Rank ‘Em: Recent Notre Dame Alternate Uniforms

I liked the theme of this uniform even if the final look was far from amazing.  I found it hard to read the lettering and even though the helmet was a solid effort, you couldn’t tell it was anything unique other than a different color gold unless the camera was zoomed in.

The first time in green since 2011 saw a much-brighter version as the Irish entered iconic Fenway Park to battle Boston College.  I don’t mind the bright green once in a great while and thought these were a pretty good look with at least something besides the recycled shamrock on the side of the helmet. Maybe the leprachaun wasn’t the greatest thing but at least there was effort for it.

And at least Notre Dame held on to beat a bad Boston College team on a pretty hideous night offensively.
