Chicago Bears cornerback Jaylon Johnson broke up a pass from Houston Texans quarterback C.J. Stroud to Los Angeles Chargers receiver Keenan Allen, creating a turnover on downs with four seconds remaining.

Allen was among the standouts, with 90 receiving yards on nine catches, including three touchdowns receiving and one passing.

NFL Highlights: Kyle Hamilton’s Pro Bowl Interception

Putting the bow on a memorable 2023 season for a Notre Dame great

Former Notre Dame All-American safety [autotag]Kyle Hamilton[/autotag] had a massive showing for the Baltimore Ravens in 2023.  The 2022 first round draft pick earned All-Pro status and was selected to his first Pro Bowl.

In that Pro Bowl that was played on the first Sunday of February, Hamilton made a huge play in trying to set up an AFC comeback.  With the NFC leading 64-59 with just over three minutes to go it looked like they were about to score to essentially put an end to the contest.

Instead, Hamilton took advantage of a tipped pass and put the AFC in position to win the game.  Check it out below:

The AFC got deep into NFC territory but was ultimately stopped on fourth and goal.

Hamilton had four interceptions on the year, including a pick-six which was the first of his NFL career.

What a year for a Notre Dame great!

Former Notre Dame safety [autotag]Kyle Hamilton[/autotag] went from having a solid rookie campaign with the Baltimore Ravens in 2022 to being one of the very best defensive backs in the NFL in 2023.

Hamilton was named a first team All-Pro and was a huge reason for the Ravens defensive success.

Hamilton’s stat line finished the year with 81 tackles, 10 of which were for a loss.  He added three sacks and walked away with four interceptions, including a pick-six against the Cleveland Browns.

Hamilton was named to the Pro Bowl where in the flag football event he did what we’re used to seeing him do – intercept a pass.

Take a look at the best photos from Hamilton during the 2023-24 NFL season that saw him and the Ravens come within one win of playing in the Super Bowl…

Ravens: 11 takeaways from Eric DeCosta, John Harbaugh’s end-of-season press conference

We’re looking at 11 takeaways from the Baltimore Ravens end of season press conference held by Eric DeCosta and John Harbaugh

The Ravens season ended shockingly, after last Sunday’s 17-10 loss to Kansas City in the AFC Championship.

With the defeat, Baltimore faces an offseason of change after Mike Macdonald bolted for the Seahawks job and 20+ free agents, headlined by Patrick Queen and Justin Madubuike.

With questions about Lamar Jackson, the receiving corps, and a lack of rushing attack in the title game loss, GM Eric DeCosta and head coach John Harbaugh faced the media on Friday, taking questions for about an hour.

With the offseason now underway, here are takeaways from the presser.

Patrick Queen among 7 Ravens to to participate in these Pro Bowl events

Kevin Zeitler and Roquan Smith are among Baltimore Ravens set to participate in the Pro Bowl Skills showdown on Thursday night and the Flag Football game on Sunday

The Ravens were the NFL’s best team during the regular season, and the AFC power was properly represented on the Pro Bowl team, with seven players named.

Baltimore’s Pro Bowlers were quarterback Lamar Jackson, linebacker Roquan Smith, safety Kyle Hamilton, defensive tackle Justin Madubuike, center Tyler Linderbaum, linebacker Patrick Queen, and kicker Justin Tucker.

It’s the first time for Hamilton, Madubuike, Queen, and Linderbaum – all players General Manager Eric DeCosta drafted.

The Pro Bowl Games get underway Thursday, and every player selected except Lamar Jackson will be participating in Pro Bowl skills challenges.

Ravens players share praise for new Seahawks coach Mike Macdonald

For what it’s worth players seem to adore the Seahawks’ new head coach Mike Macdonald.

Players don’t have to love their coaches in order to be successful in the NFL. However, for whatever it’s worth Ravens players seem to adore new Seahawks head coach Mike Macdonald.

Here’s what Baltimore players are sharing about their former defensive coordinator, starting with what Kyle Van Noy posted on Twitter last night.

Perhaps the best player that Macdonald had over the last two years was safety Kyle Hamilton, who’s currently at his second Pro Bowl in as many seasons. Hamilton called Macdonald super-cerebral and probably the smartest guy in the room.

Baltimore’s stellar linebacker duo of Patrick Queen and Roquan Smith also have nothing but good things to say about Macdonald this year.

Additionally, three-time Pro Bowl cornerback Marlon Humphrey recently talked about what makes Macdonald a great coach on his podcast.

Patrick Mahomes told Ravens safety Kyle Hamilton he couldn’t guard Travis Kelce after TD

Patrick Mahomes had strong words for Kyle Hamilton during Sunday’s AFC title game.

The Kansas City Chiefs clearly had no problem letting the Baltimore Ravens know how they felt during their AFC title victory.

Outside of the fracas between Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes and tight end Travis Kelce and Ravens kicker Justin Tucker, Mahomes also got a little taunting in at the Ravens defense after Kelce scored a touchdown during the AFC championship game.

Mahomes boldly exclaimed to the Ravens defense (and safety Kyle Hamilton in particular) that Kelce was not going to be guarded.

Being that Kelce had 116 yards on 11 catches and the touchdown, we do think Mahomes kind of had a point, at least for this game.

The Chiefs are going to the Super Bowl thanks in large part to Mahomes’ and Kelce’s electric chemistry; those two really are a sight to behold.

However, we’re betting Hamilton and the Ravens defense will want to settle the score sometime next season when these two teams meet again as AFC divisional winners in the 2024 regular season.

Ravens players endorse Mike Macdonald as potential head coach in the NFL

Ravens players endorse Mike Macdonald as potential head coach in the NFL

With the announcement that both Detroit Lions offensive coordinator Ben Johnson and Houston Texans offensive coordinator Bobby Slowik will be returning to their respective teams, Baltimore Ravens defensive coordinator Mike Macdonald remains one of the hottest names on the market for teams still looking to fill their head coach vacancy.

“[Defensive coordinator Mike Macdonald] deserves everything that’s coming his way,” safety Kyle Hamilton said. “If that is a head job somewhere, then we’re all super proud of him. I think everybody has their own journey [and] own time in this league, and he’s a hot name in this league right now, and deservedly so. He’s done a great job with us for the past couple years, and he’s earned it, and it hasn’t been given to him. I’m happy for him. If he stays here, that would be dope, too.

I think [Mike Macdonald’s] the best [head-coaching] candidate out there right now,” inside linebacker Patrick Queen said. “I don’t think anybody does it like him. Nobody cares like him. Nobody will do what he does. He will not rest until he has everything right. Whoever gets him, if he leaves, they’re getting the best candidate out there. The guy is all around just the best person I’ve ever been around, coach-wise [and] person-wise. He really cares and truly cares about the players, the people around the organization and the fans.

[Defensive coordinator] Mike [Macdonald] is going to do a really good job,” outside linebacker Kyle Van Noy said. “If he gets a head-coaching job, he’s going to be really, really good. [He’s a] very solid coach, [who’s] very good at Xs and Os [and] very good at communicating and getting the team galvanized in the right direction for the main goal – and he loves football. I think that [it’s] awesome for him to get looked at as [a] head [coach] at such a young age that he has – I guess – in the league. But hats off to him. He called a great season as a D-coordinator, and I think whoever gets him – if he gets [hired] this cycle, this year … If [he doesn’t get hired this year], he’s going to be at the tops next year and the year after that. So, I expect big things out of him.

Macdonald has orchestrated elite defenses in both of his first two seasons as an NFL defensive coordinator and has emerged as one of the most promising young coaches in the game. Several Ravens defenders endorsed Macdonald for a head coach position following the end of Baltimore’s season.

Ravens reflect on AFC Championship loss to Chiefs during Locker room cleanout day

After having exit meetings on Monday, the Baltimore Ravens met the media and offered their reactions to the AFC title game loss to the Chiefs

The Ravens are again staring disappointment in the face after a 17-10 loss to the Chiefs in the AFC Championship game at M&T Bank Stadium.

Jackson and the Ravens offense imploded with three turnovers, and the team is 0-8 in team history when committing three or more turnovers in the postseason.

Jackson finished 20 of 37 for 272 yards, a touchdown, and an interception as Baltimore tied a season-low with 10 points.

The consensus favorite for NFL MVP, Jackson will have to wait another year to escape the notion that he’s unable to win games in the most crucial moments.

With a critical offseason and major decisions ahead, the Ravens cleaned out their lockers and had exit interviews with the coaching staff.  Afterward, they met with the media, and here are the instant reactions.
