Kershaw will be extra motivated due to posting the shortest outing of his career the last time he faced the Cubs. The three-time Cy Young winner gave up 4 first-inning runs and didn’t come out for the second in a 7-1 loss at Wrigley Field May 4.

“It’s embarrassing,” Kershaw told MLB.com after the game.

That’s enough for me to back the DODGERS (-200), but because the price is costly, I won’t bet more than 2 UNITS. In this case, a $100 bettor would wager $200 to win $100 and a $20 bettor would wager $40 to win $20.

Plus, the Cubs’ Alzolay struggles on the road, going 1-4 with a 4.61 ERA (27 1/3 IP, 14 ER) in 2021.

PASS despite Chicago owning the NL’s second-best ATS record at 43-34 and L.A. being 36-41 ATS, including 1-6 ATS in its last seven games.

I’m just not betting against Kershaw in this one.
