Jadeveon Clowney, Demetric Felton lead six inactives vs. Saints

The Browns have announced their six inactives today

As the Cleveland Browns and New Orleans Saints get set for their Christmas Eve showdown, the home team has announced their six inactives in this one. Defensive end Jadeveon Clowney is not a surprise inactive as he was ruled out with a concussion this week, but both wide receivers Jaelon Darden and Demetric Felton being shelved is a bit odd.

For the Saints, they will be without a handful of starters as wide receivers Chris Olave and Jarvis Landry, cornerback Marshon Lattimore, linebacker Pete Werner, and defensive end Payton Turner will all miss this matchup against the Browns.

David Bell out, Jaelon Darden and 5 others listed as inactive vs. Ravens

The Browns have listed wide receivers David Bell and Jaelon Darden among their inactives today against the Ravens.

That has now become a reality as he has been listed as inactive, along with fellow wide receiver Jaelon Darden. All-in-all, the Browns again list seven players who will not dress against the Ravens as they look to play spoilers now that their playoff hopes are all but gone.

While he was listed as questionable coming into this AFC North matchup, ESPN’s Adam Schefter said he would give it a go today. Cooper then went out to test the hip pregame, deciding he was good enough to play today against the Bengals.

This means Harrison Bryant must step up, and rookie defensive tackle Perrion Winfrey will look to build off of a solid outing last week where he played 24 snaps against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Who are the other inactives who will not suit up for the Browns today? We take a look at them here.

Joining Winfrey on the inactive list are starters tight end David Njoku and linebacker Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah, who were ruled out earlier this week. Quarterback Kellen Mond, hybrid player Demetric Felton, cornerback Thomas Graham Jr., and offensive guard Michael Dunn round out the list of inactives as well.

Browns announce Demetric Felton, 7 other inactives vs. Chargers

The Browns have announced eight inactives, including Demetric Felton, against the Los Angeles Chargers

As the Cleveland Browns and Los Angeles Chargers get set for battle, the list of inactives has dropped. As the Browns announce eight inactives, running back/wide receiver Demetric Felton is among them. After elevating Chester Rogers from the practice squad again this week to return kicks, Felton’s role has been reduced to ashes.

Rogers can be elevated one more time from the practice squad before the Browns have to sign him to the active roster to have him dress on Sundays. One has to wonder if Felton’s roster spot could be on shaky ground in a week or two.

The other inactives listed for today’s game are quarterback Kellen Mond, wide receiver Michael Woods II, safety Richard LeCounte, offensive linemen Joe Haeg and Chris Hubbard, and tight end Miller Forristall.
