5-star LSU commit Dakorien Moore is still taking a hard look at Oregon

The Oregon Ducks are still in the mix for 5-star LSU commit Dakorien Moore, who released a top 4 schools on Monday.

One of the best overall players in the 2025 class has been committed to the LSU Tigers for quite a while, but he appears to be keeping his recruitment relatively open for the time being. By “relatively open,” I mean that he just announced a top 4 of schools that he is still in communication with, but is shutting down the rest of his recruitment.

5-star wide receiver Dakorien Moore announced on Monday that he is only talking with four schools — LSU, Oregon Texas, and Ohio State — going forward and cutting off communication with all others. This is a normal move for a top-ranked player in the nation, but it’s a bit abnormal in the sense that Moore has been verbally committed to the Tigers since August of last year.

Regardless of the normality, it’s clear that the Ducks still have a very good chance of landing Moore, who is rated by the 247Sports Composite as the No. 3 overall player in the nation, and the No. 1 WR in the 2025 class. Moore was on campus for a visit earlier this year, and we will likely see the recruiting efforts continue for Oregon.
