Chipotle renames a Kansas City store in honor of Travis Kelce’s old, misspelled tweet

It’s spelled CHIPOLTE now, thanks to Travis Kelce.

Travis Kelce’s old, harmless and delightfully goofy tweets will never die, thanks partially to X (formerly Twitter) and Taylor Swift fans.

Now, thanks to Chipotle, one tweet (post) is getting a whole new life: The chain renamed one of its locations in Kansas City “Chipolte,” because Kelce once tweeted back in 2011: “Went from class to therapy, now I need some #chipolte and then I’m off to check out my new apt!!”

Yes, he spelled it wrong. And now it’s enshrined forever* (*until the store changes it back after bringing attention to itself).

Check it out, thanks to the Tex-Mex chain:

Watch: Multiple Ohio State football players star in commercial for Chipotle

I’d do it for free burritos too #GoBucks

Now that Name, image and likeness has had a bit of time for companies to figure out which schools to invest with, a match made in heaven for several [autotag]Ohio State football[/autotag] players and [autotag]Chipotle[/autotag] has happened.

I, like many Buckeye students, have fond memories of getting Chipotle on High Street, my friends and I waited in line for over two hours on their opening day to get free burritos. A few Buckeye players have linked up with the chain restaurant to make a commercial.

[autotag]Marvin Harrison Jr.[/autotag], [autotag]TreVeyon Henderson[/autotag], [autotag]Miyan Williams[/autotag], [autotag]Tommy Eichenberg[/autotag] and a few of their teammates starred in an ad for Chipotle, which you can see below.

Not gonna lie, I’m kind of jealous of this deal, as it would be nice to get a few more burritos on the house. Congrats to these Buckeyes on their NIL deal with Chipotle.

Will Shipley signs a NIL deal with Chipotle, Clemson gets ‘Shipotle’

Shipley has one of the coolest NIL deals we’ve seen yet.

Have you been to Chipotle? I’m sure many of you have… but what about Shipotle?

Two years ago, Shipley responded to a tweet from Chipotle, asking about college athletes the company should sponsor. As a big fan of the brand, the star running back put himself in the conversation.

“I can promise you I love Chipotle more than anyone else in the world,” Shipley tweeted back in 2021. SPONSOR ME.”

Two years later, Shipley got what he asked for and is now sponsored by Chipotle. With the partnership, the Chipotle restaurant at 393 College Ave in Downtown Clemson has been temporarily renamed “Shipotle.” The first 1,000 guests to purchase any entrée from the 393 College Avenue restaurant, starting Sept. 17 while supplies last.

It’s an awesome deal for Shipley; I’m sure this is one he’ll never forget.

BUT NOT TODAY!

Here’s the deal: Use the code AVO2023 when you check out of the app or Chipotle website if you’re a Rewards member and you can get free guacamole either in your dish or on the side.

5 things Brittany Lincicome brings to every LPGA tournament.

LPGA star Brittany Lincicome is playing in the Pelican Women’s Championship next week, her first event back on tour after having her second child.

Every player has certain items or foods that they need at every tournament to make their time on the road easier and sustainable. Golfweek asked Lincicome what her must-haves are for every tournament and you can be sure that these items will make their way to Pelican Hill.

We occasionally recommend interesting products, services, and gaming opportunities. If you make a purchase by clicking one of the links, we may earn an affiliate fee. Golfweek operates independently, though, and this doesn’t influence our coverage.

Boston’s Marcus Smart gets his own Chipotle black card – and a robe

Is there a Tex-Mex rivalry brewing in Auerbach Center?

Boston Celtics veteran guard Marcus Smart wants the world to know he’s finally team president Danny Ainge’s equal … at least in Chipotle.

The favorite restaurant of the top dog in the Celtics front office has evidently reached out to the Flower Mound native to offer him a sponsorship including the coveted celebrity of “black” card Ainge has made a name for himself by using — perhaps even overusing — the “all-you-can-eat-for-free” perk in the past. Smart, while not a known fanatic for the Tex-Mex chain, has been known to play a prank or two in a nearby Chipotle often frequented by the team.

“[Chipotle] got me right for the new season and 1st game tonight with a fresh Celebrity Card and my own custom robe Shamrock,” tweeted Smart to announce his newest and perhaps most treasured hardware.

And while we’re thinking about it, unless Ainge has the same sort of loungewear he hasn’t modeled like Boston’s best known robe aficionado, it might just be the case that Smart has surpassed his boss, at least in situations where guacamole is involved.

Falcons fullback reveals he eats Chipotle ‘four or five times a day’

That’s a lot of burrito bowls.

For a professional football player, eating is a major part of the job, especially if you’re expected to block other behemoth players to open up lanes for your running back or prevent your quarterback from being hit. Atlanta Falcons fullback Keith Smith stands at 6-foot-0 and 240 pounds, and the key to maintaining that physique may surprise you.

During an appearance on Bro Bible’s Endless Hustle Podcast, Smith shared that he has a somewhat alarming Chipotle habit. According to Smith, he eats the same order from Chipotle “four or five times a day.” His go-to? A bowl with chicken, rice and beans. That’s it!

To be fair, there are far worse fast-food addictions an athlete could have. According to Chipotle’s nutrition calculator, a bowl containing only chicken, rice and beans amounts to 520 calories, 12.5 grams of fat, 44 grams of protein and 62 grams of carbs. Multiply that by four, and you’ve got 2080 calories and 176 grams of protein.
