Eagles fans will now be able to bet on games and enjoy an interactive gambling experience at the Linc every Sunday.

As the centerpiece of a new multi-year sponsorship with FOX Bet – an industry leader in the mobile casino, poker, and sportsbook space – the Philadelphia Eagles announced that they will unveil a new FOX Bet branded interactive studio at Lincoln Financial Field.

Constructed from the ground up for the purpose of entertaining Eagles fans in an unprecedented way, the new studio will feature exclusive content across multiple platforms presented by FOX Bet. Led by Eagles on-air personalities and featuring Eagles Legends, with special guest appearances from FOX Bet’s esteemed contributors, the custom content will be produced by the Eagles in conjunction with FOX Bet. Additionally, FOX Bet will serve as the presenting sponsor of Eagles Edge, a new program airing on the team’s digital channels following all Eagles games. This new series, filmed on game days when the team is playing at home, will be broadcast across a number of digital team platforms, including the Eagles Official YouTube channel, the Eagles Official Mobile App, PhiladelphiaEagles.com, and Eagles social channels.

The sponsorship deal includes broadcast, digital and social media advertising on team channels, custom promotions, and a strong branding presence on game days. The deal also includes prominent messaging on the stadium’s LED boards and end zone boards, as well as signage on concourse levels. FOX Bet will also serve as the presenting sponsor of the Eagles Tailgate Crew – tailgating pods featuring Eagles Entertainment groups that interact with Eagles fans in the parking lots on game days when fans return.

“This new, fully integrated partnership with FOX Bet has enabled us to reimagine the way we deliver content to our fans in a fun and innovative way,” said Catherine Carlson, Senior Vice President of Revenue and Strategy, Philadelphia Eagles. “Every week during the NFL season, this new interactive studio will bring Eagles fans closer to the game through exclusive access and interviews, football commentary from some of the biggest on-air FOX Sports personalities, and many other surprises along the way. We look forward to growing our partnership with FOX Bet, an industry leader that continues to expand its footprint in the Philadelphia market.”

The FOX Bet Lounge will become available when the in-person sports experience returns to full capacity. It will be located on the service level adjacent to the player parking lot and locker rooms. The 4,000 square-foot premium lounge will be able to accommodate up to 380 fans.

Eagles to sign G Jamon Brown off the Bears practice to squad to their active roster

With the Philadelphia Eagles dealing with multiple injuries along the offensive line, the team has agreed to a deal with Jamon Brown, signing the offensive guard off of the Chicago Bears practice squad.

Brown was drafted by the St. Louis Rams in the 3rd round, 72nd overall, in the 2015 NFL Draft.

In 2017, Brown opened the season as the starting right guard, starting all 16 games.

Brown has suspended the first two games of the 2018 season for violating the NFL Policy and Program for Substances of Abuse.

Last March, Brown signed a three-year, $18.75 million contract with the Atlanta Falcons, before being released in August.

Brown was signed to the Chicago Bears practice squad last week.

The Philadelphia Eagles have made another roster move, placing defensive end Vinny Curry on the short term IR.

Curry (hamstring) and defensive back Craig James (thigh) suffered “significant injuries” in Sunday’s loss to the Washington Football Team and will miss time over the next couple weeks, coach Doug Pederson said.

Eagles sign G Sua Opeta to the active roster

Eagles sign G Sua Opeta to the active roster

On Tuesday, the Eagles placed both Craig James and Vinny Curry on short term Injured Reserve and the Birds filled one of the open spots on the active roster by signing guard Sua Opeta from the practice squad.

Opeta was called up from the practice squad for Sunday’s game but did not play. Opeta was on the practice squad to open the 2019 season, but the Weber State product was eventually promoted to the active roster in December.

To replace Opeta on the practice squad, the Eagles signed tight end Jordan Franks. The 24-year-old Franks played in six games for the Bengals in 2018, registering two catches for 37 yards. The 6-4, 240-pound Franks had 43 catches for 509 yards and two touchdowns at Central Florida.

He did not play in a game.

The Eagles injury woes continue to pile up and on Tuesday, talented reserve cornerback Craig James was placed on short term IR with a thigh injury according to Tom Pelissero.

James, who just signed a contract extension, and play a role in Sidney Jones being waived, will be eligible to return to the lineup in three weeks when the Birds face the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Eagles RT Lane Johnson confirms he’ll play vs. the LA Rams

Eagles RT Lane Johnson confirms he’ll play vs. the LA Rams

The Philadelphia Eagles can look forward to getting their best offensive lineman back this week, as Lane Johnson confirmed to Derrick Gunn that he will play against the Los Angeles Rams on Sunday in the Birds home opener.

“I’m gonna be out there, DGunn” said Johnson on Derrick Gunn’s new podcast “Gunn On One”. “I’m gonna be out there. So count on it.”

Johnson was one of seven Eagles inactive for Sunday’s loss at Washington after revealed that he had spent training camp recovery from August ankle surgery.

Johnson has been an All-Pro and made consecutive Pro Bowls despite the ankle injury nagging him for the better part of two years.

Eagles to sign TE Jordan Franks to their practice squad

The Philadelphia Eagles are set to sign tight end Jordan Franks to their 16 man practice squad according to Aaron Wilson of The Houston Chronicle.

Franks signed with the Cincinnati Bengals as an undrafted free agent in 2018, failing to make the Bengals’ 53-man roster out of training camp and was subsequently signed to the team’s practice squad.

During his rookie season, Franks played in six games with two receptions for 37 yards and one tackle on special teams.

Franks was waived during the Bengals final roster cut.

Franks’ younger brother, Feleipe, is a former starting quarterback for the University of Florida and currently a quarterback for the University of Arkansas Razorbacks.

Eagles DE Josh Sweat lands ahead of Aaron Donald as the 2nd- highest graded defensive player in Week 1

Josh Sweat was the No. 2 highest graded edge-rushers in Week 1

The Philadelphia Eagles will work to get over Sunday’s dreadful 27-17 loss to Washington on the road, that saw the Birds give up 27 unanswered points. Lost in the misery was a strong performance from defensive end Josh Sweat.

Sweat’s strong performance against Washington could make things difficult for Derek Barnett, who’s looking to regain his standing on the depth chart amid another battle with injuries.

Sweat was dominant in the loss, playing 70% of the snaps at defensive end and finishing ahead of the Rams Aaron Donald, as the second highest-graded player in the NFL at the position this week.

Jaguars promote former Eagles CB Sidney Jones to their active roster

The Philadelphia Eagles could be short at cornerback after Craig James suffered a significant injury on Sunday, and if they do seek out help for the secondary, a familiar name can no longer come back to the fold.

Ian Rapoport is reporting that the Jacksonville Jaguars have promoted cornerback Sidney Jones from the practice squad to the active roster.

Jones, the team’s 2017 second-round draft pick, has dealt with injuries and inconsistent play after tearing his Achilles prior to the draft.

Jones missed most of his rookie season recovering from the injury and never developed into the player the Eagles assumed they drafted. In Jacksonville, Jones will get the opportunity to play early and often, thus improving his confidence.
