While his hands were questioned at various points in his career and continue to be scrutinized in the NFL to this day, there is absolutely no questioning Will Fuller’s ability to get open. His speed is often the thing that gets highlighted, but his ability at the line of scrimmage to avoid jams or get off a pressing defender was special. Quick footwork at the line of scrimmage coupled with his blazing straight-line speed made it virtually impossible for any defender to keep up with Fuller and made it easy for quarterbacks to find him. Whether it was slants or gos, Fuller could shake a defender for a touchdown, which he did 30 times, good enough for second in Notre Dame history.
