Two Lions added to the Pro Bowl roster

Detroit Lions WR Amon-Ra St. Brown and RB Jahmyr Gibbs are now Pro Bowlers

The NFL finally corrected an egregious slight. On Tuesday, the league announced that Lions wide receiver Amon-Ra St. Brown was one of two Detroit players added to the 2024 Pro Bowl.

St, Brown and rookie RB Jahmyr Gibbs are among the additions to the all-star extravaganza, which has changed formats to a games style of event rather than an actual football game. St. Brown is replacing injured Eagles wide receiver A.J. Brown, while Gibbs takes the spot of 49ers running back Christian McCaffrey.

St. Brown was a first-team All-Pro but somehow failed to make the cut for the initial Pro Bowl roster. He finished second in the league in receptions and third in receiving yards.

Former Bengals 1st-round pick finally makes his first Pro Bowl

A former Bengals first-rounder is through to the Pro Bowl.

Former Cincinnati Bengals first-round pick Kevin Zeitler is finally headed to the Pro Bowl.

Given the strong career Zeitler has enjoyed since serving as a five-year starter for the Bengals and going on to have successful stints elsewhere, one might be surprised to find out he’s never made a Pro Bowl.

But that changes now, with Zeitler finally getting a nod via being named a replacement.

Zeitler has been a sour point for Bengals fans for years now, with the team’s refusal to consider signing him beyond his rookie contract (along with not bringing back Andrew Whitworth) the onset of offensive line problems that continue to this day.

Either way, Zeitler is through to the Pro Bowl now, with the Bengals currently having no other replacements named to join Ja’Marr Chase and Trey Hendrickson.

The Philadelphia Eagles had Jalen Hurts and Darius Slay named to the Pro Bowl as replacements for Brock Purdy and Charvarius Ward

Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts and cornerback Darius Slay have been named to the NFC team for the 2024 Pro Bowl Games in Orlando, Fla. on Sunday.

As first alternates, Hurts will be replacing Brock Purdy, and Slay will be replacing Charvarius Ward as the 49ers will face the Chiefs in Super Bowl LVIII.

The Pro Bowl Games replaced the traditional Pro Bowl, featuring a multi-day competition of skill games and flag football. The Pro Bowl Skills Show will be on Thursday, February 1 and the Pro Bowl Games on Sunday, February 4.
