Early signing period: Ayden Bussell signs with Tennessee

The 2022 early signing period is taking place Dec. 21-23 for the 2023 recruiting signing class.

The 2022 early signing period is Josh Heupel’s second as Tennessee’s head coach. He was hired as the Vols’ head coach in Jan. 2021.

Heupel guided the Vols to a 10-2 regular season in 2022.

No. 6 Tennessee (10-2, 6-2 SEC) will play No. 7 Clemson (11-2, 8-0 ACC) in the Capital One Orange Bowl on Dec. 30.

Kickoff between the Vols and Tigers is slated for 8 p.m. EST (ESPN) at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens, Florida.

Ayden Bussell signed with the Vols on Wednesday during the early signing period.

The 6-foot-5, 287-pound offensive lineman is from Mount Juliet High School in Mount Juliet, Tennessee.

An in-state 2023 offensive lineman commits to Tennessee.

2023 offensive line prospect Ayden Bussell has committed to Tennessee.

“Staying home,” Bussell announced Monday.

The 6-foot-5, 288-pound in-state prospect is from Mt. Juliet High School in Mt. Juliet, Tennessee.

Tennessee offered Bussell on May 3, 2021.

Bussell has offers from the Vols, Kentucky, Vanderbilt, Boston College, Eastern Kentucky, Indiana, Memphis, Mississippi State, Ole Miss, Vanderbilt and Virginia Tech.

Bussell is Tennessee’s third commitment for its 2023 recruiting class.

Second-year Tennessee head coach Josh Heupel and his staff continue to recruit future Vols.

2023 offensive line prospect Ayden Bussell announced he will visit Tennessee Jan. 22.

“I will be in Knoxville next Saturday,” Bussell announced.

The 6-foot-5, 288-pound in-state prospect is from Mt. Juliet High School in Mt. Juliet, Tennessee.

Ayden Bussell offered by Tennessee after call from Willie Martinez

Tennessee Vols’ football recruiting news.

Josh Heupel and Tennessee’s coaching staff continues to recruit future Vols.

The Vols offered a scholarship to 2023 offensive line prospect Ayden Bussell.

“After a great call with Coach Willie Martinez, I am extremely blessed and excited to receive an offer from the University of Tennessee,” Bussell said on Twitter.

The 6-foot-5, 285-pound Bussell is from Mount Juliet High School in Mount Juliet, Tennessee.

Martinez is designated for recruiting the East/Middle region of Tennessee’s in-state takeover.

Bussell has offers from Tennessee, Kentucky, Vanderbilt and Eastern Kentucky.

The Vols do not have a commitment for its 2023 recruiting class.

Tennessee hired Heupel as its head coach on Jan. 27. The Vols kick off the 2021 season on Sept. 4 against Bowling Green at Neyland Stadium.
