Rank ‘Em: Recent Notre Dame Alternate Uniforms

I liked the theme of this uniform even if the final look was far from amazing.  I found it hard to read the lettering and even though the helmet was a solid effort, you couldn’t tell it was anything unique other than a different color gold unless the camera was zoomed in.

NCAA Football: Maryland at Notre Dame

These were the first new uniforms that the Irish wore for one of those neutral site home games known as the Shamrock Series.  The folks at Adidas also must have spent months putting together these uniforms as they used the same green jerseys from the previous six years, kept the shamrock from the Michigan game earlier that fall and just threw it on a shiny helmet.  Poor effort to spruce up an otherwise good look.

At least the Irish rolled, 45-21 over Maryland.
