Texas will end their five-game streak of 11 a.m. CDT games in Week 10.
The kickoff time for the Texas-Iowa State matchup on Nov. 6 was revealed shortly after the games on Oct. 30 concluded. The Longhorns will travel to Ames for a 6:30 pm CDT kickoff on FS1.
It makes sense considering Texas-Iowa State is likely the most entertaining Big 12 matchup on the schedule for Week 10. Kansas is Kansas (aside from the near upset of Oklahoma), TCU continues to struggle, therefore the only other viable option would have been Oklahoma State at West Virginia.
After an impressive win over Oklahoma State, Iowa State lost by one touchdown to West Virginia in Week 9. Texas is riding a three-game losing streak and is in danger of falling below .500. Both teams have severely underwhelmed up to this point.

Perhaps playing under the lights will bring good fortune to Steve Sarkisian’s squad? The Longhorns have been plagued by the same issues over the last few weeks, and fail to close out a game when it matters most.
Now that Texas is essentially eliminated from Big 12 title contention, Sarkisian and his staff should reflect on a few personnel decisions moving forward. This is a great opportunity for younger players to receive playing time and gain experience.
