Georgia fans should be happy the Bulldogs are getting a rare noon CBS game.

The Week 7 SEC football schedule is a good one. It features Auburn at LSU, Arkansas at Alabama, Texas A&M at Tennessee, Florida at South Carolina and Missouri at Kentucky.

Georgia destroys Vanderbilt, moves to 4-0

Georgia was simply dominant on Saturday.

Georgia did not look like the No. 2 team in the nation on Saturday against Vanderbilt.

It looked like No. 1.

The Bulldogs came into Nashville and completely dominated the Commodores in all categories. Georgia won the game 62-0.

Georgia wasted absolutely no time putting this game to rest. Eight minutes in, Georgia was up 21-0. 12 minutes in and that lead was 35-0.

True freshman tight end Brock Bowers continued to impress. He scored three touchdowns on the day, including a game-opening end-around 12 yard touchdown run. The former four-star out of Napa, California is looking like the favorite target of both JT Daniels and backup passer Stetson Bennett.

Bowers finished with 69 yards receiving and 3 total touchdowns.

And then there was Ladd McConkey, a redshirt freshman receiver, who also had a nice day. McConkey scored two touchdowns – one on the ground and one in the air.

He had total 86 yards.

Daniels only played one quarter before being sidelined with the game in hand. He completed 9 of 10 passes for 129 yards and two touchdowns. His only incompletion was a dropped ball.

Bennett came in to allow Daniels to rest. He threw 15 passes, completing 11 of them, and had one touchdown and one interception.

In total, Georgia put up 532 yards of total offense — 291 passing, 241 rushing.

Defensively, Georgia was at dominant as ever. The Bulldogs’ recorded its first shutout of the season. Through four games, Georgia’s defense has still only allowed 16 points and just one touchdown.

Georgia allowed just 24 passing yards to Vanderbilt. You read that right. The Commodores rushed for 54 yards. Vandy had 77 yards of offense.

Georgia forced three turnovers – one fumble and two interceptions.

Overall, it was pure domination.

Watch: Highlights from Georgia’s 38-0 first half vs. Vanderbilt

Here’s highlights from Georgia’s dominant first half in Nashville.

We thought No. 2 Georgia would get off to a fast start in Nashville versus Vanderbilt and the Bulldogs did just that in the first half.

UGA leads the Commodores 35-0, with every point coming in the first quarter with J.T. Daniels at quarterback.

It all started with a touchdown rush from freshman tight end Brock Bowers.

And no, you’re not seeing double. Bowers scored another touchdown in the Dawgs’ second possession.

Then it was the Georgia kickoff team in on the action with a fumble recovery that set up a one-yard Zamir White touchdown rush.

Then it was Georgia’s defense in on the action as safety Christopher Smith secured his second interception of the year.

The next two scores came at the hands of freshman receiver Ladd McConkey, who caught his first career touchdown pass before running for a score on an end-around in consecutive possessions.

Kicker Jack Podlesny added a 31 yard field goal to make it 38-0 at the half. You can catch the rest of the game live on the SEC Network.

Georgia injury report ahead of UGA vs Vanderbilt

UGA has dealt with an injury bug since fall camp but several Bulldogs may be returning to the field soon. Here’s an updated injury report for the matchup with Vanderbilt.

No. 2 Georgia (3-0) takes on Vanderbilt (1-2) this Saturday at noon in Nashville.

The Bulldogs have had a slew of injury problems since fall camp, but there is some good news for Georgia fans.

For the first time since week-one, star quarterback J.T. Daniels is not on our injury report. Daniels made his return versus South Carolina after dealing with an oblique injury that caused him to miss the UAB game and while he is still rehabbing on a daily basis, Daniels is cleared to go barring any setbacks.

Receiver Kearis Jackson looks to be almost 100% after recovering from a knee procedure in fall camp. The leading pass catcher from a year ago only returned punts versus Clemson and UAB but was back at receiver against South Carolina.

Smart updated the status of both tight end Darnell Washington and defensive back Tykee Smith in a press conference on Monday. Both stars have been running and cutting this week after recovering from foot surgeries over five weeks ago. Smart said the matchup with Vanderbilt was targeted for their return, so we may see both suit up versus the Commodores.

Receiver Dominick Blaylock is close to taking the field after working his way back from an ACL tear suffered last year. The redshirt sophomore has had a setback, though. Georgia coach Kirby Smart said Blaylock has ‘tweaked’ his hamstring, signaling it will be more time before we see him take the field.

On Thursday, we learned that reserve cornerback Jalen Kimber will miss the rest of the season after undergoing shoulder surgery. The redshirt freshman had been dealing with the labrum injury since fall camp.

Last week Georgia lost reserve inside linebacker Rian Davis to a quad injury suffered in practice. Davis underwent successful surgery and is expected to be out for the year.

Star wideout George Pickens is rehabbing an ACL tear suffered in the spring, but the media caught a glimpse of Pickens running and catching passes at practice this week. A possible return this season is looking more and more like a reality.

LSU transfer Arik Gilbert is still not with the team due to personal reasons.

Here’s an updated injury report for Saturday’s matchup.

Watch: Georgia basketball sinks Commodores with sunken buzzer beater

Hoping for a couple of misses and hoping to rebound, Tyree Crump and company needed a miracle. Tom Crean’s team got just what they needed.

To a pessimist, it was a battle between bordering states’ basketball bottom dwellers.

To an optimist, it was a glass-half-full of fun.

Georgia pulled off a rare come-from-behind win in Nashville against Vanderbilt amidst a season plagued with blown leads.

Trailing by a single point with just over five seconds remaining in regulation, Tyree Crump lined up outside the paint prior to a pair of Vanderbilt free throws. Hoping for a couple of misses and then hoping to rebound, Crump and company needed a miracle.

Tom Crean’s team got just what they needed.

One of this college basketball season’s best back-and-forth contests played out the ending we all deserved, and thankfully for Dawg Nation, the good guys came out on top.

Former Crean apprentice Dwyane Wade chimed in to express some enthusiasm for his collegiate coach’s current squad.

Georgia improves to 14-13 on the season and picked up their fourth conference win of the year. The Bulldogs’ next appearance will be in Columbia to take on the South Carolina Gamecocks on Wednesday, February 26.
