WATCH: Najee Harris shows off speed by racing drone

Alabama running back Najee Harris shows off his speed and offseason training by posting a video of himself racing against a drone.

Alabama running back Najee Harris has been quite active this offseason in preparation for the 2020 college football season. He has posted numerous videos to social media, and even announced a new Youtube series he’s created to show off his training and conditioning.

Training during this offseason has been difficult for athletes from various sports, at all levels, due to the Coronavirus pandemic closing down facilities all across the country.

Harris’ most recent video, posted to Twitter by Q6 Media, shows him racing a drone, and winning.

Another video shows him sprinting on a treadmill and working on his speed.

Harris has a big senior year ahead of him, he is highly regarded as one of the top running backs in the 2021 NFL draft class, and currently has the highest odds within the SEC to be the 2020 Heisman Trophy recipient.

He looks to build upon a 2019 season that saw 209 carries for 1,24 yards and 13 touchdowns. As well as 27 receptions for 304 yards and seven touchdowns.

Roll Tide Wire will keep you updated on Najee Harris and the rest of the 2020 Alabama Crimson Tide team as the start of the 2020 season gets closer.

NFL draft analyst predicts Henry Ruggs’ 40-time

NFL Network draft analyst Daniel Jeremiah announces his prediction for former Alabama wide receiver Henry Ruggs. How fast will @__RUGGS run at the #NFLCombine? @MoveTheSticks | @AlabamaFTBL pic.twitter.com/9DxG3J0oto – NFL Network (@nflnetwork) …

NFL Network draft analyst Daniel Jeremiah announces his prediction for former Alabama wide receiver Henry Ruggs.

Running the 40-yard dash at the combine under 4.4 seconds is extremely impressive, but running at or below a 4.2 is other worldly.

John Ross, the wide receiver out of Washington, ran a 4.22 in the 2017 NFL Combine. He was then drafted No. 9 overall to the Cincinnati Bengals.

Completing the drill at that pace could cement Ruggs’ name in NFL history, as well as help him move up in the draft.

He is currently considered a mid-to-late first-round pick, with Jerry Jeudy and CeeDee Lamb considered to be the top-tw receivers in the draft. However, an impressive combine from Ruggs, paired with his intense speed, could land him inside the top-15.

The NFL Combine is set to kickoff on Feb. 23 in Indianapolis where 10 Alabama players landed invites.

Shaquem Griffin could be key to Seahawks pass rush in 2020 season

Seattle Seahawks linebacker Shaquem Griffin could get chances to contribute significantly to the team’s pass rush in the 2020 season.

By now, we all know the story surrounding Seattle Seahawks linebacker Shaquem Griffin and his incredible journey to the NFL. With the 2019 season concluding, his story will only continue to grow from here.

Griffin was given the opportunity to shine in Week 10 against the 49ers and showed his potential, bringing speed off the edge despite not logging any sacks or tackles.

He further progressed in Week 13 by notching two quarterback hits and a few pressures against the Eagles. His speed showcased something that Ezekiel Ansah and Jadeveon Clowney did not display while rushing the passer. Griffin averaged one pressure per 7.5 rushes and had a pressure percentage of 13.3.

He got his first sack in the postseason against the Packers alongside his twin brother Shaquill and seemed to be growing more with each passing game, likely earning the chance to be a significant contributor next season rushing the passer.

Griffin may be counted on more in 2020 with the impending free agency of both Clowney and Ansah, the latter of whom will almost certainly be gone.

The Seahawks could certainly use more production from the pass rush, and whatever moves are made in free agency and the draft, Griffin could get even more chances to contribute in 2020.

Watch: Georgia football WR signee Arian Smith is insanely FAST

Look at how fast Georgia football wide receiver signee Arian Smith really is.

Arian Smith, a 4-star wide receiver out of Lakeland, Florida, committed and signed with Georgia on the first day of the early signing period last week.

Smith is one of four 4-star wide receivers that the Dawgs signed in this class and ranks as the nation’s No. 14 WR recruit and No. 72 overall prospect on the 247Sports Composite ratings.

Smith is the fastest player in this class and may be the fastest in all of college football next season. He plans on running track at Georgia as well.

Smith partnered with Matthew Boling, Georgia’s record breaking sprinter, in the USA’s U20 4×100 team over the summer. For their age group, Smith and Boling are world record holders in the 4×100.

Smith’s top time posted in the 100 meters is at 10.31 seconds. That’s blazing.

Even faster than Mecole Hardman, who Smith said the Georgia coaches used to convince him to come to Athens.

If you want a preview of just how fast Smith is, you have to watch this clip below posted by Georgia Heroes.

Look at him come from the other end of the field and chase down this player before he crossed the goal line.
