The Indianapolis Colts have made a pair of roster moves along the offensive line due to injuries.
The team announced on Monday that they placed center Ryan Coll on injured reserve. James Boyd of The Athletic reported that it is a shoulder injury for Coll and “likely” is season-ending.
The other move made by the Colts was waiving/injured Josh Sills, who left Saturday’s preseason game against Arizona with an ankle injury.
The Colts signed Coll about a week and a half ago to bolster the interior offensive line depth after Wesley French was placed on IR.
Coll went undrafted this past April out of Richmond, where he played left tackle and both guard positions. He has played just one preseason snap, and it came on special teams.
Sills had been spending time with the second team offense at left guard this summer. Before exiting the Cardinals’ game, Sills had surrendered two pressures in only 10 pass-blocking snaps, according to PFF.
Sills was fighting for potentially the last roster spot along the offensive line, but on the depth chart in that regard, was likely behind both Danny Pinter and Dalton Tucker.
The Colts would make two additions with these freed up roster spots, signing center Mike Panasiuk and linebacker Mike Smith Jr.
