Where Alabama’s non-first-rounders could end up the 2023 NFL draft

Where Alabama’s non-first-rounders could be selected in the 2023 NFL draft!

Unfortunately, the first round of the NFL draft always takes the limelight. But the truth is, the first round doesn’t provide all of the talents that NFL fans will see next season.

While the Alabama football team is expected to see as many as four first-round selections later this month, as many as nine others could hear their names called over the final six rounds of the draft.

Even though the big four in Bryce Young, Will Anderson Jr., Brian Branch, and Jahmyr Gibbs are dominating the headlines, today we will look at Alabama’s non-first-rounders and when and where they will most likely be selected.

With the draft quickly approaching, mock drafts are flying off the shelf seemingly every minute. On Monday, our friends over at Draft Wire released an updated three-round mock draft following the first wave of NFL free agency.

A total of eight former Alabama football stars were projected in this particular mock, but perhaps the biggest shock of all is the fact that star quarterback Bryce Young fell to pick No. 4 and the Indianapolis Colts.

Let’s take a look at where each former member of the Crimson Tide is projected to be selected!

Patriots’ full 7-round 2023 mock draft 6.0

A full seven-round 2023 NFL mock draft for the Patriots after free agency.

The first wave of the NFL free agency period has come and gone, and the New England Patriots have seemingly dialed down the activity of moves. So it’s a perfect time for another mock draft.

As with the previous mock drafts, we have shifted to a what the Patriots will do, rather than what we would do approach. For anyone that has followed the team over the years, they typically have some surprises in store when the draft board goes live.

It’ll be fun to see how the real thing goes down in April. Until then, here is our latest seven-round 2023 NFL mock draft for the Patriots.

10 takeaways from the top DL, edge rusher, LB performances at NFL Combine

We’re looking at takeaways and instant analysis from the top defensive line and linebacker performances at the 2023 NFL Combine

The 2023 NFL Scouting Combine is underway with the defensive tackles, edge rushers, and linebackers putting on a show during the on-field workouts at Lucas Oil Stadium.

All-American defensive tackle Jalen Carter was a spectator after returning to Indianapolis following his arrest for misdemeanor charges of reckless driving and racing in connection with the fatal crash that killed one of his Georgia football teammates, Devin Willock, and recruiting staffer Chandler LeCroy earlier this year.

Carter, a projected top-five pick in next month’s NFL draft, had been scheduled to speak with reporters when the arrest warrant was issued.

The workouts went on and several high-profile players including one of Carter’s Georgia teammates.

Here are ten takeaways from the top performances on the afternoon.

7 linebackers for the Eagles to watch at NFL combine

We’re previewing seven linebackers for the Philadelphia Eagles to watch at the 2023 NFL Scouting Combine

The NFL draft started in Mobile, and now league personnel and college football’s top prospects are taking the show to Lucas Oil Stadium for the scouting combine.

With the Eagles set to retool on defense, we’re taking a look at the linebacker position.

Philadelphia has Haason Reddick under contract for two more years, but the other two starters, T.J. Edwards and Kyzir White are set to become unrestricted free agents.

The Eagles do have rookie Nakobe Dean, rookie Kyron Johnson, and Patrick Johnson under contract but could look to add more depth.

With kickoff from Mobile quickly approaching, here are seven linebackers to watch at the scouting combine.

10 linebackers to watch for Colts at NFL combine

Taking a look at 10 linebacker prospects to watch for the Colts at the NFL combine this week.

It’s NFL combine week, which gets kicked off on Thursday with the defensive linemen and linebackers.

Linebacker has been a position of strength for the Indianapolis Colts over the past few seasons and the depth was on display when the leader of the defense, Shaquille Leonard, basically missed the entire 2022 season.

It is a different case heading into the offseason because it is expected that Bobby Okereke will be heading to a new team in free agency and it is also possible that E.J. Speed will no longer be a Colt if he chooses to move on as a free agent.

With money invested into Leonard and Zaire Franklin, Ballard will likely turn to the 2023 NFL draft to add depth to the group.

The linebackers are currently scheduled to conduct their measurements and on-field workouts Thursday afternoon.

Here are some names to pay attention to when the linebacker prospects perform this week:

Nick Saban and his coaching staff work hard to develop players into better young men on and off the field. It has proven to work out for most as his former players have made it to the league or taken on other occupations outside of the football realm.

Alabama LB Henry To’oTo’o officially declares for the 2023 NFL draft

Alabama linebacker Henry To’oTo’o has officially declared for the 2023 NFL Draft.

On Wednesday, Alabama senior linebacker Henry To’oTo’o officially declared for the 2023 NFL draft. He made the announcement via his Instagram.

To’oTo’o spent two seasons at Alabama after spending the previous two seasons at Tennessee. The California native had a stellar college career for both programs as he tallied 353 tackles, eight sacks, one interception, and one touchdown.

To’oTo’o could have gone to the NFL after the 2021 season but instead elected to return to Alabama for his senior season. That could improve his draft projection as he was arguably one of the Tide’s best defensive players this past season.

He will finish his college career at the Reese’s Senior Bowl. He is one of eight Alabama players that will be participating in the game. The other players that are slated to join him in Mobile are Tyler Steen, Emil Ekiyor, Cam Latu, DeMarcco Hellams, Jordan Battle, DJ Dale, and Byron Young.

Roll Tide Wire will continue to follow To’oTo’o’s professional career as well as other Alabama players that will be entering the NFL Draft.

Seven Alabama players projected in first two rounds in DraftWire’s latest mock draft

The Draft Wire recently released a new two-round mock draft. Seven Alabama players were among others projected to land in the first two rounds.

We are heading into Week 6 of the college football season, but mock drafts are already circulating. In the latest NFL mock draft by Luke Easterling of The Draft Wire, there are seven Alabama players projected to land in the top two rounds.

As expected, the group of players is headlined by potential Heisman candidates Bryce Young and Will Anderson. Both have had incredible careers at the Capstone and will likely carry that success to the next level.

The Crimson Tide still have their sights on winning an SEC Championship as well as the College Football Playoff. However, a goal for each player on the team is to ultimately hear their name called one day by NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell.

With that being said, Roll Tide Wire will recap the latest two-round mock draft from The Draft Wire.
