New behind-the-scenes video shows Jason Kelce pouring his heart out to Eagles before Super Bowl 57

“Just be [expletive] dogs. Dog mentality, play after play!”

Most NFL centers are anonymous and generally stay out of the public eye. Most NFL centers are not Jason Kelce, a likely future Hall of Famer for the Philadelphia Eagles. He is an industrial magnet of charisma, personality, and leadership. He also happens to be an All-Pro-caliber player to boot.

In a new video from Amazon Prime’s Kelce — a show that was supposed to document the final year of Kelce’s professional football career — we’re reminded just how Kelce means to Philadelphia.

The clip features Kelce and the rest of the Eagles in a conference room before last February’s Super Bowl 57 matchup against the Kansas City Chiefs. And predictably, Kelce absolutely pours his heart out to his teammates, trying to channel the proper emotional energy for one of the biggest moments in their football lives.

Phew. I’m getting goosebumps just watching Kelce speak from the heart as the room falls silent. You could probably literally hear a pin drop as Kelce speaks. We have yet another example of why he’ll be remembered as an Eagles legend.

Miles Sanders enjoying increased role with Panthers after lack of opportunities in Super Bowl

Carolina running back Miles Sanders is relishing his increased role with Panthers after lack of carries and opportunities in Eagles’ Super Bowl loss to the Chiefs

[connatix div_id=”3f8b015acdd24c648befc5d5dac47469″ player_id=”afe1e038-d3c2-49c0-922d-6511a229f69c” cid=”7cbcea0d-4ce2-4c75-9a8d-fbe02a192c24″]

Miles Sanders took his talents to Carolina in free agency, signing a four-year deal worth $25 million with $13 million guaranteed.

His last appearance as an Eagle was an unforgettable performance in the Super Bowl LVII loss, where Sanders logged seven carries for 16 yards in a 38-35 loss.

Now comfortably meshing with the new-look Panthers and quarterback Bryce Young, Sanders told the Associated Press that heeady for ‘more opportunities’ to help Carolina after his Super Bowl disappointment.

“Last game of the season? For all of the marbles? Everybody can answer that question,” Sanders said when asked if he was disappointed by how he was used in the Super Bowl. “If they put themselves in my shoes, would they be happy? I don’t want to make headlines, (but) if it does, I don’t care.”

Sanders said that isn’t the reason he left Philadelphia.

“I can get into that another day, maybe,” Sanders said. “Maybe you should ask them why I’m moving here.”

Sanders isn’t here because Philadelphia doesn’t value the running back position, and all four key ball carriers under contract make about the same as Sanders combined.

Sanders had his best season as a pro in 2022 but only played 34% of the offensive snaps, while Gainwell played more than 50% in the 38-35 loss.

Chiefs-Eagles Super Bowl LVII is most-watched ever after confusion over Nielsen Ratings

Chiefs-Eagles Super Bowl LVII is the most-watched ever after confusion over Nielsen Ratings.

After some initial confusion about the Nielsen Ratings, the Chiefs’ 38-35 win over the Eagles in Super Bowl LVII was the most-watched ever.

According to Michael McCarthy of FrontOfficeSports.com, Nielsen has updated the viewership numbers from 113 million to 115.1 million.

Nielsen is issuing the new record number after a review revealed irregularities in the encoding that enables Nielsen’s measurement of TV viewing and unspecified issues with out-of-home measurement of Super Bowl LVII.

Fox previously stated that viewership for February’s game was 113 million viewers. With the newly updated figure, Fox’s audience rose 2% over the 112.3 million for NBC’s broadcast of Super Bowl LVI last year.

FOX Sports PR quickly confirmed the news.

The new number tops the previous record of 114.4 million viewers for NBC Sports’ coverage of the New England Patriots’ win over the Seattle Seahawks in Super Bowl XLIX in 2015.

C.J. Gardner-Johnson savagely blasted ex-Eagles DC Jonathan Gannon for Super Bowl 57 collapse

PHEW! Gardner-Johnson didn’t mince his words.

It’s been weeks since their Super Bowl 57 loss, but it looks like the Philadelphia Eagles are still ruminating over what could’ve been.

On Tuesday, during the 2023 NFL Scouting Combine, former Eagles’ defensive coordinator Jonathan Gannon spoke about what went wrong for the Philadelphia defense. Now the head coach of the rebuilding Arizona Cardinals, Gannon offered up an unsurprisingly diplomatic reflection on a performance that saw the Eagles surrender 24 second-half points.

This didn’t fly with Philadelphia safety and 2022 co-interceptions leader (6) C.J. Gardner-Johnson. When he saw Gannon’s answer about the Eagles’ defensive woes, Gardner-Johnson put him on blast for his coaching in a now-deleted tweet:

The optics of Gardner-Johnson critiquing his former coach aside (there’s a good reason he deleted it), he probably has a point.

After the Eagles smacked the Kansas City Chiefs around in the first half, the Chiefs adjusted to fight back from a 24-14 deficit. I’m not sure the Eagles, especially Gannon’s defense, did.

The Chiefs had four second-half possessions. They used them to score three touchdowns and notch the 38-35 game-winning field goal. That’s practically perfect, and for a stage as big as the Super Bowl, it’s simply not good enough. When Patrick Mahomes is the opposing team’s quarterback, you have to be better.

Was Gannon completely to blame for his unit’s failures? Assuredly not. The players still have to perform. But Gardner-Johnson putting his former DC back under a microscope is still probably justifiable.

Eagles fan made an absolutely hilarious addition to a premature Super Bowl champions tattoo

For a dumb tattoo, it’s actually amazing.

I’m not quite sure why any fan would decide to get a preemptive championship tattoo. After all, it’s something that could easily wait until that championship occurs — if it ever does.

But some fans must either love the thrill of that gamble or they just want to go viral in the case of a loss. I must give one Philadelphia Eagles fan credit, though. When it comes to a failed preemptive championship tattoo, he appeared to handle the defeat perfectly.

After the Eagles lost Super Bowl 57 to the Kansas City Chiefs, one Eagles fan — who already had a “Super Bowl 57 champs” tattoo — visited tattoo artist Taquan Carr to get the most necessary addition we’ve ever seen.

https://www.instagram.com/p/CoyRjKfOIPk/

The Crying Jordan meme! It’s been forever since that meme was relevant, but it honestly worked perfectly in tattoo form.

The fan’s decision to get the Super Bowl 57 logo (roman numerals and all) tattooed as the background made it extremely difficult to make a simple fix. Otherwise, he could have just added 2018 or something. But well played for thinking outside the box and permanently roasting your own tattoo.

Fans also had thoughts on the new ink.

WATCH: Chiefs vs. Eagles Mic’d Up for Super Bowl LVII

Watch all of the best Mic’d Up moments from the #Chiefs vs. Eagles matchup in Super Bowl LVII.

The NFL’s Game Day All Access has delivered the Super Bowl LVII Mic’d Up with the Kansas City Chiefs taking on the Philadelphia Eagles, showing some of the best behind-the-scenes moments during the course of the big game.

During pregame warm-ups, a candid interaction between Chiefs QB coach Matt Nagy and QB Patrick Mahomes would tell the tale.

“This is what it feels like huh,” Nagy asked Mahomes.

“Yessir,” Mahomes replied.

“That’s good,” Nagy said.

“Great, baby,” Mahomes said. “Wait (until) after we win this shit.”

That was just the beginning. There are plenty of great moments for Kansas City fans to listen in on during this one.

Travis Kelce’s leadership was center stage. He encouraged Harrison Butker after his missed kick, saying, “You know we’re going to need that golden leg!” Of course, Butker went on to kick the game-winning field goal. Then he managed to hype up Kadarius Toney just ahead of his score in the second half.

A jarring moment was seeing just how much pain Patrick Mahomes was in after he rolled his ankle while he was tackled. His guttural moans of anguish showed you just how much pain he was in and battling through.

Another really cool moment was getting to see Isiah Pacheco’s energy on the sideline after his touchdown run. He’s the type of guy that the phrase, “run through a brick wall” was invented for.

There were some dramatic moments, like the no-catch ruling on Nick Bolton’s second fumble returned for a touchdown. We found out that Andy Reid actually wanted a timeout on the play that was broken where Skyy Moore ended up scoring a touchdown. The best part, in my humble opinion, was seeing the raw emotion after the clock hit zero.

Diana Flores surprises family with Super Bowl 57 ad for the NFL

What turned out to be one of the top ad from #SuperBowl 57 was kept a bit of the secret:

Diana Flores gave her family the surprise of a lifetime.

Her name is one you likely recognized from Super Bowl 57. Flores was the star for the NFL’s game day ad, which featured during the commercial break of the Chiefs’ 38-35 win over the Eagles.

But prior to its release, Flores kept it a big secret.

The advert begins as Flores, the captain of Mexico’s women’s national flag football team, is taking part in a sideline interview with known NFL reporter Erin Andrews.

Andrews attempts to take the flag from Flores’ hip as the player is in her gameday uniform. From there, the chase is on.

The commercial follows Flores as she evades NFL players, such as Sauce Gardner and Jalen Ramsey, who are all trying to take her flag. Non-football icons appear to include tennis legend, Billie Jean King.

The commercial was so well received it earned a second-place finish in this year’s USA TODAY Ad Meter ratings with a score of 6.38.

Following the Big Game and the ad’s airing, the NFL has since shared Flores revealing her secret to her family. According to the video, Flores told them that she was going to appear in the 90-second spot for the league… not that she was going to be the star of it.

Upon finding out when viewing the ad for the first time, the emotions poured out.

Check out the reveal via the NFL below:

The Chiefs offensive line trolled the Eagles with ‘0 Sacks’ shirts at the Super Bowl parade

Talk that trash. They earned it.

The Philadelphia Eagles went into Sunday’s Super Bowl 57 against the Chiefs with far and away the best pass rush in the NFL. The Eagles led the league in sacks by a wide margin, and they were going up against a hobbled Patrick Mahomes.

It theoretically should have been a huge game for that defensive front, but come game time, that unit went silent. And the Chiefs have no plans to let the Eagles hear the end of it.

The Chiefs offensive line held the Eagles without a sack in the game. And though the terrible field conditions played a part in that, the Chiefs O-line earned the right to take a victory lap.

After the game, Chiefs offensive tackle Orlando Brown Jr. tweeted, “0 sacks, put it on a (expletive) T Shirt!!!!” Ask and receive …

The Chiefs O-line indeed wore “0 Sacks” shirts during Wednesday’s Super Bowl parade in Kansas City.

I doubt many Eagles players are watching the championship parade, but they probably changed the channel after seeing those shirts. There’s really no response to that either — the Chiefs O-line straight-up won that battle.

Chiefs fans also loved that the players actually turned the tweet into shirts.

Mic’d-up Chiefs coaches couldn’t believe Patrick Mahomes threw a TD with team in the wrong formation

Mahomes is THAT good.

If you needed any indication as to how well the Chiefs played in the second half of Sunday’s Super Bowl 57, just look at the fourth-quarter touchdown to Skyy Moore.

The Chiefs weren’t lined up in the right formation, and they managed to score anyway.

On the latest edition of Inside the NFL from NFL Films, we got a mic’d-up look at the Chiefs’ 38-35 win over the Eagles. And one sequence, in particular, stood out. Shortly after Kadarius Toney’s 65-yard punt return put the Chiefs inside the five-yard line, Mahomes connected with Moore on a short touchdown pass to extend the lead to eight points.

But in that footage, we saw that head coach Andy Reid wanted to call a timeout, which wasn’t granted. That was because Reid saw that the Chiefs weren’t in the right formation. Mahomes knew that at the line and made it work anyway.

When Mahomes got to the sidelines, an awestruck Matt Nagy grabbed him and shouted, “We were in the wrong (expletive) formation!”

Mahomes said, “I know we were. I know. That’s why I went to motion him right.”

Plays are never truly doomed when Mahomes is at quarterback. That much is clear.
