Giants injury report: Malik Nabers, six others miss practice

“I’ll just give you guys that aren’t, right now. So, (Tyrone) Tracy (Jr.), he won’t practice. Again, it’s Tuesday, so it’s a little different. (Malik) Nabers, John Michael (Schmitz Jr.), (Greg) Stroman (Jr.), (Raheem) Layne, (Cory) Durden, McFadden and Dru Phillips.”

Like the players, all of the front office staff had Wednesday off but Daboll did say quarterback Drew Lock is expected to start.

“I think Drew will be ok,” he said.

Giants signing guards Austin Schlottmann, Aaron Stinnie

The New York Giants have agreed to terms with offensive linemen Austin Schlottmann and Aaron Stinnie.

The New York Giants lost offensive lineman Ben Bredeson to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Friday but promptly rebounded by agreeing to terms with guards Aaron Stinnie and Auston Schlottmann.

Stinnie and Schlottmann were both signed as undrafted free agents in 2018.

Stinnie attended James Madison University and has played for the Tennessee Titans and Tampa Bay Buccaneers, including as a member of the Bucs’ 2020 Super Bowl Championship team. According to Pro Football Focus, he allowed just two sacks on 442 pass block snaps last season.

Schlottman attended Texas Christian University and has suited up for the Denver Broncos and Minnesota Vikings. A versatile player who has lined up at right guard, center and left guard, Pro Football Focus indicates he has never allowed more than one sack in a season. His ability to line up in multiple spots will certainly come in handy in 2024.

Having some veterans along the offensive line will hopefully help stabilize and solidify the protective shield around Daniel Jones.

Stinnie and Schlottmann may have gone undrafted, but both are welcome additions to an offense that needs some serious help.

Former Bucs OL Aaron Stinnie signs 1-year deal with Giants

Former Tampa Bay Buccaneers offensive lineman Aaron Stinnie is signing a one-year deal in free agency with the New York Giants

Former Tampa Bay Buccaneers offensive lineman Aaron Stinnie is signing a one-year deal with the New York Giants, per ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler.

Stinnie has spent most of his career in Tampa Bay as a backup, but started 11 games at guard last season, and also performed admirably when thrust into the starting lineup due to injury during the Bucs’ Super Bowl run back in 2020.

This news comes at the same time the Bucs have signed a one-year deal with former Giants guard Ben Bredeson, which means he and Stinnie are basically just switching places in free agency.

1 pending free agent the Colts could target from each NFC team

Taking a look at one pending free agent for the Colts from each NFC team.

With free agency right around the corner, the Indianapolis Colts have the chance to make some key additions to a roster that already has some promise.

Working with some of the most salary-cap space in the NFL this offseason, general manager Chris Ballard and the front office can continue to add pieces to the defensive side of the ball while improving the supporting cast for quarterback Anthony Richardson.

Re-signing some of their own players like Michael Pittman Jr., Grover Stewart and Kenny Moore II will be key. But they also could look around the conference to bring in some outside talent.

We know Ballard isn’t one to make huge splashes in free agency, but they are still going to be an active team even if it means simply adding depth.

Here’s a look at one pending free agent from each NFC team that should interest the Colts:

Eagles eliminated from playoffs after 32-9 loss to Buccaneers

The Eagles are set for a dramatic overhaul following the team’s shocking 32-9 loss to the Buccaneers in the wild-card round of the NFC playoffs.

Philadelphia was 0-11 on third and fourth downs combined, tallying 268 total yards on ten offensive drives in a sloppy affair that saw missed tackles and no answer for the Tampa blitz as the Eagles were held to 38 rushing yards on the night.

Baker Mayfield outplayed Jalen Hurts, going 22-36 passing for 337 yards, three touchdowns, and 0 interceptions with a 119 quarterback rating.

Rachaad White was strong on the ground, rushing 18 times for 62 yards on the night.

The Eagles will now head into an uncertain offseason, having lost six of the final seven games played, and an overhaul could include head coach Nick Sirianni with the likes of Jim Harbaugh, Bill Belichick, and others available after mass changes around the league.
