5-star LSU WR commit Dakorien Moore sets his next visit to Baton Rouge

The Tigers continue to try to shore things up with the No. 1 receiver in America.

The No. 1 receiver in America will be returning to Baton Rouge next month.

[autotag]Dakorien Moore[/autotag] is a five-star receiver from Duncanville, Texas, who committed to the Tigers last summer and has held firm on that commitment. However, he recently revealed that he’s still considering three other schools: Ohio State, Oregon and Texas.

As top teams try to flip Moore, LSU will continue to shore things up with him. It hosted him for a visit earlier this month, and he’s now set another trip for the weekend of LSU’s spring game in April, according to LSU Country’s Zack Nagy.

Moore also reportedly visited the Buckeyes earlier this week and will take a trip to Austin with the Longhorns the weekend after he’s in Baton Rouge.

Moore is a key piece in a 2025 class that ranks first nationally for the Tigers, but they will have to withstand some pressure from other top programs as we get closer to his signing day.

Ohio State makes cut for yet another No. 1 wide receiver

Dakotan Moore will be in Columbus on March 18. #GoBucks

Stop me if you’ve heard this before, but Ohio State and Brian Hartline are looking to snag the No. 1 receiver in the 2025 class. Dakorien Moore committed to LSU last August, but that hasn’t stopped other schools from showing interest and it hasn’t stopped Moore from listening.

Buckeye fans know all too well that a verbal commitment doesn’t mean much until pen meets paper on National Signing Day. OSU has seen its fair share of verbal commits decide to sign elsewhere and now trying to do the same thing by flipping Moore. Rated the No. 1 receiver and the No. 3 overall player in the class by 247Sports, Moore is keeping his options open saying he has narrowed his focus to just four schools.

Despite his commitment to the Bayou Bengals, Moore says he’ll keep communication open with Ohio State, Texas, and Oregon.

The Buckeyes are already off to a strong start in the 2025 class with a top-five class to date that includes three five-star recruits. One of those five-star guys is Devin Sanchez who ranks as the No. 1 cornerback in the country and also hails from Texas. Sanchez is working hard to get Moore on board.

Ohio State will have an opportunity to impress Moore early next week as he is scheduled for an on-campus visit.

LSU commit Dakorien Moore wins MVP at Under Armour Camp

The 2025 recruiting class is currently ranked as the No. 2 class in the country by 247Sports.

LSU’s prized recruit in the 2025 recruiting class was recently awarded the [autotag]On3 MVP[/autotag] award for his performance at the [autotag]Under Armour Next+ All-American Dallas Camp[/autotag].

[autotag]Dakorien Moore[/autotag] is a 5-foot-1, 175-pound, five-star wide receiver who is ranked as the No. 1 wide receiver in the class by every recruiting site. Moore committed to LSU on August 12, 2023, and has been to Baton Rouge multiple times since. He and [autotag]Bryce Underwood[/autotag] have been helping to recruit even more star players in that class to come to LSU.

The 2025 recruiting class is currently ranked as the No. 2 class in the country by 247Sports. Moore and Underwood are the two five-stars in the class so far and right behind them is [autotag]Harlem Berry[/autotag] who is the No. 2 running back in the class.

[autotag]Brian Kelly[/autotag] will have to fight with three other schools if he wants to land Moore once it’s all said and done.

5-star LSU commit Dakorien Moore is still taking a hard look at Oregon

The Oregon Ducks are still in the mix for 5-star LSU commit Dakorien Moore, who released a top 4 schools on Monday.

One of the best overall players in the 2025 class has been committed to the LSU Tigers for quite a while, but he appears to be keeping his recruitment relatively open for the time being. By “relatively open,” I mean that he just announced a top 4 of schools that he is still in communication with, but is shutting down the rest of his recruitment.

5-star wide receiver Dakorien Moore announced on Monday that he is only talking with four schools — LSU, Oregon Texas, and Ohio State — going forward and cutting off communication with all others. This is a normal move for a top-ranked player in the nation, but it’s a bit abnormal in the sense that Moore has been verbally committed to the Tigers since August of last year.

Regardless of the normality, it’s clear that the Ducks still have a very good chance of landing Moore, who is rated by the 247Sports Composite as the No. 3 overall player in the nation, and the No. 1 WR in the 2025 class. Moore was on campus for a visit earlier this year, and we will likely see the recruiting efforts continue for Oregon.

Social media reactions pour in from blue-chip visitors in Eugene over the weekend

Some of the top-ranked recruits who were on campus in Eugene reacted to their visit with the Oregon Ducks at Junior Day.

Dan Lanning and the Oregon Ducks coaching staff stayed busy over the weekend, hosting some of the top-ranked players in the nation in both the 2025 and 2026 classes.

There were several five-star players on campus, from wide receiver Dakorien Moore and safety DJ Pickett to quarterback Jared Curtis and tight end Brock Harris. After the weekend came to an end, players started to give their reactions on social media, posting pictures with coaches and from the popular uniform photoshoot as well, raving about the time spent in Eugene.

Here’s a look at some of the top reactions from recruits who were on campus this past weekend:

5-star LSU receiver commit Dakorien Moore says 2025 class will ‘be better than any other LSU teams’

LSU’s 2025 class has the potential to be the best in program history.

The Tigers have the makings of what could be a truly special 2025 class.

They already hold commitments from nine prospects including top quarterback (and No. 1 overall prospect) [autotag]Bryce Underwood[/autotag], top running back [autotag]Harlem Berry[/autotag] and top receiver [autotag]Dakorien Moore[/autotag].

With a trio of elite five-star prospects in tow, the class currently ranks third nationally per 247Sports and first per On3.

There’s a long time between now and signing day, and as we’ve seen, it will be a battle to the finish line to keep these players on board. But if the Tigers can close out the class nicely, it would have the potential to be one of the best the program has ever landed.

Moore went as far as guaranteeing it. He said that the group, headlined by himself, Underwood and Berry, would accomplish things no other LSU team has before.

Given the fact that we’re only a few years removed from the 2019 LSU team that many consider to be the greatest of all time, that is certainly a tall order.

But it’s also the kind of confidence LSU should want to see from Moore, who committed back in August and hasn’t wavered, helping to pull Berry, who committed on Jan. 3, and Underwood, who committed on Jan. 6.

Tigers make the top 12 for five-star 2025 Mississippi receiver

Mississippi State is the prohibitive favorite for Caleb Cunningham.

LSU has already landed the top receiver in the 2025 recruiting class in [autotag]Dakorien Moore[/autotag], and now it’s looking to add another five-star to join him.

Five-star Choctaw County (Ackerman, Miss.) receiver [autotag]Caleb Cunningham[/autotag] recently trimmed his list of schools down to 12, and LSU made the cut. Joining the Tigers are AlabamaAuburnFlorida, Florida State, Georgia, Georgia Tech, Mississippi State, Oklahoma, Ole Miss, South Carolina and Tennessee.

Cunningham ranks as the No. 11 player nationally and No. 2 receiver, according to the On3 industry rankings. He told On3 that he is in no rush to trim his list further, saying he will likely take official visits in the summer and during the season while waiting to make a decision until closer to early signing day.

Mississippi State is the heavy favorite here with multiple high-confidence Crystal Ball projections. The Bulldogs also lead the way on the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine at 87.5%.

LSU off to hottest recruiting start in 2025 class, per On3

The Tigers currently have the nation’s top class in 2025.

While high school recruiting hasn’t exactly been the bread and butter of Brian Kelly’s program-building at LSU, he has the makings of a potentially game-changing class in 2025.

The Tigers currently have the No. 1 class nationally, headlined by the No. 1 quarterback and top overall player [autotag]Bryce Underwood[/autotag]. They also hold commitments from the top running back ([autotag]Harlem Berry[/autotag]) and receiver ([autotag]Dakorien Moore[/autotag]) in the class.

That’s not even mentioning other top commodities like blue-chip Baton Rouge linebacker [autotag]Keylan Moses[/autotag], who is also pledged to the Tigers.

On3’s Keegan Pope recently broke down the teams off to the hottest starts in the 2025 cycle, and he said LSU takes the cake.

Nobody — yes, nobody — is off to a hotter start this cycle than Brian Kelly and LSU, who already have three five-star commitments. That’s as many as every other school in the country combined. Texas-based wideout Dakorien Moore was the first to jump in with the Tigers back in August, and the momentum has only rolled from there. Earlier this month, Five-Star Plus+ QB Bryce Underwood, the nation’s No. 1 prospect, chose LSU over Michigan, Alabama and a handful of others.

Just a few days before that, in-state running back Harlem Berry, the No. 1 player at his position in the On300, also pledged to the Tigers. Add in four more blue-chip commitments, and LSU is making a strong early case for the country’s top class.

There’s a lot of time between now and early signing day in December, but this could prove to be a tenure-defining class for Kelly if he can keep it together.

LSU takes over No. 1 spot in On3’s 2025 recruiting rankings after Bryce Underwood commitment

The Tigers now hold commitments from the top quarterback, running back and receiver in the 2025 class.

LSU already had the makings of a very strong class. After landing top quarterback and No. 1 overall prospect [autotag]Bryce Underwood[/autotag] on Saturday, it now has the potential to be one of the Tigers’ best signing classes ever, if Brian Kelly can keep it together.

With the commitment of the Belleville, Michigan, prospect, LSU now has commitments from the top quarterback as well as No. 1 running back ([autotag]Harlem Berry[/autotag]) and No. 1 receiver ([autotag]Dakorien Moore[/autotag]) in the 2025 class.

As shouldn’t come as much of a surprise, that group is good enough to give the Tigers the No. 1 class in America, per the On3 industry team rankings.

LSU’s eight-man class also features four four-star commits, including linebacker [autotag]Keylan Moses[/autotag].

There’s a lot of time between now and early signing day for the 2025 class, and the Tigers will have their work cut out for them to keep this group together. But if they can, it’s a potential national championship-caliber class.

Top 2025 RB Harlem Berry commits to LSU during All-America Game

The Tigers landed another five-star in the 2025 class on Wednesday.

The No. 1 running back in the 2025 recruiting class just announced his commitment to play for the LSU Tigers after high school. The announcement was made during the Under Armour All-American Game on ESPN.

Berry chose the Tigers over Texas and the Florida Gators. Berry is a 5-foot-11, 175-pound, four-star running back from Metairie, Louisiana, where he plays for St. Martin’s Episcopal. Going into his commitment day, LSU was considered a 98% favorite to land him per On3, and the Tigers received multiple crystal ball projections to land him on 247Sports.

Berry still has a while until he finally signs his name on the dotted line as he will have to wait until next December to finally sign with LSU during the early signing period.

Berry joins a 2025 recruiting class for LSU that is currently ranked as the No. 7 class in the country by 247Sports. The class is currently headlined by five-star wide receiver [autotag]Dakorien Moore[/autotag].
