This video of Broncos WRs dropping passes vs. Bills is brutal

The Broncos desperately need to add weapons for QB Bo Nix in 2025.

Four. The number is four.

In this clip below, the Denver Broncos had four drops against the Buffalo Bills in a wild card playoff matchup in the first round of the NFL playoffs. While it isn’t the sole reason they lost 31-7, the drops certainly didn’t help.

The Broncos won ten games in 2024, finishing with a 10-7 record overall, but to get to the next level, production from the wide receiver group is a must. In head coach Sean Payton’s offense, receiver production can predicate the game’s direction and flow.

Denver should look to surround quarterback Bo Nix with talent this offseason, whether through free agency, the draft or trade (or a combination of all three). If Garrett Wilson from the New York Jets remains unhappy, perhaps the Broncos could target him in a trade this spring.

While the Broncos should be proud about their postseason berth in 2024, there’s still plenty of room for improvement going forward.

FanDuel releases another Peyton and Eli Manning teaser commercial

“You can’t ruin my destiny, Peyton. Not this time, I’m 44 now!” Eli Manning exclaims in FanDuel’s Super Bowl promo.

To promote the Super Bowl festivities, FanDuel released a funny teaser trailer three weekends ago. More recently, the sportsbook has released an updated commercial that continue teasing the brotherly showdown.

In the second ad, Peyton continues to chastise Eli for fantasizing about his kicker “destiny.” The brothers are set to face off in a field goal battle before Super Bowl LIX in New Orleans on Feb. 9.

“You can’t ruin my destiny, Peyton. Not this time, I’m 44 now!” Eli exclaims. Watch the 45-second version of the commercial below:

Ed McCaffrey had a funny take on his big block in Super Bowl XXXII

“Totally legal in 1998! 30 yards of penalties in 2025,” Ed McCaffrey tweeted about his iconic block in Super Bowl XXXII.

Former Denver Broncos wide receiver Ed McCaffrey delivered an iconic block for fullback Howard Griffith in Super Bowl XXXII in 1998.

With the Broncos and Green Bay Packers tied at 24-24 in the fourth quarter, quarterback John Elway hit Griffith in the flat and McCaffrey blocked Packers linebacker Brian Williams, allowing Griffith to pick up 15 more yards.

“Brian Williams, that’s Ed McCaffrey that just tattooed you on your back!” was the moment’s iconic call. As Griffith ran down field, McCaffrey stood over Williams and pointed at him on the ground.

The play resurfaced on social media over the weekend on the game’s anniversary and McCaffrey had a funny response on Twitter/X:

“Totally legal in 1998! 30 yards of penalties in 2025. Good times!” McCaffrey tweeted on Saturday.

Denver went on to defeat Green Bay 31-24, marking the first Super Bowl win in franchise history. The Broncos then defeated the Atlanta Falcons in the Super Bowl the following year, winning back-to-back titles.

The Kansas City Chiefs are in the midst of a proverbial bullfight in the final frame of their divisional-round matchup against the Houston Texans in the AFC playoffs.

Mahomes and Kelce have combined for more than 100 yards in the game, marking one of the most prolific performances by the duo this season.

Broncos fans are reading into viral clip of Sean Payton’s press conference

Broncos fans are reading into Sean Payton’s “misery” comments on the 2023 season, and even Richard Sherman has chimed in.

While wrapping up his end-of-season press conference on Wednesday, Denver Broncos coach Sean Payton indicated that the team is at a much better place now than it was a year ago.

“Obviously, we’re still not there yet, and yet we’re a lot closer than we were at this time a year ago. That was misery, sorrow, drudgery — give me some other adjectives there — just, gah. That was brutal. Let’s say that.”

In 2023, the Broncos were all but officially eliminated from playoff contention with a 26-23 home loss to the 4-10 New England Patriots on Christmas Eve. Denver was officially eliminated the following week.

Some Broncos fans on Twitter/X have inferred that Payton was referring to the Russell Wilson experience that season.

“Sean Payton HATED Russell Wilson,” @MeinerzMuse captioned a post sharing Payton’s comment.

“That’s what Russ does to a team,” added @h00737062.

The clip has been dubbed an “instant classic” and “one of the funniest Broncos videos of all time,” but not everyone agrees that it was a direct reference to Wilson.

“Or maybe he’s just talking about how they barley missed the playoffs,” @JMurrayWrld chimed in.

Added @VisorPayton: “I think he’s implying to how the season ended. Which was Russ mainly. But ya lol.”

One fan tagged Richard Sherman in the post and apologized to him. Sherman has been outspoke in his criticism of his former teammate. Sherman appreciated the apology.

Fans have compared Payton’s comments Wednesday to another viral Broncos press conference moment when ex-coach Vic Fangio wished Teddy Bridgewater a happy birthday but overlooked Drew Lock’s birthday on the same day.

Regardless of whether Payton’s remark was a general comment on the end to the 2023 season or a reference to his old QB, it’s clear that the Broncos are better off now with Bo Nix than they were after last season.
