Three key Spartans are back from injury, working with the team on day one of camp:

Michigan State football has opened Fall camp, preparing for the start of the 2024 football season, the first in the Jonathan Smith era. An encouraging sign for the Spartans, three former 4-stars and players at key positions are back in action, after suffering season ending injuries a year ago.

Offensive linemen Stanton Ramil and Cole Dellinger, along with defensive tackle Alex VanSumeren are all back and preparing for potential roles in 2024.

Michigan State football has its first official signing in the 2023 class

Michigan State football has its first official signing in the 2023 class.

Four-star interior offensive lineman Cole Dellinger was the first future Spartan to sign his national letter of intent with Michigan State on Wednesday morning. Wednesday was the beginning of the early signing period and known as the new National Signing Day in the recruiting industry.

Dellinger hails from Clarkston, Mich. and ranks as the No. 7 player from the mitten state in 247Sports’ composite rankings for the 2023 class. He is also listed as the No. 27 interior offensive lineman and No. 407 overall prospect in the class.

Dellinger has been committed to Michigan State since July, and choose the Spartans over offers from LSU, Purdue, Arizona State, Kansas, Michigan, Ole Miss, Missouri and Pitt.

The Spartans added their second 2023 four-star commit of the week on Friday when Cole Dellinger of Clarkston, Mich. announced he’d heading to Michigan State.

Dellinger picked Michigan State over Purdue and LSU. He is ranked as the No. 16 interior offensive lineman and No. 5 player from Michigan in 247Sports’ composite rankings for the 2023 class.

Michigan State football lands 4-star in-state OL Cole Dellinger

Breaking: MSU has landed one of the top in-state player’s in the 2023 recruiting class, gaining a commitment from Clarkston’s 4-star OL Cole Dellinger

Michigan State has ended the week with a bang, landing top in-state offensive lineman Cole Dellinger over LSU and Purdue. Dellinger is the second 4-star to pledge to the Spartans in as many days.

Dellinger is a native of Clarkston, Michigan, where he stars on the offensive line for the in-state powerhouse. According to the 247Sports composite rankings, he ranks as the No. 330 overall player in the 2023 recruiting class and the No. 5 player in the state of Michigan, along with having 4-star status.

Standing at 6-foot-4 and 280 pounds, Dellinger projects to play on the interior of the offensive line at either the guard or center spot.

Dellinger is the twelfth commit in Michigan State’s 2023 recruiting class, joining Brennan Parachek, Kedrick Reescano, Andrew Depaepae, Johnathan Slack, Bo Edmunson, Eddie Pleasant, Chance Rucker, Demitrius Bell, Jordan Hall, Clay Wedin and Bai Jobe.

According to reports, top in-state 4-star OL Cole Dellinger is set to make his commitment decision this week:

Another target on Michigan State’s recruiting board is set to make a decision very soon. According to a report from Justin Thind of 247Sports, Cole Dellinger will be making his collegiate commitment this Friday, July 8th. The Clarkston, Michigan, native will decide between his top three schools: Michigan State, LSU and Purdue.

Dellinger is one of the top prospects in the state of Michigan for the 2023 recruiting class. He is a 4-star prospect, ranking as the No. 5 player in the state, as well as the No. 330 player nationally.

2023 4-star OL Cole Dellinger to visit MSU later this month

One of the top 2023 prospects from the state of Michigan is reportedly planning on visiting East Lansing later this month.

One of the top 2023 prospects from the state of Michigan is reportedly planning on visiting East Lansing later this month.

Justin Thind of 247Sports is reporting that four-star offensive lineman Cole Dellinger plans on taking an unofficial visit to Michigan State on July 31. Dellinger will be in town for an event labeled as “Spartan Dawg Con” according to Thind.

Dellinger is ranked as the No. 272 overall prospect and No. 5 recruit in Michigan for the 2023 class.

Dellinger currently holds scholarship offers from Michigan State, Michigan, Arizona State, LSU and Ole Miss.
