WATCH: Matt Lepay calls the final moments of Wisconsin’s electrifying win over Purdue

Your reaction to Wisconsin’s buzzer-beating win over Purdue?

Wisconsin basketball put forth the effort of the year Saturday afternoon in Minneapolis. It defeated Purdue, 76-75, with a last-second shot in overtime despite the dominance of Boilermakers big man Zach Edey and nearly every Wisconsin big man having fouled out.

The win is significant for numerous reasons. First, the Badgers are on to the final of the 2024 Big Ten Tournament to face Illinois. Second, Greg Gard’s team is playing its best basketball at the perfect time and appears to have put its month-long struggles in the past.

One of the reasons for the victory today, and the general turnaround, is the stellar play of point guard Chucky Hepburn. His 22 points led the Badgers while his stellar defense on Braden Smith set up the team’s chance at the game-winning basket.

Wisconsin fans know what came next: Max Klesmit made a last-second bucket to give the Badgers an improbable and electrifying victory.

WATCH: Kyle Filipowski throws down windmill dunk in transition against the Cavaliers

Duke dominated the opening half against Virginia on Saturday, including this ferocious windmill dunk from 7-foot sophomore Kyle Filipowski.

Duke basketball couldn’t have dreamed of a better start against Virginia on Saturday night.

The Blue Devils made a field goal on each of their first four possessions and rattled off a 14-2 run in the opening five minutes. Sophomore Kyle Filipowski led the charge with 15 points in the first 15 minutes of the game, including multiple tough shots in the paint and a statement three early in the game.

However, none of Filipowski’s baskets were louder than the dunk he threw down with five minutes left in the half.

With Duke already leading 33-13, Filipowski got his hands on a Virginia inbounds pass and outran everyone in transition, giving him an open look at the basket. The Duke sophomore took advantage, leaping into the air and windmilling the ball into the basket for a thunderous dunk.

After the basket, Filipowski had 15 points for the game. Virginia as a team only had 13 points.

Wisconsin basketball fans share the best dunks in Kohl Center history

What is your favorite Kohl Center moment?

Wisconsin guard A.J. Storr lit social media on fire with his poster dunk against Maryland on Tuesday.

The Badgers won the game 74-70, improving to 18-9 on the season and 10-6 in Big Ten play. While the 1-5 skid to start February mostly dropped the team out of Big Ten contention, there is still a sliver of hope entering the final stretch.

It’s a good thing Wisconsin held on to beat Maryland, because otherwise Storr’s acrobatic dunk might’ve been forgotten. The win makes it easier to celebrate the play — one which made it as the No. 2 play on SportsCenter’s Top 10:

In honor of this dunk, Wisconsin basketball’s official ‘X’ account asked fans to share the best dunks in Kohl Center history. Here are some of those responses:

Social media reacts to Iowa star Caitlin Clark setting the NCAA women’s all-time scoring record

Iowa star Caitlin Clark just made history.

Clark’s early three-point bomb against Michigan brought her to 3,528 career points, setting the NCAA women’s basketball all-time scoring record.

The basket moved Clark past Washington great Kelsey Plum, who had finished her career with 3,527 points.

Clark naturally wasn’t going to stop after setting the record. Now through the first quarter, she’s dropped 23 points on 8/10 shooting. The Athletic’s Scott Dochterman noted the Big Ten single-game scoring record is 60, if she dares to continue her torrid pace.

Whether you’re a Wisconsin Badgers fan, Iowa Hawkeyes fan, or just a fan of sports, this story has been incredible to follow over the last few years.

And of course, Clark finally broke the record in vintage fashion:

Social media was buzzing when Clark hit that deep three-pointer to set the record. Here are some of the best reactions:

Former Wisconsin linebacker’s play won Super Bowl 58 for the Kansas City Chiefs

Former Wisconsin linebacker Leo Chenal is a two-time Super Bowl champion in only two years in the NFL.

It helps to be drafted by a franchise led by Andy Reid and Patrick Mahomes and play on one of the best defenses in the NFL. Though Chenal fell to the third round and 103rd pick of the 2022 NFL draft, he’s made the Chiefs’ brass look smart for selecting him.

Through two seasons the former Badger has recorded 100 tackles, 11 tackles for loss, 10 quarterback hits and four sacks. He has quickly become a valuable part of a stellar inside linebacker corps alongside Willie Gay and Nick Bolton.

One could argue it was his play that propelled the Chiefs to a 25-22 overtime win over the 49ers in Super Bowl 58 Sunday night.

First, Chenal forced 49ers running back Christian McCaffrey to fumble on the first possession of the game.

Then, he blocked a San Francisco extra point to keep it a three-point game. That saved point allowed the Chiefs to force overtime and eventually take home the trophy.

Chenal finished the contest with six tackles, one tackle for loss, the forced fumble and a blocked extra point.

Brian Baldinger had a great breakdown of his entire night:

Patrick Mahomes won Super Bowl MVP, but Chenal made some of the game’s most crucial plays.

The inside linebacker is hoping to make the next level after appearing in 28 games during his Wisconsin career, during which he recorded 158 tackles, 20 tackles for loss, 6.5 sacks and one interception.
