Three-star OT Vysen Lang sets official visit to Texas

The Alabama product has major upside at the collegiate level.

Texas offensive line coach Kyle Flood is looking to SEC territory to add to the Longhorns 2023 recruiting class.

Three-star offensive tackle Vysen Lang is set for an official visit to Austin from June 21-24.

The Pike Road, Alabama product has compiled an impressive offer list of 25 schools. Texas made the cut in Lang’s list of top schools he released back in April. Arkansas, Auburn, Georgia, Florida, LSU, Ole Miss, Tennessee, Texas A&M and Vanderbilt joined Texas in Lang’s top 10.

Lang’s 6-foot-5 frame gives him major upside at the next level. He is the prototypical type of athlete that Kyle Flood loves to work with on the offensive line.

Texas signed seven offense lineman in the class of 2022 and are looking to continue building up the unit again with the 2023 cycle.

Alabama offensive tackle sets five visits for the month of April, Auburn up first

Auburn is set to host Vysen Lang, a four-star offensive tackle in April.

On Monday it was announced that 2023 four-star offensive tackle [autotag]Vysen Lang[/autotag] would make another unofficial visit to the Plains. Lang has reportedly visited campus on two other instances in the past six months.

Head coach Bryan Harsin and the Tigers are looking to beef up their offensive line to go along with the 2023 commit, [autotag]Bradyn Joiner[/autotag]. Thus far, Joiner is Harsin’s only commit at this time. As we know, that can change in an instant once prospects start to buy-in.

Lang brings size and length to the edge. He will use his size to his advantage to bully defenders who line up across from him. A player that plays through the whistle. He doesn’t give up on plays and will continue to punish defenders. Lang has a nastiness that is needed on this football team.

The video below is just a sample of what the Alabama native brings to the table.

Vysen Lang’s Film

Next, we take a look at his recruiting profile.

4-star offensive line prospect set to visit LSU

Vysen Lang will hope to receive an offer from LSU when he’s on campus on Monday.

Bulking up the offensive line will certainly be a priority for Tigers coach Brian Kelly in recruiting over the next couple of cycles, and he could be set to offer another blue-chip lineman from the 2023 class.

Vysen Lang,  a 6-foot-4 335 pound four-star offensive tackle from Pike Road, Alabama, is set to visit Baton Rouge on March 21.

Offensive line coach Brad Davis has been the primary recruiter for Lang but the Tigers have yet to officially offer him. Lang plays for the Pike Road Patriots, one of the fastest-growing schools in the state of Alabama.

Pike Road played its first football season as a 3A school in 2018. They finished with a 6-5 record that year. Since then, the Patriots have been an absolute menace to everyone that they have played against.

Due to their massive growth, Pike Road moved up to Class 5A after the 2019 season. Last season was their best year yet as they finished 14-0 and won the 5A state championship game against Pleasant Grove 51-14. Lang was a pivotal part of that team as he terrorized opposing defenders and made more pancakes than IHOP.

Lang will hope to receive an offer while he’s in town, and if he does, LSU could be in a good position for him. However, there will certainly be strong competition for the rising prospect.

The Georgia Bulldogs have offered a scholarship to offensive tackle prospect Vysen Lang. Land is currently a sophomore in high school, but has been impressive enough to receive several scholarship offers thus far.

Lang is a member of the class of 2023. He plays high school football for Pike Road High School in Alabama.

He’s received scholarship offers from Tennessee, Georgia Tech, and South Carolina. Now, Kirby Smart and the University of Georgia join this short list. Expect Lang’s list of offers to grow immensely over the next few years.

Lang flashes some coveted traits on film in addition to his massive size. The Pick Road lineman is six-foot-five and weighs 330 pounds.

Check out some of Lang’s tape below. Lang’s size immediately pops on film. He plays several positions in this game, including left tackle, right tackle, and right guard. A versatile lineman is a great asset to any college football team. Their ability to change positions without missing a beat is invaluable. Notably, Land blocks multiple defenders in one play on several occasions.

Vysen Lang is going to be fun to watch over the years. He was quite excited to receive a scholarship offer from the Georgia Bulldogs. He announced the news via his Twitter account:

Lang appears to be no stranger in the kitchen either. He was celebrating July 4th right this year.
