Kyle Field inks a multi-year deal that will make Molson Coors the new beer sponsor just in time for the football season

Texas A&M venues will move on from Anheuser-Busch to Molson Coors as their new beer sponsor starting in September

It was announced that Molson Coors will replace Anheuser-Busch as the official beer sponsor for the Maroon and White. This matches well with the tune of Aggie athletics over the past few years, which is change. The following sports all replaced a tenured coach within the last two years.

One of the most surprising changes was Jimbo Fisher handing over the play calling and QB coach duties to new Aggie football offensive coordinator Bobby Petrino.

So, it’s only fitting that the beer of choice at Kyle Field also changed after seven years. This move will also make way for Revolver Brewing Company to spearhead a new A&M-branded beer as 12th Man Lager will be phased in the change.

“Molson Coors along with Revolver Brewing Company will also develop a new Texas A&M-branded beer that will debut during the fall of 2023. More information about the product launch and availability will be announced at a later date.”

Ross Bjork continues to do what he does best: bringing in deals and innovation that enhance the experience for fans, students, and athletes. Below is what he had to say about the deal.

“We are always looking for innovative opportunities to engage more Aggies and enhance the fan experience for the 12th Man at all of our venues and we are excited to partner with Coors Light, Twisted Tea and Kristen Distributing Company this fall,” Texas A&M Director of Athletics Ross Bjork said. “This multi-year partnership will not only provide already great products to our fans but open new opportunities for the Molson Coors and Boston Beer families. Most importantly, we appreciate all three partners shared commitment to encourage fans to drink responsibly.”

Ad Meter Roundup: Anheuser-Busch four pack provides plenty of laughs, and dancing

Stars and laughs: A four pack of beer and laughs:

Beer is always a leading feature on the commercial circuit during the Big Game.

Ahead of Super Bowl 57 and the 35th year of Ad Meter, that’s not set to change, but it will been different. Anheuser-Busch has ended its exclusive advertising sponsorship after more than 30 years.

While others such as Molson Coors have notably entered the chat, AB InBev isn’t going anywhere.

Anheuser-Busch brands are still set to feature during the 2023 Super Bowl and in a way we all love: Some big stars for the massive stage and plenty of laughs.

We know this because AB InBev has already released a four pack of adverts that are set to feature during commercial breaks during Super Bowl LVII.

Get an early look at the quadruple below:

Was ‘This Bud’ for You: A look at the different Budweiser labels during the Super Bowl era

Few things are as synonymous with Super Bowl Sunday than beer—whether it’s commercials, the Super Bowl parties, the pregame, the post-victory celebrations, you name it. And when thinking about the history of the Super Bowl, few brands come to mind more quickly than Budweiser. (In fact, if you haven’t already thought about the frogs spelling it out, well, you are now: “Bud! Weis! Er!”)

The King of Beers has been around since 1876 and has become one of the most recognizable brands. There are the iconic Clydesdales, which trotted onto the scene some 85 years ago. The hitch was part of a gift to August A. Busch, Sr. in 1933, celebrating the repeal of Prohibition. More present-day additions include cameos by Budweiser’s Dalmatian, plus impactful messaging like that featured in this year’s Big Game commercial, “Typical American.”

And, of course, there’s the label.

There have been 26 versions since the pre-1920s, and at this year’s Super Bowl, Budweiser unveiled the 27th.

Didn’t realize it’s changed that much? Many probably haven’t, but thanks to Budweiser, we can take a trip down Super Bowl memory lane, beginning in 1967, and get a glimpse at some of the changes throughout history.

See if you can spot the differences while remembering if “This Bud” was for you…
