2023 4-star OL RyQueze McElderry officially signs with Alabama

2023 four-star offensive lineman RyQueze McElderry signed his National Letter of Intent to Alabama on Wednesday. He was committed to Georgia before flipping to the Tide.

The Alabama coaching staff was able to keep 2023 four-star offensive lineman RyQueze McElderry on board. The Alabama native was formerly committed to Georgia. Auburn also attempted to make a push following his commitment to the Tide back in July.

McElderry is ranked as the No. 376 overall recruit in the country, according to 247Sports’ Composite Rankings. He is listed as 6-foot-3, 340 pounds.

He will reunite with former high school teammate and Alabama safety Antonio Kite. McElderry and Kite are two underclassmen that Tide fans should get to know. The two of them could see the field a good bit for the Tide next season.

Roll Tide Wire will continue to cover Alabama football and the early signing period as more commits sign their national letters of intent.

Alabama Football: Six early enrollees to join Tide on Friday for Sugar Bowl prep

Though these prospects will be ineligible to participate in the matchup with the Wildcats, the experience these young players will receive is invaluable.

[autotag]Nick Saban[/autotag] and the Alabama Crimson Tide are set to begin practice on Friday in preparation for the Kansas State Wildcats and the Allstate Sugar Bowl.

Joining the Crimson Tide on the practice field will be six new faces that are a part of Alabama’s top-ranked recruiting class for the 2023 cycle.

Though these prospects will be ineligible to participate in the matchup with the Wildcats, the experience these young players will receive is invaluable.

Currently, Alabama is set to have seven practices in Tuscaloosa before making the trip to New Orleans.

Below is a complete practice schedule and the list of prospects scheduled to join the team on Friday:

3-star OL RyQueze McElderry flips commitment from Georgia

Three-star offensive guard recruit RyQueze McElderry has flipped his commitment from Georgia to Alabama

Three-star offensive guard recruit RyQueze McElderry has flipped his commitment from Georgia to Alabama. McElderry decommitted from Georgia in early July and almost immediately changed his pledge to the Alabama Crimson Tide.

McElderry is a member of the class of 2023 and plays high school football for Anniston High School in Anniston, Alabama. Nick Saban and Alabama are always some of the best in-state recruiters in the country.

The three-star’s decommitment drops Georgia football down to 12 commitments in the class of 2023. The Bulldogs have secured commitments from a pair of 2023 offensive linemen.

Georgia currently has the No. 7 ranked recruiting class in the country per 247Sports. Alabama has the No. 19 ranked recruiting class. Both teams have plenty of room and time to improve upon their respective rankings.

RyQueze McElderry originally committed to Georgia in December 2021. The three-star offensive line recruit holds scholarship offers from numerous SEC programs, but his recruitment came down to Georgia and Alabama.

The 6-foot-3, 340-pound offensive lineman is very powerful. In his high school tape, the three-star offensive guard frequently locks into opposing defensive linemen and controls them for the rest of the play. The Anniston High School star played a lot of right tackle in his impressive highlights, but he is expected convert to offensive guard at the college level.

McElderry announced his commitment to Alabama on July 4:

Alabama lands commitment from top junior college WR prospect, Malik Benson

Alabama lands the commitment of top junior college prospect Malik Benson. He has been the top wide receiver target for the coaching staff over the last few months.

Alabama received some good news on Independence Day by landing a commitment from three-star offensive lineman [autotag]RyQueze McElderry[/autotag]. The Crimson Tide continued their recent hot streak by landing junior college wide receiver Malik Benson on Tuesday. He chose Alabama over Tennessee, Oregon, Georgia and LSU.

Benson, who is listed at 6-foot-1 and 185 pounds, is regarded as the top junior college prospect by 247Sports’ recruiting rankings. Last season at Hutchinson Community College, Benson hauled in 43 receptions for 1,229 receiving yards and 11 touchdowns. He creates separation in his route-running and is very dynamic when the ball is in his hands. The Tide has a good reputation for developing wide receivers and Benson could be the next elite wide receiver to come out of Tuscaloosa.

Recently, Alabama’s recruiting trail has begun to pick up steam. Several of the Tide’s top targets are expected to commit to Alabama.

Benson has been a big-time target for the Crimson Tide for quite some time and has the ability to have an immediate impact on the offensive side of the ball next season.

Five-star OT Francis Mauigoa picks Miami over Alabama, others

Alabama misses out on five-star offensive tackle Francis Mauigoa.

Happy Fourth of July Tide fans! I hope everyone is enjoying their Independence Day on this beautiful Monday.

Today has already been a busy day for [autotag]Nick Saban[/autotag] and his staff in Tuscaloosa as the Tide was able to receive a commitment from four-star offensive lineman [autotag]RyQueze McElderry[/autotag].

Unfortunately for the Tide, Alabama has missed out on five-star offensive tackle [autotag]Francis Mauigoa[/autotag] in favor of the Miami Hurricanes.

Mauigoa picked the Hurricanes over not only Alabama but also USC, Florida, and Tennessee among others.

Despite missing out on Mauigoa, Alabama is still in contention for another five-star offensive tackle in [autotag]Samson Okunlola[/autotag].

Stay tuned to Roll Tide Wire for continuous coverage of Alabama football recruiting.

Alabama lands former Georgia commit, RyQueze McElderry

Alabama got good news on July 4 as 2023 three-star offensive lineman RyQueze McElderry committed to Alabama.

The Alabama football team received a bit of good news on Independence Day. 2023 offensive lineman [autotag]RyQueze McElderry[/autotag] announced that he was committing to Alabama via Twitter.

He was formerly committed to Georgia before backing off of his commitment just a few days ago. McElderry has been a priority offensive line target for the Tide even though he was committed to Georgia.

He is regarded as a three-star according to 247Sports’ recruiting rankings. McElderry is listed at 6-foot-3 and 340 pounds. He plays for Anniston High School in Anniston, Alabama. Interestingly enough, he will be reuniting with a high school teammate, Antonio Kite. Since he received an offer in November, he has taken one unofficial visit and attended a junior day.

Alabama fans have high hopes that things will begin to heat up for the recruiting class in the months ahead. Several of the Tide’s key targets like Malik Benson, Peter Woods, Raul Aguirre, and Malik Bryant are all making their commitments in the next few weeks. All are expected to commit to Alabama at this time. Nonetheless, the recruiting class just got a huge boost in landing McElderry. He has sky-rocketed up the Tide’s recruiting board as well as recruiting rankings in the past few months. This is a huge win for the Tide.

2023 Prospects: RyQueze McElderry’s Recruiting Profile

Here is what you need to know about RyQueze McElderry, who is back on the market after decommiting from Georgia.

Going into the 2022 football season, Auburn Wire will be looking at players that receive a scholarship offer from the Tigers.

Prior to national signing day, each profile will cover where the player is from, how recruiting websites rate them and what their role could be for Bryan Harsin.

Up next is three-star offensive lineman [autotag]RyQueze McElderry[/autotag]. Despite committing to Georgia early in the recruiting cycle, Auburn never stopped recruiting McElderry and that looks to have paid off. He decommitted from the Bulldogs on Saturday and the Tigers are one of several schools that have a shot to land the Aniston, Alabama product.

Auburn OL target RyQueze McElderry decommits from Georgia

Auburn never gave up on flipping RyQueze McElderry, will it pay off?

Despite committing to Georgia, Auburn never gave up on three-star offensive lineman [autotag]RyQueze McElderry[/autotag]. That decision paid off on Saturday when he revealed he had decommitted from the Bulldogs on Twitter.

The Aniston, Alabama product took an official visit to the Plains on May 27 and has taken multiple unofficial visits. The Tigers as well as Alabama and Tennessee are the schools he has been linked to most leading up to him backing off his pledge to Georgia.

He is not expected to be on the market long as he has said he wants to make his decision soon and a July commitment seems likely.

McElderberry is ranked as the No. 406 overall player and No. 25 interior offensive lineman in the 247Sports Composite ranking. He is also ranked as the No. 22 player from Alabama.

The 6-foot-3.5, 335-pound McElderberry is cousins with current Auburn commit Bradyn Joiner, who also projects as an interior offensive lineman.

Tigers extend offer to 4-star offensive line prospect

Can the Tigers steal a talented OL prospect from right out of Alabama and Auburn’s backyard?

Ryqueze McElderry is a four-star offensive lineman from Anniston, Alabama. The 6-foot-3 340 pound lineman starts for the Class 4A Anniston Bulldogs, a team I have some familiarity with.

The Anniston Bulldogs were led to a 5-5 record and a first-round playoff loss to the St. James Trojans by 2022 Alabama signee and four-star athlete Antonio Kite, as well as a plethora of pancakes by McElderry.

McElderry is currently committed to play for the Georgia Bulldogs.

Anniston is pretty much sandwiched between Alabama and Auburn, so I’d expect both of them to make a run at him as 2023 recruiting ramps up. Hopefully, Coach Kelly can work his magic with McElderry, because he is a human motor grader.
