WATCH: Emil Ekiyor explains the participation trophy Alabama Football has

Emil Ekiyor describes the Alabama “participation trophy” in dining room

If you play for Nick Saban and the Alabama Crimson Tide, odds are you are a motivated athlete. Alabama offensive linemen, Emil Ekiyor, explained to the media that there is a participation trophy in the Tide’s dining room. The trophy says “runner-up” and “Indianapolis” on it, the site of the National Title loss against Georgia.

It’s supposed to question if you’re okay with being in second place, or do you have the drive that it takes to be a champion? A constant reminder that second place isn’t the standard in Tuscaloosa.

Every time you enter the dining room it is supposed to be a painful reminder of the loss to the Bulldogs and what it will take to avenge that game.

Alabama Morning Drive: Four-star DL Hunter Osborne to drop news on Monday

Four-star DL Hunter Osborne is set to release news on his recruitment on Monday.

Good Monday morning, Tide fans! Welcome back to another edition of Alabama Morning Drive. I hope everyone enjoyed their weekend as we start another work week.

On Sunday afternoon four-star in-state defensive lineman [autotag]Hunter Osborne[/autotag] tweeted informing fans to be on the watch Monday for an announcement regarding his recruitment.

The announcement details are vague so we can’t be too sure if Osborne will be announcing a commitment or simply announcing a future date of his decision.

Currently, Osborne is projected to select the Tide whenever he does indeed make a decision. On3’s RPM gives Alabama a 46.5% of landing Osborne.

Alabama countdown to kickoff: 55 days

We are just Emil Ekiyor days away from the start of Alabama’s 2022 football season.

The Alabama Crimson Tide will take the field for the 2022 college football season in 55 days, as Utah State visits Bryant Denny Stadium on Sept. 3.

This will be Alabama’s first season-opener at home in quite some time, as the 18-time national champs are usually selected for a nationally televised kickoff game at a neutral site against a big-time opponent.

Here at Roll Tide Wire, we will be counting down the days until [autotag]Nick Saban[/autotag] and his team takes the field.

Today, with just 55 days remaining, we will look at one of Alabama’s current starting offensive linemen, [autotag]Emil Ekiyor[/autotag].

Ekiyor has started 29 games for the Crimson Tide, including 15 during the 2021 season. The senior is set to anchor the offensive line during the 2022 season.

WATCH: Alabama football leaders spend the day with Saban on the lake

Alabama Football had their annual leadership lake day where Coach Saban takes out leaders from the football team to enjoy their hard work…

Contrary to the belief of many, the fun with [autotag]Nick Saban[/autotag] never stops! This week he hosted the Alabama football leadership council out to his Lake Tuscaloosa house for some outdoor activities like boating and jet skiing.

At the lake house the guys also get a chance to spend some non-football related time with Coach Saban and their fellow team leaders. The attendees this season were [autotag]Bryce Young[/autotag], [autotag]Cameron Latu[/autotag], [autotag]Will Reichard[/autotag], [autotag]Jordan Battle[/autotag], [autotag]Will Anderson[/autotag], [autotag]Henry To’oTo’o[/autotag], [autotag]Jaylen Moody[/autotag], [autotag]DJ Dale[/autotag], [autotag]Justin Eboigbe[/autotag], [autotag]Byron Young[/autotag], [autotag]Darrian Dalcourt[/autotag], and [autotag]Emil Ekiyor[/autotag].

Coach Saban has been complimentary of this class and their work ethic, which all starts with the leaders of the team leading by example and not complaining.

After a disappointing loss in the National Championship this past season, look for Saban and his guys to bounce back and fight for No. 19 this season.

Projected Alabama’s starting offensive line at the start of spring practice

A lot can change between now and A-Day, but let’s predict Alabama’s starting offensive line as spring practice begins.

Nick Saban and the Alabama football team began spring practice on Friday afternoon and one of the biggest question marks entering spring is the offensive line.

With just one practice completed, there isn’t any real significant information to use to try and predict how the starting offensive line will look this spring.

So this prediction is simply an educated guess. Truth be told, this prediction is likely to change before spring practice has been completed. All of us will know a lot more about this unit come April 16 when Alabama will host its annual “A-Day” game.

For now, here are my projections.

Alabama Football: 5 position groups to watch this spring

Alabama Football: 5 position groups to watch this spring

Although Nick Saban and the Alabama Crimson Tide were not able to claim a national championship this past season, the 2021 team still accomplished quite a bit.

The Tide won the SEC Championship and finished with an impressive 13-2 record and Bryce Young became the first Alabama quarterback to win the Heisman Trophy.

Now that the season has come to an end, let’s shift our focus to spring practice and which position groups Alabama fans should be watching when the Tide returns to practice in a couple of months.

ALABAMA DRAFT TRACKER: Who’s staying, who’s going

Tracking which Alabama players are returning and which are entering the NFL draft

After Monday night’s championship loss to the Georgia Bulldogs a flurry of Alabama players have been making decisions on their playing futures.

Some have entered the transfer portal, but several have also made the decision to enter the NFL draft or remain in Tuscaloosa with the Tide.

With Alabama having such a talented roster, it can be difficult to keep up with what each player has decided to do. To help all of us get a better idea of which players are heading off to the NFL and which are choosing to remain at Alabama, here is the most up-to-date list.
