TV network, kickoff time announced for Georgia’s home game vs. Auburn

Kickoff time and TV network announced for Georgia vs. Auburn on Oct. 8 in Athens.

On Saturday, Oct. 8, the Georgia Bulldogs will host the Auburn Tigers in the 127th edition of the Deep South’s Oldest Rivalry.

The game in Sanford Stadium is scheduled to kick off at 3:30 p.m. ET and will be televised by CBS. That Saturday will be a doubleheader day for CBS; the network is televising Texas A&M at Alabama at 8 p.m.

That will be Georgia’s next home game. The Bulldogs travel to Columbia, Missouri, to take on the Missouri Tigers this coming Saturday.

Georgia is 4-0 and ranked No. 1. Auburn is 3-1; its only loss was to Penn State. The Tigers survived a scare this past weekend against Missouri in a game that went to overtime after a wild ending to regulation.

This Saturday, both Georgia and Auburn have night games against SEC competition. UGA visits Missouri for a 7:30 kickoff on the SEC Network, and Auburn hosts LSU at 7 p.m. on ESPN.

Georgia and Auburn played for the first in 1892. Georgia leads the series 62-56-8 and is on a five-game winning streak. Since 2006, UGA has won 14 of the 17 meetings.

Kickoff time for Auburn-Penn State announced by CBS

The kickoff time for the Auburn-Penn State rematch revealed.

One of the biggest non-SEC matchups on the Auburn Tigers football schedule is the return game from last season.

Last season it was a close battle between Auburn and the Big Ten’s Penn State Nittany Lions. Head coach Bryan Harsin and the Tigers are looking for retribution on the Plains.

Following a six-yard touchdown run by Tank Bigsby and a 43-yard field goal from Anders Carlson, the Tigers found themselves within a point at 21-20 with the entirety of the fourth quarter still to go. Unfortunately, their last-ditch attempt to tie up the game at 28-20 fell to the turf.

Bigsby hopes for better results than he and the team had in Happy Valley. We now know that this game won’t be at night like the 2021 matchup.

Per CBS, the kickoff time for the rematch is set for 2:30 p.m. CT at Jordan-Hare Stadium.

Auburn and Penn State have played just three times in their history with the Nittany Lions holding the 2-1 edge. The only Auburn win came in the 2003 Capital One Bowl, in which Ronnie Brown scored both touchdowns in the 13-9 victory, the winning run came with three minutes left in the game.

Can Auburn tie the series back up at two apiece? We will find out at 2:30 pm on Sept. 17.

Notre Dame-Ohio State kickoff time officially set

Can we fast forward to September already!?

“You are looking live at Ohio Stadium in Columbus, Ohio!”

Alright, so Brent Musburger won’t be there to greet us when we tune into Notre Dame‘s 2022 opener at Ohio State but the start of the broadcast would certainly sound better if he was.

As expected, Notre Dame and Ohio State will take place under the lights in Columbus on Sept. 3 and will be shown on ABC.  That news was made official on Tuesday although anyone with the least bit of college football knowledge expected this to be the case but it will follow another week one helmet-game when Georgia and Oregon take the field in Atlanta.

Georgia may be the defending champs but you can go ahead and bet your bottom dollar that College Gameday will be in Columbus that weekend for Marcus Freeman’s first regular season game as Notre Dame’s head coach that just so happens to be at the powerhouse college football program he once played at.

Anyone else already sick of summer and ready to fast forward to fall?

The kickoff time is set for Alabama’s semifinal matchup with the Cincinnati Bearcats!

Earlier today the College Football Playoff committee released its final set of rankings before the postseason begins.

There was very little drama inside of the top four as it was pretty clear who would be in the mix.

Now that the matchups are set, ESPN is releasing the kickoff times for the playoff contests.

No. 1 Alabama will face off against No. 4 Cincinnati at the Goodyear Cotton Bowl Classic on December 31, at 2:30 p.m. CT.

Alabama is making its seventh appearance in the playoffs while Cincinnati is the first team outside of the Power 5 to claim a spot in the final four.

Wisconsin vs. Minnesota kickoff time announced

Wisconsin at Minnesota kickoff time announced

Wisconsin has not fared well during FOX Big Noon Kickoff this season—losing all three contests as betting favorites.

Well, the Badgers haven’t played a FOX 11 a.m. game since the loss to Michigan. That timeline has also consisted of now seven straight victories.

The kickoff time for Wisconsin’s season finale at Minnesota was announced yesterday and, I guess to the delight of Badger fans, the game will get underway at 3 p.m. central time.

The contest will follow Ohio State vs. Michigan on FOX Big Noon Kickoff—a game that will decide the Big Ten East winner and half of the Big Ten Championship matchup.

Wisconsin vs. Northwestern kickoff time announced

Wisconsin vs. Northwestern kickoff time announced

The Wisconsin Badgers have now won five straight after yesterday’s beatdown of Rutgers, a streak that has brought them to the top of the Big Ten West with only three games remaining.

Those contests are at home next weekend against Northwestern, at home against Nebraska and then on the road against rival Minnesota. The Badgers have faced tougher stretches of games this year, though we’ve learned this season to expect the unexpected in the Big Ten Conference.

Wisconsin controls its own destiny with three games left. That’s about all you can ask for entering the season.

That quest to return to Indianapolis will continue at 11:00 a.m. central next weekend when Northwestern comes to town, as announced by the Big Ten last night.

SEC Football: LSU-Alabama set for prime time on Saturday

LSU-Alabama kickoff time officially set.

The LSU-Alabama kickoff time was set as to be determined going into the weekend. After week nine action, we now know that the Tigers and Tide are set for prime time on Saturday.

Alabama comes in as the No. 3 team in the country according to the USA TODAY Sports AFCA Coaches poll. LSU remains unranked after posting a 4-4 record with four games to go. The Tide is first in the SEC West standings and LSU is hovering just over the basement. LSU-Arkansas next week could determine who is the worst of the SEC West division.

With three games remaining, LSU is dangerously close to posting a losing record in conference play for the first time since 2008 and the second time since 1999. The 2014 season was the last time they had fewer than five wins in SEC play.

Can the Tigers pull off a second-straight victory over the Tide in Tuscaloosa? The game is set for 6:00 p.m. CDT kickoff and will be aired on ESPN.

Time, channel set for Alabama’s matchup with LSU

Alabama has announced kickoff time for the matchup with LSU on Saturday.

Alabama and the LSU Tigers are all set for a matchup that may not be as climactic as more recent affairs between the school. With that said, this is still a rivalry game that is anticipated by fans of both schools.

In their most recent matchup, Alabama put down a beating on the Bayou Bengals, winning 55-17 behind 385 yards and four passing TDs by Mac Jones.

Najee Harris also had a fantastic showing, putting up 145 yards on 21 carries in November 2020. He also rushed for three touchdowns and averaged 6.9 yards per carry.

The Alabama Football Twitter page has finally revealed the kickoff time for the Alabama – LSU game and Crimson Tide fans should be happy with the draw.

The prospects of LSU making this any sort of a challenge for the Tide are nearly out the window. They have a litany of injuries and are playing with the knowledge that their head coach won’t be a part of the team next season.

Alabama and LSU will kick off at 6 p.m. CT and can be viewed on ESPN.
