Jaguars open as 1-point underdog vs. Buccaneers in Week 16

Oddsmakers think the Jaguars vs. Buccaneers matchup in Week 16 is a toss up.

The Jacksonville Jaguars are now 0-3 in the month of December while their Week 16 opponent, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, are 3-0.

Although the teams have been heading in opposite directions, the game is in Tampa, and Trevor Lawrence’s status is in doubt, oddsmakers still aren’t convinced that the Buccaneers will run away with a fourth straight win.

Tampa Bay is only a slight favorite against the visiting Jaguars, who may be forced to start C.J. Beathard at quarterback, and the moneyline is a completely even. Those odds could certainly shift as Lawrence’s status becomes more clear, though.
