The 10 best Super Bowl 57 prop bets with a simple ‘yes’ or ‘no’ answer

A simple “yes” or “no” can win big.

OK. So we’ve gone over countless player props for Super Bowl 57 — quarterback, running back and receivers — we gave you five fun props for the big game and even a few cross-sports prop bets.

Oh, yeah, can’t forget about our traditional bets for Chiefs-Eagles.

So, why stop there? Let’s dive a little deeper into our degenerate bag before kickoff and take a look at some prop bets that can be won with a simple “yes” or “no” answer.

I sorted through a few online sportsbooks to find the 10 I feel best about, and you can find odds and picks for each of those listed below.

With no resume date for Bills-Bengals, sportsbooks are voiding wagers and refunding bettors

Several sportsbooks announced they are refunding unsettled Bills-Bengals bets.

In light of news that Monday night’s game between the Buffalo Bills and Cincinnati Bengals won’t be resumed this week, several sportsbooks are voiding out unsettled wagers and returning money to bettors.

The game was postponed in the first quarter after Bills safety Damar Hamlin collapsed from cardiac arrest and needed to have his heartbeat restored on the field. The latest update from the team on Tuesday was that Hamlin remains in critical condition at University of Cincinnati Medical Center.

With no word on if or when the game will be finished, Bally Bet, BetMGM, Caesars, FanDuel and Hard Rock were among the sportsbooks to announce the cancelation of bets.

BetMGM and FanDuel said multi-leg parlays that include voided bets will remain active with only the voided leg removed and the price adjusted.

In addition to unsettled markets, Hard Rock announced it’s also voiding out losing markets from Bills-Bengals.

More

Thoughts and prayers remain with Hamlin and his loved ones.

Sportsbooks suffered their first losing Sunday of the 2022 NFL season in Week 4

Bettors fought back in Week 4.

For once, NFL bettors had their day against sportsbooks in Week 4. Sunday was the first losing Sunday of the 2022 NFL season for several sportsbooks.

SuperBook at Westgate, Caesars and WynnBet all reported losses, according to ESPN’s David Purdum, and that’s even with many books beating the public on the New England Patriots cover against the Green Bay Packers.

At Tipico Sportsbook, 81% of bets on the Patriots-Packers spread were on Green Bay and 86% of the money. That single win apparently wasn’t enough to offset the collective losses though.

“It’s definitely a change from the first three weeks, when the results were pretty solid,” Adam Pullen, assistant director of trading for Caesars Sportsbook told ESPN.

Among the matchups the public nailed are Dallas’ win and cover over Washington, Arizona’s win and cover over Carolina and Las Vegas’ win and cover over Denver. Purdum also credited several player props for contributing to a poor showing for the books.

Mannings featured in new responsible gambling commercial

Peyton Manning: “If you’re ever struggling to limit your gambling, please seek help and support by dialing or texting [1-800-GAMBLER].”

Peyton Manning has returned with another Caesars commercial alongside his dad, Archie, and brother, Eli. The latest ad aims to encourage responsible gambling.

“If you’re ever struggling to limit your gambling, please seek help and support by dialing or texting the number below [1-800-GAMBLER],” Peyton says in the ad.

Caesars has made features such as deposit limits, spending limits and time limits available to users in an effort to promote responsible gambling.

Last year, Caesars became the first sportsbook to air a responsible gambling commercial during NFL games. This year’s new ad from the Mannings will again air during the season, including on ESPN and NFL Network.

Since the Supreme Court ruled in favor of sports betting in 2018, Americans have bet more than $65 billion on sports (as of 2021). Experts have warned that the rapid rise in the legality and popularity of betting on sports could cause “a severe rise in gambling addiction.”

The phone number the Mannings provided is to The Problem Gambling Helpline Network.

FSU band planning tributes for Saints, Jameis Winston in Superdome game vs. LSU

The Florida State band has planned tributes for the Saints and Jameis Winston in their game with the LSU Tigers at the Superdome:

This is really cool. The Florida State Marching Chiefs are making the trip to New Orleans for the LSU Tigers’ 2022 season opener at the Caesars Superdome, and the school band plans to support Seminoles players both past and present. They shared plans from their official Twitter account illustrating formations that shout out Jameis Winston, FSU’s 2013 Heisman Trophy winner, and the New Orleans Saints — his current pro team and the hosts of their game with LSU.

It’s a really cool gesture. The band plans to spell out “Jameis” in block letters and to form New Orleans’ iconic fleur-de-lis logo while playing a sampling of “When the Saints Go Marching In,” along with some other features from their usual playlist. It’ll certainly add to the electric atmosphere when the Tigers hit the field under new head coach Brian Kelly for the first time on Sunday. Kickoff is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. CT on ABC. Winston is busy preparing for the Saints’ own regular season opener (on the road against the Atlanta Falcons next week), but he’s sure to appreciate the gesture.

Peyton Manning stars in another Caesars commercial

Peyton Manning guesses “Omaha” and then scolds Eli for guessing “helmet catch” multiple times 😅

Peyton Manning might be retired from football, but he’s certainly not retired in general.

Manning’s various jobs include running his Omaha Productions company (which has produced multiple ESPN+ shows and TV game shows), and he’s also still acting in commercials, including three Super Bowl ads earlier this year.

Manning’s biggest commercial campaign last football season was with Caesars Sportsbook. Manning and his father, Archie, and his two brothers, Cooper and Eli, appeared in several ads for the betting app last year.

The Manning family will be back on TV again this season with new shorts for the sportsbook. The first commercial will debut when the Atlanta Falcons take on the New York Jets on Monday Night Football in Week 2 of preseason.

The latest ad shows the Mannings playing charades with “Caesar” (JB Smoove). Peyton guesses “Omaha” and then later scolds Eli for guessing “helmet catch” multiple times. Cooper then guesses correctly with a ridiculously long and specific answer that leaves his brothers dumbfounded.

Check it out:

It seems safe to assume more Caesars commercials are on the way from the Mannings this season.

Caesars Superdome roof catches fire amid pressure washing

Caesars Superdome roof catches fire amid pressure washing:

This is bad. The New Orleans Fire Department responded to a two-alarm fire at the Caesars Superdome on Tuesday after the stadium’s roof caught fire. Work crews were already on the roof with pressure washers, preparing it to be repainted before the next New Orleans Saints home game on Oct. 3. No cause was immediately available nor were any injuries reported. Hopefully everyone working on the roof remained safe.

Photos and video were shared widely on social media before the fire was quickly put out once emergency responders arrived:

Saints announce Caesar’s Superdome partnership, share new renderings

New Orleans Saints announce Caesar’s Superdome partnership, share new renderings of upgrades and renovations:

[mm-video type=playlist id=01eqbyahgz6p2j3xp7 player_id=none image=https://saintswire.usatoday.com/wp-content/plugins/mm-video/images/playlist-icon.png]

There it is: after receiving state legislature approval last week, the New Orleans Saints have announced their new 20-year naming-rights contract with Caesar’s Entertainment to rename their home venue as the Caesar’s Superdome. The Times-Picayune | Advocate’s Amie Just reports the contract with the Nevada-based casino operator is valued at $138 million, which the team has pledged will be put towards improvements and renovations.

It’s a big change for the Superdome, which was previously named the Mercedes-Benz Superdome, dating back to 2011. But the German automaker’s sponsorship of Atlanta United FC’s Mercedes-Benz Stadium, which the soccer club also shares with the NFL’s Atlanta Falcons, created an awkward conflict. So now both the dirty birds and the black and gold have unique titling for their arenas.

And it couldn’t come at a better time. Caesar’s Superdome is in the middle of ongoing renovations to add field-level end zone seating and behind-the-scenes improvements, with New Orleans’ next Super Bowl on the horizon in 2025. That presents a great opportunity for the new sponsor and upgraded facilities to settle in before going under the spotlight.

‘The Caesars Superdome’ naming-rights sponsorship approved

The New Orleans Saints will officially host NFL games at “The Caesars Superdome” for years to come:

[mm-video type=playlist id=01eqbyahgz6p2j3xp7 player_id=none image=https://saintswire.usatoday.com/wp-content/plugins/mm-video/images/playlist-icon.png]

There it is: the New Orelans Saints’ home venue will now be named “The Caesars Superdome” for the next 20 years, replacing the “Mercedes-Benz Superdome” title it has held since 2011. Reports from Thursday’s meeting with the Louisiana state legislature’s Joint Budget Committee state that while the Saints will receive 100% of profits from the deal, the team has pledged to put them towards Superdome renovations and upgrades.

The Mercedes-Benz signage was removed last week when the German automaker’s deal expired, opening the door for a new naming-rights sponsor to step in. And as the Athletic’s Jeff Duncan reported earlier this year, Caesar’s Entertainment, Inc. was the frontrunner to take over.

That’s now official. This is the first stadium sponsorship agreement between an NFL team and a casino partner (when Hard Rock sponsored the Miami Dolphins’ stadium a few years back, it had to be specified that they were doing so in their capacity as hotel resorts, not gambling outfits), so it’s something of a landmark. That’s appropriate with New Orleans’ next Super Bowl scheduled to be hosted in 2025.

The process isn’t finished, though. Lawmakers had some reservations about the proposed renderings of what the Caesars Superdome will look like, with state senator Katrina Jackson correctly pointing out that the two-font look needs some work. Here’s hoping the Superdome graphics team can come up with something cleaner.

Report: Caesars Entertainment closing in on naming-rights deal with Superdome

The Athletic’s Jeff Duncan reports that Caesars Entertainment is closing in on an exclusive naming-rights deal with the Saints’ Superdome.

[mm-video type=playlist id=01eqbyahgz6p2j3xp7 player_id=none image=https://saintswire.usatoday.com/wp-content/plugins/mm-video/images/playlist-icon.png]

The Athletic’s Jeff Duncan reports that a new Superdome naming rights sponsorship is close to completion between the New Orleans Saints and Caesars Entertainment, Inc., which would be valued at $200 million over the next twenty years. Nothing has been signed yet, but the move would make the Superdome the first NFL venue to be sponsored by a sports gambling outfit. Caesars also owns Harrah’s New Orleans location, which in 2018 became the official casino partner of the Saints and Pelicans.

Mercedes-Benz inked a ten-year contract for the Superdome rights back in 2011 that was said to be worth $50 to $60 million at the time, but that agreement is set to expire in July after the German automobile manufacturer purchased a 27-year sponsorship of the new Atlanta Falcons stadium at $12 million per year. That agreement included prominent signage throughout the Superdome and the company’s logo emblazoned on the exterior roof.

It’s unclear how Caesars would be represented once pens are put to paper, but this would be a lucrative addition to the franchise. And with so many expensive ongoing renovations at work ahead of the 2021 season and New Orleans’ next Super Bowl scheduled for 2025 (when Drew Brees could be on the call with NBC’s broadcast of the championship game), adding more resources to get the Superdome ready for prime time is a good move.
