Rank ‘Em: Recent Notre Dame Alternate Uniforms

I liked the theme of this uniform even if the final look was far from amazing.  I found it hard to read the lettering and even though the helmet was a solid effort, you couldn’t tell it was anything unique other than a different color gold unless the camera was zoomed in.

Playing at Soldier Field in Chicago for the first time in 18 years the Irish busted out this blue and gold look with the blue stripe down the pant leg and helmet with a blue base and white leprachaun on one side and shiny gold on the other.  This was the first time Notre Dame went with the exotic uniform, not just helmet and the result turned out to leave much to be desired.

At least Notre Dame man-handled Miami that night, 41-3.
