If this were a wide receiver building exercise and it consisted of picking body parts, Stovall’s arms would be the first thing I chose. Stovall’s length afforded him the ability to make poorly thrown balls look like they were right on target. Although it took him until his senior year and Charlie Weis to be installed as head coach to finally breakout, he was an essential part of the Notre Dame offense during the 2005 campaign. He was finally put in a position to make plays downfield and with the enormous catch radius he possessed, everything quarterback Brady Quinn threw in his direction was catchable.
