2016 was a memorable season for all of the wrong reasons, mostly because the Irish went 4-8. One of those four wins however was against Army in the Shamrock Series, that one held at the Alamodome in San Antonio, the second time Notre Dame hosted a Shamrock game there.

I liked the theme of this uniform even if the final look was far from amazing. I found it hard to read the lettering and even though the helmet was a solid effort, you couldn’t tell it was anything unique other than a different color gold unless the camera was zoomed in.
Like I said before, at least the Irish had one of their few victories of the season in them.
