A running list of all the U.S. professional sports stadiums with sportsbooks

The Cleveland Cavaliers are the latest team to get a sportsbook in their arena.

As more states continue to legalize sports betting, professional teams across every league continue to find ways to capitalize on the opportunity for new revenue created by the industry.

One way they’re doing that is by opening sportsbooks on or near the grounds of their home stadiums, hoping to make customers of the fans who wager on sports and potentially convert a few who don’t.

In May 2021, the opening of the William Hill Sportsbook at Capital One Arena in Washington D.C. took another step in that direction as the first sportsbook to operate inside of an arena in the U.S. But while it was the first, it’s not the last. And there will be more to come.

Here’s a look at stadiums in the United States with a sportsbook or sportsbook lounge in or near them.

This list will be updated.

Audi Field (D.C. United)

FanDuel and D.C. United opened a sportsbook at Audi Field on July 8, 2022.

Citi Field (New York Mets)

The Mets and Caesars Entertainment announced a plan to open the Caesars Sportsbook at Metro Grille during the 2022 season.

Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse (Cleveland Cavaliers)

The Caesars Sportsbook at Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse opened in January 2023, just after sports betting became legal in Ohio.

United Center (Chicago Bulls & Blackhawks)

The announced FanDuel Sportsbook lounge at the United Center officially opened in October 2022.

State Farm Stadium (Arizona Cardinals)

The BetMGM Sportsbook at State Farm Stadium opened in September 2022 and became the first stadium with a sportsbook to host a Super Bowl later that season.

Nationals Park (Washington Nationals)

The BetMGM Sportsbook at Nationals Park opened in January 2022, becoming the first retail sportsbook connected to a Major League Baseball stadium.

BetFTW previously took a trip there to get a sense of the day-to-day operation.

Footprint Center (Phoenix Suns & Mercury)

In September 2021, the FanDuel Sportsbook lounge inside Footprint Center opened.

Chase Field (Arizona Diamondbacks)

A Caesars Sportsbook opened at the former Game 7 Grill space outside Chase Field in June 2022.

Wrigley Field (Chicago Cubs)

DraftKings announced a Sportsbook at Wrigley Field coming in 2023.

Caesars Sportsbook at Capital One Arena (Washington Wizards & Capitals)

William Hill, now a part of Caesars Entertainment, opened its sportsbook at Capital One Arena in May 2021, becoming the first sportsbook in a U.S. professional sports facility.

5 of the most fun Super Bowl 57 prop bets for Chiefs-Eagles

Let’s get into some of these Super Bowl props.

Let’s be honest, the amount of prop bets out there for the Super Bowl can get overwhelming.

From your traditional player props to the crazy novelty props and everything in between, deciding to where to throw the money you budgeted for the big game can be tough.

Luckily for you, I sorted through all the chaos to find five fun prop bets for Super Bowl LVII that can make the game that much more interesting.

I’m not saying all of these have the greatest odds of actually happening, but they’ll definitely keep you locked in until the very end of Chiefs-Eagles.

1 sportsbook is offering a juicy Super Bowl bet between Travis and Jason Kelce

Now this is an interesting bet.

Did you know there’s a pair of brothers playing against each other in the Super Bowl this year? Right, of course you do.

There’s plenty talk of how Travis and Jason Kelce will become the first brothers to play against each other in the big game when the Philadelphia Eagles and Kansas City Chiefs meet, and how tough it must be for their mom to decide who to root for.

What you probably didn’t know, though, is you can actually place some betting action on the brothers. That may sound off, considering Jason Kelce is a center and offensive lineman don’t typically get betting props. But Caesars Sportsbook made it possible for this special occasion.

The bet is whether Travis will have at least seven more yards than Jason has snaps. With Travis’ receiving yards prop is set at 78.5 at Caesars, that should be considered a ballpark number to use for reference.

Jason had 67 and 68 snaps, respectively, in the Eagles’ first two playoff games, which were each blowouts. That aligns with his season average of about 67, though his season-high is 82 snaps. Travis averaged 78 yards in the regular season, and that’s up to 88 in the playoffs.

Even if Jason gets a bump to around 75 snaps, Travis would only need 82 yards for the -6.5 spread to hit. Knowing how banged up the Chiefs’ receiving corps is and expecting a big game from Travis, I’m inclined to follow the early action and roll with Travis -6.5.

Caesars streamed Colts-Cowboys, becoming the first American sportsbook app to stream an NFL game

Colts at Cowboys made a little sports betting history Sunday night.

Caesars Sportsbook made history Sunday night when it streamed the game between the Dallas Cowboys and Indianapolis Colts, becoming the first American sportsbook app to provide customers with a live “Watch & Bet” video stream.

The stream was made possible thanks to a new deal between the NFL and Genius Sports Limited, the exclusive distributor of NFL data and live streams to sportsbooks. In a release Monday, Genius said the deal will include select regular season and postseason games each week.

“The addition of live Watch & Bet video streaming brings the best that the NFL has to offer right into the Caesars Sportsbook app,” president of Caesars Digital Eric Hession said. “Delivering innovative technology like this remains a key emphasis for us, so being the first U.S. sportsbook to provide customers with in-app NFL live streaming isn’t something we take lightly.”

Even before streams were available in sportsbook apps, in-game betting was a temptation that existed for bettors looking for quick resolutions. Watch & Bet removes a bit of the buffer that exists between the television and phone, potentially increasing the frequency of live betting.

It also potentially opens the door for more apps to follow.

Bettor makes massive near-million dollar wager on USC to beat Utah in the Pac-12 title game

There’s believing, and then there’s BELIEVING.

If you’re confident in No. 6 USC’s ability to beat No. 14 Utah in the Pac-12 conference championship game on Friday, you’re probably not as confident as at least one other person.

That person is a Caesars Sportsbook bettor who put a wager of more than $900,000 on the USC moneyline at -130 odds, according to Caesars writer Max Meyer.

The exact amount is incredibly specific, but the potential earnings are nonetheless massive at more than $690,000. Even larger is the potential loss if Utah is somehow able to pull off the upset — a result that would all but put an end to USC’s College Football Playoff dreams.

The Trojans are just a three-point home favorite at BetMGM. But an upset doesn’t seem like a possibility in the eyes of this bettor.

According to Meyer, it’s the largest bet of the NFL or college football seasons at Caesars.

Even with a win, USC would still likely need help to climb into the top-four of the CFP rankings. But a win is a must to keep hope alive.

Mannings featured in new responsible gambling commercial

Peyton Manning: “If you’re ever struggling to limit your gambling, please seek help and support by dialing or texting [1-800-GAMBLER].”

Peyton Manning has returned with another Caesars commercial alongside his dad, Archie, and brother, Eli. The latest ad aims to encourage responsible gambling.

“If you’re ever struggling to limit your gambling, please seek help and support by dialing or texting the number below [1-800-GAMBLER],” Peyton says in the ad.

Caesars has made features such as deposit limits, spending limits and time limits available to users in an effort to promote responsible gambling.

Last year, Caesars became the first sportsbook to air a responsible gambling commercial during NFL games. This year’s new ad from the Mannings will again air during the season, including on ESPN and NFL Network.

Since the Supreme Court ruled in favor of sports betting in 2018, Americans have bet more than $65 billion on sports (as of 2021). Experts have warned that the rapid rise in the legality and popularity of betting on sports could cause “a severe rise in gambling addiction.”

The phone number the Mannings provided is to The Problem Gambling Helpline Network.

Peyton Manning stars in another Caesars commercial

Peyton Manning guesses “Omaha” and then scolds Eli for guessing “helmet catch” multiple times 😅

Peyton Manning might be retired from football, but he’s certainly not retired in general.

Manning’s various jobs include running his Omaha Productions company (which has produced multiple ESPN+ shows and TV game shows), and he’s also still acting in commercials, including three Super Bowl ads earlier this year.

Manning’s biggest commercial campaign last football season was with Caesars Sportsbook. Manning and his father, Archie, and his two brothers, Cooper and Eli, appeared in several ads for the betting app last year.

The Manning family will be back on TV again this season with new shorts for the sportsbook. The first commercial will debut when the Atlanta Falcons take on the New York Jets on Monday Night Football in Week 2 of preseason.

The latest ad shows the Mannings playing charades with “Caesar” (JB Smoove). Peyton guesses “Omaha” and then later scolds Eli for guessing “helmet catch” multiple times. Cooper then guesses correctly with a ridiculously long and specific answer that leaves his brothers dumbfounded.

Check it out:

It seems safe to assume more Caesars commercials are on the way from the Mannings this season.

Flood water crashed through Circa Sportsbook as monsoonal storms rocked Vegas

Several Vegas sportsbooks and casinos saw flooding as a result of storms.

A wave of monsoonal storms has caused major flooding across the Las Vegas Valley, including casinos and sportsbooks along the Vegas strip.

The first rainfall began Wednesday and caused outages. Then, more rain dumped on the valley Thursday. Some areas received more than an inch in just a two-hour period, according to the Las Vegas Review-Journal. The Las Vegas Strip reported wind gusts of 71 miles per hour. The flooding was so bad downtown that it crashed through a television in Circa Sportsbook.

Flooding also impacted other casinos like Caesars, according to unconfirmed videos on social media, and a parking garage along the strip.

Meteorologist Barry Pierce told the Review-Journal that storms could repeat Friday.

Orioles’ pre-All-Star surge made them one of the biggest sportsbook liabilities in baseball

The O’s had the longest World Series odds at the start of June. Not anymore.

The more teams keep losing to the Baltimore Orioles, the more likely it is sportsbooks end up as massive losers too.

Once thought to be among the worst teams in baseball, Baltimore has surged up the standings in recent weeks. And they caught the attention of bettors on the way—becoming the most profitable team to wager on.

At the start of June, the Orioles had 500-1 odds to win the World Series at Tipico Sportsbook, tied for the longest in all of baseball. On Wednesday, those odds were down to 200-1 — still long, but now tied with two teams ahead of 10 others. That movement coincides with a push from nine games under .500 on July 2 to a 46-46 record entering the All-Star break, including a 10-game winning streak. It’s made them a seven-figure liability for sportsbooks, according to a report from ESPN’s David Purdham.

After already taking bets on the Orioles at odds as long as 2,000-1, Caesars Sportsbook took a $1,000 bet in July on the Orioles at 500-1 to win the World Series and a separate $1,000 bet on them to win the AL at 250-1. The public is backing the Orioles on a game-by-game basis too after previously betting their opponents about 90% of the time in April and May, the report cited from DraftKings.

“In April and May, along with the A’s and Reds, [the Orioles] were one of the teams that we were just rooting for on a daily basis,” Caesars lead baseball trader Eric Biggio said in the report. “We knew we were going to need that team to win in order to have a decent day. Now, it’s flipped.”

Mets partner with Caesars to open sportsbook at Citi Field this season

Citi Field is getting a sportsbook.

The New York Mets have entered a multi-year partnership with Caesars Entertainment to make Caesars Sportsbook their official sports betting partner, the sides announced Wednesday.

The partnership includes plans to open a sportsbook at Citi Field this season called Caesars Sportsbook at Metro Grille. It makes the Mets just the latest on a long list of professional sports teams with sportsbooks at their home stadiums.

The Mets’ sportsbook will be an upscale 13,000 square foot venue on the Excelsior Level of Citi Field, according to the press release. It will include a multi-tiered dining room and outdoor patio seating complete with panoramic views overlooking left field.

This partnership comes just months after the legalization of mobile sports betting in New York. The state set a record for money wagered in a single month in any state.

“New York is a key state for us following the successful launch of our Caesars Sportsbook app in January,” co-president of Caesars Digital Chris Holdren said. “The Mets’ fanbase is one of the most loyal in baseball and this partnership offers us the chance to treat those passionate fans like Caesars. We look forward to opening our space at Citi Field during an exciting time for the franchise.”
