Numerous top recruits visiting Georgia football program in June

The Georgia Bulldogs and Kirby Smart hold the top-ranked recruiting class for the class of 2022 and 2023. Who is visiting UGA in June?

Recruiting visits are back for college football! For the first time since March 2020, the NCAA’s recruiting dead period is lifted.

The Georgia Bulldogs and Kirby Smart hold the top-ranked recruiting class for the class of 2022 and 2023. There is still a long way to go, but the Dawgs have a promising amount of talent lined up to visit in June.

College football recruiting is feeling more normal. It will be a crazy month of June. Numerous prospects have committed to schools without visiting the schools in person. June is expected to be one of the busiest college football recruiting months ever.

Who are some of the top prospects set to visit the University of Georgia in June?

Nation’s top defensive end recruit thinking about Oregon

Enai White, the nation’s top defensive end recruit, is seriously considering Oregon as he lists the Ducks in his Top 8 schools.

The Oregon Ducks are already looking for Kayvon Thibodeaux’s replacement.

Ever since Mario Cristobal arrived on the scene in Eugene, the recruiting efforts have gone through the roof and that’s not going to end any time soon.

Enai White, the nation’s top defensive end and the nation’s No. 6 overall defensive prospect, has the Ducks listed in his top 8 schools he is considering.

Listed at 6-foot-5 and 230 pounds, the Philadelphia, Penn. native cut his list to the usual heavyweights in college football. Oregon is on White’s list with Alabama, Clemson, Florida, Georgia, Miami (Fla.), Ohio State, and Texas A&M.

Cristobal is getting into more and more of these top recruits’ homes. Seeing offensive tackle Penei Sewell go No. 7 overall in the NFL draft, Justin Herbert winning the NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year, and Thibodeaux likely being a top 5 pick or higher in the 2022 draft won’t hurt the Ducks’ profile.

Oregon’s 2022 recruiting class is currently ranked as No. 19 in the country and No. 1 in the Pac-12 with just eight pledges so far.

Just a few years ago, a top recruit from Pennsylvania probably wouldn’t consider Eugene to play college football, but Cristobal has proven that distance doesn’t play a factor in his recruiting methods.

Ohio State makes final eight for top 2022 defensive end

Ohio State is in the hunt for one of the nation’s top defensive ends/ The Buckeyes have made the cut for top 2022 defensive end Enai White.

One of the top-rated defensive ends in the 2022 recruiting class has narrowed his list the final eight and Ohio State has made it to the next round in the Enai White sweepstakes.

White is a four-star prospect and is rated as the No. 2 weakside defensive end and the No. 39 overall player in the nation according to 247Sports composite rankings. Recruiting analyst Brian Dohn has compared White to current NFL star, Jason Pierre-Paul.

Other teams to make White’s shortlist include Alabama, Clemson, Florida, Georgia, Miami (FL), Oregon, and Texas A&M.

White currently resides in Florida and plays his high school ball at Imhotep Institute, but is originally from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. With the Keystone state roots, it is somewhat surprising that Penn State was not included in White’s list of top schools.

White has set June 25-27 as his official date to visit Ohio State which will conclude a whirlwind, month-long tour. He’ll visit Florida on June 4-6, Georgia on June 11-13, and Alabama on June 18-20. The Buckeyes will have a great opportunity to leave the final impression.

Top 25 prospect for 2022 class includes Ohio State in trimmed list

One of the top players in the 2022 recruiting cycle, defensive end Enai White, included Ohio State in his top thirteen schools Monday.

The Ohio State football program continues to gain momentum with the 2022 recruiting class, all while trying to put the finishing touches on the 2021 class.

In fact, at the current moment, the Buckeyes have the overall No. 1 rated class for the 2021 cycle. There’s of course a very, very long runway still to go before that class takes flight as the top one, but things are going well.

And on that note, there’s another highly touted recruit that is still considering Ohio State. At 6-foot, 5-inch, and 230-pounds, defensive end Enai White is ranked as the No. 2 weakside defensive end and No. 25 overall prospect according to 247Sports Composite Rankings.

He released his top thirteen Tuesday through his Twitter account, and the Buckeyes are in the mix. Included with Ohio State is Clemson, Oklahoma, LSU, Alabama, Texas, USC, Ole Miss, Florida, Penn State, Oregon, and Miami.

Now, before anyone gets too excited, being in the top thirteen is little more than a simple nod, but you can’t get to the top spot without being included in the lists that get smaller along the way.

It’s simply too early to tell where White will go, or where he’s leaning at the moment, but it bears watching as the cycle continues.
