Texas football’s highest-graded returners on offense per PFF

According to PFF, these were the top five players on offense for Texas last season.

The once uncertain college football season is now rapidly approaching.

As of now, the Big 12, SEC and ACC conferences are moving forward with a fall football schedule. It’s certainly a possibility that COVID-19 could derail the season at any point, but they’re trusting the health and safety measures put in place to give the players a chance to compete.

Texas is in need of a fresh start. After hiring two new coordinators this offseason in Mike Yurcich and Chris Ash, the Longhorns are hoping to improve from an underwhelming 8-5 record in 2019.

The standard and expectations at Texas are to compete for conference titles. Ultimately, that’s the first stepping stone in order to reach the College Football Playoff.

Although consistency and coaching played a role in the five losses last season, there were still several bright spots on the offensive side of the ball. After all, quarterback Sam Ehlinger produced one of the top individual seasons in school history as a junior.
