Best-case scenario for the 1st 10 picks in the 2024 NFL draft

Which players can help the teams in the Top 10 of the 2024 NFL draft?

Anytime we look at the NFL draft in terms of a mock draft, there are a couple of ways to approach it. You can approach the draft like a prediction in playing GM for all 32 teams. Or you can offer up a true prediction even if you don’t agree with the picks, it’s more about what you would think the team would do.

This time around, we decided to do a little experiment. Only using the first 10 picks, let’s try and give those teams the best-case scenario regardless of team need or player rankings. Some of these are going to surprise you.

Ohio State WR Marvin Harrison Jr. impresses with huge game vs Penn State

Ohio State wide receiver Marvin Harrison Jr. looked like the best player in college football on Saturday.

There is no denying the Ohio State offense is now what it has been in recent years. There is no top-tier quarterback or blue-chip running back to help carry the load. But the Buckeyes do have a Maserati.

Marvin “Maserati” Harrison Jr. rose to the occasion on Saturday against Penn State and despite the struggles by quarterback Kyle McCord, threw the offense on his back to push the Buckeyes to the win.

Harrison finished with a career-high 11 catches for 162 yards and one touchdown. This might not be his best performance of the season statistically but it is games like this that NFL teams point to when they consider if a receiver is worth a Top Five pick.

At this point, the gap between Harrison and whoever you consider the second-best wide receiver in the country is widening. And that is with all due respect to guys like LSU’s Malik Nabers, Florida State’s Keon Coleman and Washington’s Rome Odunze. All great players but Harrison is the guy you draft and know even as a rookie he will make his new team better from day one.

Top 2024 WR prospects proved themselves in CFB Week 7

The 2024 draft class is loaded at wide receiver and many of the top prospects showed why in CFB Week 7

There is still a lot of college football to be played this season, but already the draft class of 2024 is looking loaded at wide receiver. Several of the top prospects at wideout had big games in matchups during Week 7 of college football, boosting their draft credentials in a variety of ways across the CFB landscape.

Ohio State head coach Ryan Day updates wide receiver Emeka Egbuka’s status

It could be worse #GoBucks

Unfortunately for [autotag]Ohio State football[/autotag], it’s become all too common for a star player to get injured.

Last year it was Jaxon Smith-Njigba, and although [autotag]Marvin Harrison Jr.[/autotag] toughed it out against Maryland, he was hobbled the week prior with an ankle injury even if it didn’t look like he was.

[autotag]Emeka Egbuka[/autotag] was injured while playing against the Terrapins and on Tuesday Buckeye head coach [autotag]Ryan Day[/autotag] updated his status. He told the media that Egbuka’s injury isn’t long term, but that is extremely vague. As Dave Biddle put it, if you take what Day said, it doesn’t seem like the junior will play this weekend.

There is a silver lining to potentially missing Egbuka this weekend against Purdue: Some of the younger receivers such as [autotag]Carnell Tate[/autotag], [autotag]Brandon Inniss[/autotag] and [autotag]Jayden Balland[/autotag] will get extended looks.

Watch: Ohio State football arrives to Notre Dame Stadium

The Buckeyes are in the building #GoBucks

As we continue to wait for [autotag]Ohio State football[/autotag] to finally take the field on this Saturday, we now know that they have entered the building.

The Buckeyes social media account shared a video of head coach [autotag]Ryan Day[/autotag], multiple players including [autotag]Marvin Harrison Jr.[/autotag] and [autotag]J.T. Tuimoloau[/autotag] getting off the bus as they arrive to Notre Dame Stadium.

The anticipation has been building for this top-10 contest, as we now know which Buckeyes will be missed, along with which ESPN GameDay personality has picked Ohio State to come out victorious.

Check out the video shared on X, the website formerly known as Twitter, of the Buckeyes arriving to the stadium, ready to take care of business.

Watch: Multiple Ohio State football players star in commercial for Chipotle

I’d do it for free burritos too #GoBucks

Now that Name, image and likeness has had a bit of time for companies to figure out which schools to invest with, a match made in heaven for several [autotag]Ohio State football[/autotag] players and [autotag]Chipotle[/autotag] has happened.

I, like many Buckeye students, have fond memories of getting Chipotle on High Street, my friends and I waited in line for over two hours on their opening day to get free burritos. A few Buckeye players have linked up with the chain restaurant to make a commercial.

[autotag]Marvin Harrison Jr.[/autotag], [autotag]TreVeyon Henderson[/autotag], [autotag]Miyan Williams[/autotag], [autotag]Tommy Eichenberg[/autotag] and a few of their teammates starred in an ad for Chipotle, which you can see below.

Not gonna lie, I’m kind of jealous of this deal, as it would be nice to get a few more burritos on the house. Congrats to these Buckeyes on their NIL deal with Chipotle.

Top 50 prospects for the 2024 NFL draft for the beginning of fall

Updating the top 50 prospects for the 2024 NFL draft for the beginning of fall

Summer is falling into autumn on the calendar. While it might not feel like it in many places, the autumnal equinox will take place early Saturday morning.

That means summer football is over for the vast majority of college teams and 2024 NFL draft prospects. It’s a good time to take stock and re-rank the top 50 prospects on the overall 2024 big board.

These rankings are based on current observational grades and do not necessarily reflect the order in which they will be taken. That’s what mock drafts are for…

Ohio State’s Marvin Harrison Jr. clocked with fastest sprint speed in Week 2

Harrison Jr. was flying #GoBucks

One of my favorite new X, the website formerly known as Twitter, accounts is [autotag]Reel Analytics[/autotag] and they singled out [autotag]Ohio State football[/autotag] star wide receiver, [autotag]Marvin Harrison Jr.[/autotag]

The presumed top-five NFL draft prospect had a monster game, catching 7 passes for 160 yards and two scores. One of those catches was a career long 71-yard strike where Harrison Jr. beat his defender and raced into the end zone.

That open field run was named as the fastest run speed in all of college football during Week 2 by Reel Analytics, clocking the Buckeye at a very impressive 22.2 miles-per-hour. For a player not known for his speed, this was very impressive by Harrison Jr.

Hopefully that was the first of many long scoring jaunts by Ohio State’s star receiver this season.

Ohio State football vs Youngstown State: Five observations halftime review

Ohio State football vs Youngstown State: Five observations at halftime. #GoBucks

The Ohio State football team is looking much better against the Youngstown State Penguins, going into halftime with a 28-7 lead. Now, I understand the Buckeyes had a much slower start than anticipated, but I think there have been more positive takeaways than negative despite the fact that they are playing an FCS opponent.

I don’t want to spoil the list too much, but some of the issues from last week have seemingly disappeared and that should make Ohio State fans happy. Now, some of the same old issues have shown their face, but it is so hard to gauge what is planned considering that the coaching staff was aware of the huge talent discrepancy. Now let’s dive into the five most noticeable things from the first half.
