Jaguars open as 1-point underdog vs. Buccaneers in Week 16

Oddsmakers think the Jaguars vs. Buccaneers matchup in Week 16 is a toss up.

The Jacksonville Jaguars are now 0-3 in the month of December while their Week 16 opponent, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, are 3-0.

Although the teams have been heading in opposite directions, the game is in Tampa, and Trevor Lawrence’s status is in doubt, oddsmakers still aren’t convinced that the Buccaneers will run away with a fourth straight win.

Tampa Bay is only a slight favorite against the visiting Jaguars, who may be forced to start C.J. Beathard at quarterback, and the moneyline is a completely even. Those odds could certainly shift as Lawrence’s status becomes more clear, though.

If you’re looking for betting odds on the Jaguars’ upcoming game against the Buccaneers, we’ve got you covered. The following lines for the spread, money line and over/under are from BetMGM, giving you an idea of how the oddsmakers think the game will go.

5 best Jaguars player prop bets for Week 15 vs. Ravens

Which Jaguars player do you expect to have a big game tonight against the Ravens?

No team has allowed fewer touchdowns than the Baltimore Ravens so far in 2023.

The Jacksonville Jaguars have the tall task of cracking through that defense Sunday night. While the Jacksonville offense has been inconsistent for most of the season and is now trying to function without Christian Kirk, it also found the end zone four times against the stout Cleveland Browns defense.

Jaguars tight end Evan Engram has especially hit his stride with three touchdowns through two games in December.

If you’re looking to get in on the action this week with some player prop bets, we’ve got you covered with a handful of wagers to make on the Jaguars. The following prop bets are available on BetMGM, with the listed odds last updated at the time of publication.

Saints vs. Giants: How to watch, bet, listen, and stream Week 15’s matchup

Saints vs. Giants: How to watch, bet, listen, and stream Week 15’s matchup

Can the New Orleans Saints (6-7) stay alive in the NFC South title race? A win over the New York Giants (5-8) on Sunday would sure help their case. But that’s easier said than done when the Giants are riding a three-game win streak behind a stout defense and sensational rookie quarterback Tommy DeVito. The Saints may have snapped their three-game losing skid a week ago, but Derek Carr and Dennis Allen have a lot of work to do in winning back the fanbase.

2023 Grant Thornton Invitational format, odds and picks to win

Everything you need to know for the week in Naples.

The inaugural Grant Thornton Invitational is here and it’s sure to be a great week at Tiburon Golf Club in Naples, Florida.

PGA Tour and LPGA stars have teamed up and are ready to do battle over the course of three days. The first round will be a scramble, the second foursomes (alternate shot) and there will be a new format in play on Sunday. The “modified fourball” consists of both players hitting a tee shot, then switching balls for their second shots and playing that ball until they complete the hole. The lowest of the two scores will count for the team.

Here are some of the notable pairings: Tony Finau/Nelly Korda, Rickie Fowler/Lexi Thompson, Sahith Theegala/Rose Zhang and Lydia Ko/Jason Day. The No.1-ranked Lilia Vu will play alongside fan-favorite Joel Dahmen.

This will be the first co-sanctioned event between the Tour and LPGA since 1999.

Bills open as slight underdogs at Chiefs in Week 14

The #Bills come out of the bye as an underdog at the #Chiefs:

The Buffalo Bills (6-6) had their bye during Week 13.

After 12 weeks of football in which a lot happened for the Bills, on and off the field, going into Week 14, Buffalo will be facing the Kansas City Chiefs (8-4) at Arrowhead Stadium.

The betting markets appear to be going against them at this moment.

According to BetMGM, the Bills have opened as 2.5-point underdogs to the Chiefs. This could spell doom for Buffalo as they are 1-4 on the road and have lost three of their last five games, including a 37-34 overtime loss to the Philadelphia Eagles. The good thing is, the Bills will be coming into this game off a full week of rest.

Even so, the spread has been none-too-kind to Buffalo in 2023. So far,the Bills are worse against the spread than their record indicates: 4-7-1.

Meanwhile, the Chiefs (8-4) are closing to covering the spread in most of their outings. Kansas City is 7-5 ATS this year.

The over/under for the game is listed at 47.5 and the number could rise given how potent both offenses are.

The last time that these teams faced each other, a 24-20 Bills win on Oct. 16, 2022, Buffalo star quarterback Josh Allen threw for 329 yards and three touchdowns.

In terms of covering the over/under, that might be a hint for both teams. Buffalo and Kansas City are both 4-8 in covering their point totals this season.

The moneyline sits at Chiefs (-138) and Bills (+118).

NFL Week 13 best bets: One wager to make for every team

NFL Week 13 best bets: One wager to make for every team:

With the 2023 schedule reaching the final six weeks of the regular season, the playoff picture is taking shape and becoming clearer. Week 13 isn’t exactly rich with rivalry games or big-time matchups, but we do still get 49ers-Eagles in the late-afternoon window and Chiefs-Packers on Sunday night.

After a special Thanksgiving edition of our best bets series last week, we’re back with a full slate of picks for Week 13. Though six teams are on a bye, we still had 26 of our favorite bets for this week’s contests.

Saints are 4-point underdogs against the Lions at home in the Caesars Superdome

Saints are 4-point underdogs against the Lions at home in the Caesars Superdome

Oddsmakers are expecting a tight game from the New Orleans Saints (5-6) in Week 13; BetMGM Sportsbook has the Saints as four-point underdogs at home against the Detroit Lions (8-3), with a 47-point over/under suggesting a final line in the neighborhood of Detroit 25, New Orleans 21.

That would be the most points the Saints have scored in a game since the start of November, when they put up 24 points on the Chicago Bears in their last home game. They haven’t finished with a winning record at the Caesars Superdome in years, and they’re 2-2 right now. A win over the Lions would do a lot to rebuild the homefield advantage the Saints cultivated for more than a decade, and prove they belong in the NFC playoff picture.

So the Saints are four-point underdogs, with the spread at -110; that means a $100 wager would return $190.91 if they covered. The money line is +165 as kickoff draws closer, which would result in a $265 return on a $100 slip if the Saints pull off an upset. But that feels a little close even if the Lions look vulnerable after being knocked down by the Green Bay Packers on Thanksgiving.

2023 Hero World Challenge odds, course history and picks to win

Tiger is back.

We’re in for a fun week in Albany, Bahamas, for the 2023 Hero World Challenge. Why? The GOAT is back.

Tiger Woods is returning to professional golf for the first time since the Masters earlier this year, a tournament where he made the cut but withdrew on Sunday morning due to aggravating his plantar fasciitis.

Ten days later, Woods announced that he had undergone “a subtalar fusion procedure to address his post-traumatic arthritis from his previous talus fracture.”

After staying away for months, we’ve seen Woods start to return to the spotlight. He caddied for his son, Charlie, for four days while carrying the bag and walking — without a limp — every step of the way. His short course at Pebble Beach opened. So, he’s been around.

Hero: How to watch Tiger Woods | Thursday tee times

But we’ve all been waiting for him to tee it up once again, and that moment will come Thursday at the Hero, an event put on by his TGR Foundation.

Joining the 15-time major champion in the field are 19 other highly-ranked players, including his good buddy Justin Thomas, two-time defending champion Viktor Hovland, Scottie Scheffler, Jordan Spieth, Max Homa and Rickie Fowler.

Woods isn’t the only player returning from an extended layoff. Will Zalatoris, who suffered a back injury at the 2022 BMW Championship and later withdrew before the 2023 Masters, will make his first start in eight months after undergoing back surgery in April.

Week 13 Odds: Cowboys-Seahawks, Prescott MVP, playoff chances, DPOY for Bland, Parsons

Pending MNF, the Cowboys will have the week’s largest margin of victory in for the 5th time in ’23. Deservedly, they have one of the largest spreads and several post-season award candidates entering Week 13.

There’s one game left in the NFL schedule for Week 12, as the Minnesota Vikings and Chicago Bears prepare to square off on Monday Night Football. The NFC North rivals will face off, and they’re fans certainly care, but the rest of the NFL world is more than likely already looking ahead to the Week 13 slate.

For the Dallas Cowboys, their focus is on the Seattle Seahawks, who they will square off with on Thursday Night Football, a week after the two teams had decidedly different results from their Thanksgiving games. And while all of the players are focused on team goals, performing their best as individuals is how they help achieve those goals.

So it’s not selfish for Dak Prescott to want to play well enough he continues to earn MVP conversation. It’s still team-centric for Micah Parsons and DaRon Bland to improve their odds to win Defensive Player of the Year.

Here’s a look at the Cowboys-related lines, according to BetMGM as of Monday, November 27 8 am Central.

Saints’ loss to Falcons hurt their playoff chances, but they aren’t out yet

The Saints’ loss to the Falcons hurt their playoff chances, but they aren’t out yet. A weak schedule is keeping their postseason hopes alive:

A weak schedule is the gift that keeps on giving — or at least one that can keep a bad New Orleans Saints team in the hunt for a playoff seed. The Saints’ loss to the Atlanta Falcons in Week 12 hurt their chances, but they aren’t out of the playoff picture just yet.

ESPN’s Football Power Index predictions give the Saints and Falcons an equal chance of winning the division (42%) with New Orleans slightly ahead (49% to 47%) when it comes to making the playoffs. That suggests the Saints are seen as the team more likely to squeeze in as a wild-card seed should they fail to win the division, but each team’s best path to the postseason runs through the NFC South.

It would take a miracle (and a lot of incompetence from the other wild card hopefuls in the conference) for either the Saints or the Falcons to lose the division and still get into the playoffs. They need the Minnesota Vikings, Green Bay Packers, and Seattle Seahawks to start losing games.

What are other forecasts saying? The New York Times playoff simulator gives Atlanta a 60% chance of making the playoffs with New Orleans behind at 43%, fueled by a 55% chance of the Falcons winning the division compared to a 34% shot for the Saints. It’s a more competitive race than other division title fights around the league, but not by much, and neither team is very impressive with their 5-6 records.

The Saints haven’t been in control of their own destiny for very long this season, and when they have had chances they’ve ended up fumbling them. The stakes are high with just six games left to play.
