NEW: LSU lands commitment from 2025 4-star linebacker Charles Ross

The Tigers have just landed another commitment for the 2025 recruiting class.

LSU hosted many talented recruiting prospects this weekend and that hard work has paid off. [autotag]Brian Kelly[/autotag] and the Tigers have just landed another commitment for the 2025 recruiting class.

[autotag]Charles Ross[/autotag] is a 6-foot-2, 200-pound, four-star linebacker from Houston where he plays for North Shore High School. The North Shore Mustangs finished the 2023 season 15-1 with a loss to Duncanville in the 6A D1 state championship game.

The Tigers already have one linebacker committed in the class in four-star [autotag]Keylan Moses[/autotag] from Baton Rouge. The 2025 recruiting class has an opportunity to be one of the greatest recruiting classes in LSU history. The Tigers have already received commitments from the No. 1 quarterback, wide receiver in the class, and the No. 2 running back.

The class has 10 commitments so far, but a lot of time remains before these kids sign up with their school of choice. I believe Kelly can make this class even better.

LSU off to hottest recruiting start in 2025 class, per On3

The Tigers currently have the nation’s top class in 2025.

While high school recruiting hasn’t exactly been the bread and butter of Brian Kelly’s program-building at LSU, he has the makings of a potentially game-changing class in 2025.

The Tigers currently have the No. 1 class nationally, headlined by the No. 1 quarterback and top overall player [autotag]Bryce Underwood[/autotag]. They also hold commitments from the top running back ([autotag]Harlem Berry[/autotag]) and receiver ([autotag]Dakorien Moore[/autotag]) in the class.

That’s not even mentioning other top commodities like blue-chip Baton Rouge linebacker [autotag]Keylan Moses[/autotag], who is also pledged to the Tigers.

On3’s Keegan Pope recently broke down the teams off to the hottest starts in the 2025 cycle, and he said LSU takes the cake.

Nobody ā€” yes, nobody ā€” is off to a hotter start this cycle than Brian Kelly and LSU, who already have three five-star commitments. Thatā€™s as many as every other school in the country combined. Texas-based wideoutĀ Dakorien MooreĀ was the first to jump in with the Tigers back in August, and the momentum has only rolled from there. Earlier this month,Ā Five-Star Plus+Ā QBĀ Bryce Underwood, the nationā€™s No. 1 prospect, chose LSU over Michigan, Alabama and a handful of others.

Just a few days before that, in-state running backĀ Harlem Berry, the No. 1 player at his position in the On300, also pledged to the Tigers. Add in four more blue-chip commitments, and LSU is making a strong early case for the countryā€™s top class.

There’s a lot of time between now and early signing day in December, but this could prove to be a tenure-defining class for Kelly if he can keep it together.

LSU takes over No. 1 spot in On3’s 2025 recruiting rankings after Bryce Underwood commitment

The Tigers now hold commitments from the top quarterback, running back and receiver in the 2025 class.

LSU already had the makings of a very strong class. After landing top quarterback and No. 1 overall prospect [autotag]Bryce Underwood[/autotag] on Saturday, it now has the potential to be one of the Tigers’ best signing classes ever, if Brian Kelly can keep it together.

With the commitment of the Belleville, Michigan, prospect, LSU now has commitments from the top quarterback as well as No. 1 running back ([autotag]Harlem Berry[/autotag]) and No. 1 receiver ([autotag]Dakorien Moore[/autotag]) in the 2025 class.

As shouldn’t come as much of a surprise, that group is good enough to give the Tigers the No. 1 class in America, per the On3 industry team rankings.

LSU’s eight-man class also features four four-star commits, including linebacker [autotag]Keylan Moses[/autotag].

There’s a lot of time between now and early signing day for the 2025 class, and the Tigers will have their work cut out for them to keep this group together. But if they can, it’s a potential national championship-caliber class.

LSU makes top 10 for 4-star 2025 EDGE

Oklahoma is a 97% favorite to land Max Granville, per On3.

The recruiting trail never sleeps. After signing 27-out-of-27 targets on their 2024 recruiting board, the Tigers mostly turn the page toward the 2025 recruiting class.

One of the top edge rushers in the country, [autotag]Max Granville[/autotag], recently released his top 10, and the LSU Tigers made the cut.

LSU joins Alabama, Penn State, SMU, Ohio State, USC, Baylor, Kansas, Texas A&MĀ and Oklahoma as the final ten schools in the running for Granville, a 6-foot-3, 215-pound, four-star edge rusher from Sugar Land, Texas, where he plays for Fort Bend Christian Academy.

LSU currently has six commitments for the 2025 class and their class is ranked as the No. 7 overall class in the country by 247Sports. The 2025 class is headlined by five-star wide receiver [autotag]Dakorien Moore[/autotag] and four-star linebacker [autotag]Keylan Moses[/autotag]. Out of the six current commits in the class, none of them are defensive linemen or EDGE rushers.

Oklahoma is a 97% favorite to land him per On3.

Where does LSU rank in the way-too-early 2025 recruiting class?

Has LSU’s success on the field and the recruiting trail carried over into the 2025 class?

The LSU Tigers just wrapped up the early signing period for the 2024 recruiting class. The Tigers are currently ranked as the No. 11 class by 247Sports and the No. 9 class according to On3. We won’t know who will be signing this year until February when the final national signing day rolls around.

With all of that being said, where do the Tigers rank currently in the 2025 recruiting class? Has LSU’s success on the field and the recruiting trail carried over into the 2025 class? For now, I would say that it has. LSU currently has the No. 7 recruiting class for 2025 according to 247Sports.

The 2025 class currently has six commitments, headlined by five-star wide receiver [autotag]Dakorien Moore[/autotag] from Texas and four-star linebacker [autotag]Keylan Moses[/autotag] out of University Lab High School in Baton Rouge. As soon as the last recruit from the 2024 class signs, all attention will be placed on the 2025 class as they head into their senior seasons.

LSU lands four-star 2025 LB Keylan Moses

The Tigers now have a top-five class in 2025.

What could be a special 2025 class for LSU added another blue-chip prospect on Thursday night.

Four-star linebacker [autotag]Keylan Moses[/autotag], a Baton Rouge native who attends University Lab High School on LSU’s campus, committed to the Tigers over a list of high-profile offers that included Texas, Florida, Oregon and Tennessee.

The younger brother of former Alabama linebacker Dylan Moses, Keylan Moses ranks as the No. 176 player in the 2025 class, per On3’s industry rankings. His commitment to LSU doesn’t come as much of a surprise as the Tigers were the heavy favorite to land him.

ā€œPeople tell me that Iā€™m meant to be there,ā€ Moses toldĀ On3. ā€œWhen you look at my game, itā€™s how I play. People say Iā€™m an LSU Tiger. They think Iā€™m an LSU Tiger and thereā€™s nothing more to itā€¦ Itā€™s the swagger, the confidence, everything is LSU, LSU, LSU. Iā€™m so, so, so good with the guys over there on the team. Iā€™m cool with them and Iā€™m basically one of them because I go to school on campus. Itā€™s unfair for everyone elseā€¦ Itā€™s meant to be in a lot of ways. I sit back and look, and itā€™s the place for me.

ā€œI real-deal love Louisiana. I love LSU and I love everybody there. Frank (Wilson)Ā is a big part of it. Growing up around them when he was around Les Miles, he was aĀ bigĀ part of Dylanā€™s recruitment. Heā€™s basically family now. I literally call him Uncle Frank ā€” thatā€™s how close we are.ā€

With Moses’ addition, LSU’s six-man 2025 recruiting class ranks fourth nationally per On3. That group is headlined by five-star Texas receiver [autotag]Dakorien Moore[/autotag].
