The Georgia Bulldogs are among the top schools for wide receiver Daquayvious Sorey. Sorey, a former Georgia commit, is a member of the class of 2023 and is the No. 17 wide receiver in his class. Sorey is considered a four-star recruit and the 108th overall prospect.

Sorey is a talented football player for Chipley High School in Chipley, Florida. He previously played at Graceville High School in Graceville, Florida.

Sorey is a three-sport athlete who plays football, track and basketball. Georgia losing wide receivers coach Cortez Hankton to LSU certainly hurt the Bulldogs in their recruitment for the four-star wide receiver and contributed to Sorey decommitting from the program.

Daquayvious’s talented cousin, Xavian Sorey, a four-star class of 2021 linebacker, is a rising sophomore the University of Georgia. Kirby Smart still hopes the duo will play together in college.

The younger Sorey has received recruiting interest from some of the top schools in the country. The four-star receiver considers Georgia, Alabama, Tennessee, Texas A&M, Miami, Florida, South Carolina and Auburn to be his top eight schools.

Sorey started for the varsity football team as an eighth-grader. The 6-foot-2, 185-pound receiver shows impressive ability to track the ball in his highlights. Sorey is a solid route runner and is great at gaining separation at the high school level.

Georgia Bulldogs have lost a commitment from wide receiver Daquayvious Sorey. Sorey is a member of the class of 2023 and is ranked as the No. 14 wide receiver in his class. Sorey is considered a four-star recruit and the No. 97 overall prospect.

Sorey stars for Chipley High School in Chipley, Florida. He previously played at football Graceville High School in Graceville, Florida.

Georgia Bulldogs have landed a commitment from wide receiver Daquayvious Sorey. Sorey is a member of the class of 2023 and is ranked as the No. 9 wide receiver in his class. Sorey is considered a four-star prospect.

Sorey plays at football Graceville High School in Graceville, Florida.  Graceville is located in the panhandle of Florida and is very close to the border of Georgia and Florida.

Daquayvious’s talented cousin, Xavian Sorey, a four-star class of 2021 linebacker, has signed with the University of Georgia and is enrolled in school at Athens. The duo will hopefully play together in college.

The younger Sorey has received recruiting interest from Alabama, Arizona State, Auburn,  Florida, Tennessee, Texas A&M, and more. In the end, Georgia has landed a commitment from the four-star sophomore wide receiver.

Georgia, Florida target 5-star LB Xavian Sorey commits, signs with UGA

Five-star 2021 outside linebacker Xavian Sorey has committed to the University of Georgia over Florida and Alabama.

Outside linebacker Xavian Sorey has committed to the University of Georgia and will now sign with the Bulldogs. Sorey is a five-star recruit, who plays football and basketball for IMG Academy in Bradenton, Florida. Sorey previously played for Graceville High School in Graceville, Florida.

Georgia has already offered his younger brother, Daquayvious Sorey, a football scholarship. His brother, who plays for Graceville, plays wide receiver and is an elite 2023 recruit.

Sorey has good size for a linebacker at six-foot-three, and he weighs 214 pounds. He holds numerous scholarship offers, but picked Georgia over Florida and Alabama.

Sorey is rated as the No. 1 outside linebacker, the No. 6 prospect in Florida and the No. 20 prospect overall, according to the 247Sports composite rankings.

This is Georgia’s biggest recruiting win so far on signing day. Sorey gives Georgia a great group of 2021 linebacker recruits. Sorey joins fellow five-star UGA commitment Smael Mondon in Athens.

Athens wouldn’t be a far trip for Sorey or his talented cousin Xavian Sorey. Xavian, a four-star 2021 linebacker, also put Georgia among his top schools. The duo would like to play together again in college.

Sorey has received recruiting interest so far from Alabama, Florida State, Auburn,  Florida, Tennessee and more. Sorey was excited to receive his offer from UGA, but is entertaining his options at this point. That being said, Sorey released his top ten schools via Twitter:

Florida, Georgia, Florida State, Tennessee, Texas A&M, Alabama, Arkansas, Auburn, Kentucky, and Southern Mississippi make up Sorey’s first top ten. He’ll have plenty of time to update it as his recruitment changes. For now, it is quite SEC heavy and focuses on schools with close proximity to Graceville, Florida.

Sorey is a key target for Georgia. Kirby Smart and Georgia are expected to lose a lot of talent on the defensive side of the football following the 2020 season.
