Former MSU CB Eddie Pleasant is headed to the MAC

After spring ball, Eddie Pleasant found himself lower on the depth chart than he would have liked, so he made the move to transfer out of the program. Now, he has found his new home.

Pleasant has made the decision to commit to the University of Buffalo of the MAC.

MSU has lost a redshirt freshman cornerback to the transfer portal

The latest member of the Michigan State football program to enter the NCAA transfer portal is cornerback Eddie Pleasant III. It was announced via social media on Wednesday.

Pleasant, a native of Tampa, Florida, was headed into his second season with the Spartans. He did not register any stats during his limited playing time in his true freshman season.

Report: Michigan State football CB Eddie Pleasant stuck in quarantine

An MSU cornerback is in quarantine:

In a new development, it appears that Michigan State freshman cornerback Eddie Pleasant III has been put up into a hotel to quarantine. It is also not known what the exact illness he is quarantining for, but it is assumed that he has tested positive for the coronavirus.

The report comes from Pleasant’s Instagram story, where he posted a picture of the hotel he will be staying at, with the caption, “quarantine”.

It is unknown if any other players are affected.

Michigan State as a program has done a very good job promoting their team, players and coaches through social media, and now the social media team has found a new way for fans to get to know the team and new freshman.

The football team’s Twitter page filmed a video featuring a conversation between former LB and current staffer Darien Harris with freshman cornerback Eddie Pleasant, a member of the 2023 recruiting class.

Tampa CB Eddie Pleasant has inked his NLI to Michigan State

Eddie Pleasant was one of the first five commitments Michigan State gained in the 2023 recruiting cycle. Committing in April, Pleasant hasn’t wavered from his pledge to the Spartans despite a push from Florida State this fall.

Pleasant, a speedy cornerback, has officially inked his signature to join the Spartan football program. He ranks as a 3-star prospect and the No. 874 recruit in the country according to the 247Sports composite.

Pleasant played his high school football at Carrollwood Day in Tampa, Florida.

Michigan State has landed the sixth member of their 2023 recruiting class!

Michigan State has been making headlines all weekend as a result of hosting one of the hottest recruiting events of the Spring. Now, the Spartans are in the headlines once again, gaining a commitment from Florida native Eddie Pleasant. MSU’s efforts on the recruiting trail are starting to pay off.

Pleasant is a native of Tampa, Florida, attending Carrollwood Day High School. He is a cornerback that ranks as a 3-star prospect according to the 247Sports Composite Rankings.

The Spartans beat out the likes of Florida State, Georgia Tech, Penn State, Iowa, Tennessee and Utah for Pleasant’s commitment.
