Ohio State football’s tight end coach Keenan Bailey hints at a commitment coming soon

Is Bailey hinting at a Buckeye BOOM?

It seems like Ohio State football can’t be stopped on the recruiting trail over the last month plus.

The Buckeyes had gained multiple high profile commitments and transfers since the year turned to 2024 and the good times look to keep rolling. One of the positions that has added a player is the tight end room, and Buckeyes tight end coach, [autotag]Keenan Bailey[/autotag], is hinting that another might be on the way.

Bailey quoted Ohio State cornerback Denzel Burke, after the defensive back went to social media claiming that if you want to be developed, come to Columbus. It surely wasn’t a coincidence that Bailey capitalized TE in state, which is hinting a a tight end commitment.

If I had to guess who it was, it would be Oklahoma’s [autotag]Nate Roberts[/autotag], who has been to Columbus recently and has multiple 247Sports Crystal Ball selections for the Buckeyes.

If Bailey is right, Ohio State should be getting another BOOM! very shortly.

Ohio State active on recruiting trail, offer Alabama quarterback commit and more

Flip a Bama commit? Count me in #GoBucks

It looks like the [autotag]Ohio State[/autotag] staff is hard at work on the recruiting trail once again after the dead period ended on Monday. Not only are the Buckeyes being active with offers, but coaches are visiting schools across the country, making inroads with prospects and their current high school coaches.

One massive offer went out on Tuesday. [autotag]Ryan Day[/autotag] is looking to fill the quarterback spot in the 2024 recruiting class after Dylan Raiola decommitted. While the Buckeyes are looking to flip an Alabama commit, they offered an offensive star, another defensive lineman and others. Find out what the Buckeyes did Tuesday while on the road recruiting.

Ohio State to promote Keenan Bailey to tight ends coach

Congrats to Bailey on what should be officially announced by Ohio State soon. #GoBucks

The Ohio State football program is set to promote Keenan Bailey to tight ends coach according to an OSU spokesman. The move comes as a result of current tight ends/co-offensive coordinator Kevin Wilson accepting the head coaching position at Tulsa.

Bailey currently holds the title of senior advisor to the head coach and has been with the OSU program in a support role since 2016. He’s held several different positions but most recently worked alongside Wilson with the tight ends this past season.

A native of Pompano Beach, Florida, Bailey is an alumnus of Notre Dame where he was a recruiting analyst before joining OSU. He also spent his first year of college as an undergraduate assistant at Missouri. He has a degree in American Studies.

Word has yet to come on who could replace Wilson as offensive coordinator, but we’ll continue to keep our ears open and eyes peeled for any news on that front.
