Wisconsin football is one of the top programs in the nation when it comes to consistency

The one thing Wisconsin football has not had over the past two decades of coaching changes, close wins and losses, and a revolving door of players? A losing season. Wisconsin is currently second in the country in terms of consecutive winning seasons as they have rattled off 22 straight winning seasons. The only school ahead of them is one you may not have guessed. The Boise State Broncos currently hold the longest winning season streak at 26 consecutive years without a losing record.

Wisconsin is ahead of notable names such as SEC dynasties in Georgia and Alabama, Big Ten rivals Ohio State and Iowa, and a number of other big-name programs:

Despite the Air Raid offense showing up in Florida, Wisconsin fell after a late LSU surge to drop the ReliaQuest Bowl 35-31.

Tanner Mordecai had brilliant moments in his final collegiate game, finishing the day with 378 yards and a trio of touchdowns, two of which were thrown to slot receiver Will Pauling.

Wisconsin led 28-14 in the third quarter after a Jackson Acker 33-yard scamper for a touchdown, but LSU would put together three touchdown drives over the final quarter and a half to steal one late in Florida. The latest betting odds as Wisconsin takes on LSU in ReliaQuest Bowl

Wisconsin and LSU do battle on New Year’s Day in Florida as the teams square off in the ReliaQuest bowl. As is customary around bowl season, both squads will be missing key contributors headlined by Wisconsin missing running back Braelon Allen who is headed for the NFL, and the Tigers going without Heisman winner Jayden Daniels who is also preparing for the next level.

The betting odds have slowly moved in Wisconsin’s favor throughout the week, as the line began with LSU seen as double-digit favorites. Currently, across a number of books, the most popular line is sitting at LSU -9, meaning the Tigers are nine-point favorites on Monday.

Wisconsin officially announces the signing of Oklahoma transfer RB Tawee Walker

The Badgers add a transfer running back

Earlier today, Wisconsin officially announced the signing of Oklahoma transfer running back Tawee Walker as the Badgers added to their postseason success in the portal.

Walker was Oklahoma’s change of pace back this past season, and had seven touchdowns to go with his 513 yards as a Sooner this past year. He comes to Wisconsin to play in a running back room headlined by Chez Mellusi, who will return to lead the way. Walker heads to Madison with one year of eligibility left in a running back room that will lose Braelon Allen’s services to the NFL draft after this season.

Former Wisconsin football wide receiver Markus Allen officially announced his next school on Thursday.

He was with Wisconsin this past spring, but ultimately decided to enter the portal over the summer as the new coaching regime came in.

Allen will be heading to a notable community college program that has produced NFL talent in the past and is often a good stepping stone back to a great opportunity. He will head to Kansas to play for Butler Community College, which has produced notable professional names such as Demarcus Lawrence and Michael Gallup among others.

Allen will head to Kansas with three years of eligibility.

Wisconsin is still cooking in the transfer portal as the Badgers added to their running back room on Friday.

Wisconsin went south to grab Oklahoma transfer running back Tawee Walker out of the portal. He will have one year of eligibility left in Madison. Walker is known for his speed as a smaller running back, and the 5-foot-9 rusher ran for 513 yards and seven touchdowns this past season for the Sooners. He was also at his best in some big moments, including a pair of touchdowns in Oklahoma’s rivalry win over Texas.

Here is a look at Walker’s post as he joins a room led by Chez Mellusi’s return:

On throwback Thursday, ESPN Madison threw it back to the last time Wisconsin beat LSU as the Badgers shocked then-No. 5 LSU at Lambeau Field to open their season.

Former Wisconsin linebacker Chris Orr also had some choice words for the dirty hit that an LSU offensive lineman decided to take on after a game-sealing interception by former Badger D’Cota Dixon. The Badgers came into the game as massive underdogs against a top-five team, but thanks to a 47-yard field goal by Rafael Gaglianone, the Badgers escaped with a 16-14 win and some cheap hits afterwards. A number of Badgers in the NFL have their own teams putting on Pro Bowl campaigns for them, and Wisconsin football’s Twitter account is also involved in trying to get them to the NFL’s version of an All-Star game.

We thankfully don’t have to sit through an actual attempt at a football game during this year’s NFL Pro Bowl, as there will be a series of skill events and a 7-on-7 challenge. A number of Badgers have certainly played well enough to have a chance at going, including a number of young defensive stars and lineman. Here is a look at the players that Wisconsin is campaigning for:

As usual for Badgers in the NFL, a number of offensive lineman will also be in action led by New York Jets center Joe Tippmann, who has been top among all rookie offensive lineman in Pro Football Focus grades.
