On defense, both teams have talented pass rushers and dynamic talent in the secondary.

Bucs Week 3 Friday injury report: More Bucs added to the list

Tampa Bay’s injury list grew on Friday as the second-to-last injury report of the week was released.

The Friday injury report offers little good news for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. While several Philadelphia Eagles players were upgraded, a couple of starters found themselves added to the list.

Linebacker Devin White (groin) and right guard Cody Mauch (back) were added to the injury list as limited participants at Friday’s practice. There were no changes for defensive tackle Vita Vea (pectoral), who remained limited, or rookies Calijah Kancey (calf) and SirVocea Dennis (hamstring), neither of whom practiced. The only upgrade was safety Ryan Neal (ribs/knee), going from limited to a full participant on Friday.

Meanwhile, four Eagles, all listed as starters, went from limited to full participants at practice. The only Philadelphia players still held out were backups or rotational players, wide receiver Quez Watkins (hamstring) and safety Terrell Edmunds (illness).

Due to playing on Monday night, the Bucs will release one more injury report on Saturday. Most likely, Kancey and Dennis will miss Week 3, but it could come down to the wire with the rest of the injured Bucs. This is the second time Mauch has appeared on the injury report with back issues. He first popped on the list before Week 1 and missed Tampa Bay’s season opener. A return to the injury report for the same issue does not bode well for Mauch’s week-to-week health this season.

Bucs Week 3 Thursday injury report: Two starters added to the list

Two new names have appeared on the team’s injury report for Week 3.

With the Tampa Bay Buccaneers making their prime time debut on Monday Night Football next week, their first injury report may have Bucs fans concerned with the health of their defense. Fortunately for Tampa Bay, the Philadelphia Eagles appear to be in much rougher shape.

Defensive tackle Vita Vea (pectoral) and safety Ryan Neal (rib/knee) make their first appearances on the injury list this year, both deemed limited participants at Thursday’s practice. Rookies Calijah Kancey (calf) and SirVocea Dennis (hamstring) are both still sitting out practice. Starting cornerback Carlton Davis (toe) appears to be on the mend as his status was upgraded to limited participation after being held out the past week.

The Eagles on the other hand had a dozen players on their injury report. The most significant inclusions are starting defensive tackles Fletcher Cox (ribs) and Jordan Davis (ankle) as well as starting cornerback James Bradberry (concussion), all of whom are listed as limited participants at practice. It is far too early to predict how these injuries will impact their availability for Monday Night Football, but that many names does increase the likelihood that some will miss their matchup with Tampa Bay.
