There are a handful of underclassmen that Alabama fans be unaware of. Roll Tide Wire breaks down 10 underclassmen that Alabama fans should know before fall practice begins next week.

The Alabama football team will begin fall practice on Aug. 3. After an 11-2 finish to the 2023 season, the Crimson Tide are looking to improve that record in 2024.

Alabama signed the No. 1 recruiting class in the country in 2023. In 2022, the Crimson Tide finished with the No. 2 recruiting class in the country. Needless to say, Alabama has a number of talented underclassmen that can contribute in 2023.

Several true freshmen and sophomores are poised to have breakout seasons for the Crimson Tide. Roll Tide Wire breaks down 10 underclassmen that Alabama fans should be aware of as fall practice begins.

10 players with the most to prove in Alabama’s A-Day game

Roll Tide Wire breaks down which 10 Alabama football players have the most to prove in Alabama’s A-Day game on Saturday.

Alabama finished last season with an 11-2 record and a Sugar Bowl victory over Kansas State. This may sound like a successful season, but not for the Crimson Tide program.

The expectation for the Tide each season is that they reach the conference championship as well as the College Football Playoff. Anything less is a disappointment among the Alabama faithful.

With several key players from a season ago headed to the NFL, there will be some new faces at key positions.

Roll Tide Wire takes a look at 10 players that have the most to prove in Alabama’s A-Day game on Saturday.

Position Breakdown: Alabama’s DB’s ahead of spring practice

A deep dive into the Alabama defensive back room ahead of spring practice!

We are now less than a week away from [autotag]Nick Saban[/autotag] and the Alabama football team taking the practice field to begin spring ball.

As is the case each offseason, there are many questions that need to be answered before the Tide hit the field to start the 2023 season.

As spring practice creeps closer, we are going to break down each position group on both sides of the ball. We have already looked at the quarterbacks, running backs, defensive line, tight ends, outside linebackers, inside linebackers, and wide receivers.

Today we will wrap up the defensive side of the ball and take a dive into the Alabama defensive backs.

Let’s roll!

Five second-year players Alabama fans should watch this spring

There are several second-year players who could generate some buzz this spring!

As February ends, spring football approaches. In just a couple of weeks, [autotag]Nick Saban[/autotag] and the Alabama football team will return to the practice field and begin on-field work for the 2023 season.

Alabama will have to replace significant pieces from last year’s squad, most notably quarterback Bryce Young and outside linebacker Will Anderson.

Each spring, Tide fans get a glimpse of what the future holds for the Alabama football team, and I expect some second-year players to step up and generate some buzz heading into the 2023 season.

Today we are look at five second-year players I believe could make some noise this spring.

To clarify, this is a list of players who did not have much of an impact as true freshmen in 2022. So players such as Tyler Booker, Isaiah Bond and Kobe Prentice will not be a part of this group.

Let’s dive right in!

Trio of second-year players earns this week’s Student-Athletes of the Week

A trio of second-year players earns this week’s Student-Athletes of the Week!

A trio of second-year players has earned this week’s honor of Student-Athletes of the Week by the Alabama football program.

Linebacker Jeremiah Alexander, wide receiver Kendrick Law, and defensive back Earl Little Jr. take home the honor this week.

Alexander is a former five-star prospect from the state of Alabama who is expected to push for a backup as an outside linebacker for the Crimson Tide defense.

Law saw some action at receiver as a freshman in 2021 and really began to show out in the ladder part of the season and is expected to make an impact in 2023.

Little Jr. is a talented defensive back who could possibly play anywhere in the backend of the Alabama defense. He is a name Tide fans should be watching closely this spring.

Congratulations to all three of these young men for this achievement.

10 Alabama football players that should see more playing time in the weeks to come

Here are several of Alabama’s current players who should be seeing more playing time in the future.

Alabama has looked inconsistent at times this season. That goes for both the offensive and defensive sides of the ball. Certain position groups have shown strides of improvement while other spots have struggled down the stretch.

Everybody knows that talent isn’t a question. There has been an abundance of talent that has been recruited at each of the different position groups. That goes for both the offense and defense. As the season progresses, Alabama’s coaching staff will work to put players in the best position to be successful.

Through the first seven weeks, the team has had its share of highs and lows. Whatever the case may be, there is still plenty of time to fix the areas of concern and prevent these issues from re-occurring in the future.

There is always room for more playmakers and leaders. That is why Alabama’s depth could come into play throughout the course of the season. Today, Roll Tide Wire looks at 10 Crimson Tide players who should see more playing time in the near future.

Alabama Football injury report heading into Week 3 vs. Louisiana Monroe Warhawks

The latest injury report for Alabama Football heading into Week 3 matchup versus Louisiana Monroe.

Fortunately for the Crimson Tide, there were no additional injuries to report after their Week 2 matchup against the Texas Longhorns. Both Jase McClellan and Demarcco Hellams suffered minor injuries but would return to finish out the game. Nonetheless, several players remain on the latest injury report.

On the other hand, Alabama hasn’t suffered any significant injuries outside of JoJo Earle and Tyler Harrell. Earle suffered a fractured foot during fall camp. Harrell is steadily working his way back from a sprained foot. In today’s injury report, we will provide the latest on the two speedy wide receivers.

The Crimson Tide will have opportunities over the next two weeks in Louisiana Monroe (Week 3) and Vanderbilt (Week 4) to test out the depth chart. Coach Saban and his staff should be able to figure some things out before facing an intriguing Arkansas team on October 1.

Today, Roll Tide Wire will take a look at the latest injury report for Alabama following Week 2.

Several Alabama signees finish as 5-stars in recent On3 rankings update

Nick Saban is showing no signs of slowing down both on the field and on the recruiting trail

Traditional signing day is just a little over a week away and although Nick Saban and Alabama have pretty much wrapped up its class of 2022, player rankings continue to be updated.

On Monday, On3 Sports released its updated On300 rankings and several of Alabama’s signees finished with five-star status.

The Crimson Tide came in at No. 2 in the country in the consensus rankings just behind Texas A&M.

In total, Alabama saw five of its signees finish with a five-star rating. Of those, three were on offense and two were on defense. Here is every five-star signee the Crimson Tide has for the class of 2022.

To top things off, the updated rankings also show that in total, Alabama landed 15 of the top 100 players according to On3. Here are the remaining signees who finished inside of the top 100.

The class of 2022 is absolutely loaded for Saban and the Tide and it should be a lot of fun to watch these prospects develop over the next few seasons.
