Georgia football offers 4-star dual threat QB

The Georgia Bulldogs have offered a scholarship to Lowndes High School quarterback Jacurri Brown.

The Georgia Bulldogs have offered a scholarship to quarterback Jacurri Brown. Brown is a dual threat quarterback, who is a talented member of the class of 2022.

Brown, a four-star recruit, plays high school football for Lowndes in Valdosta, Georgia. He’s already received recruiting interest from Tennessee, Florida, Nebraska, Miami, and more.

Now, Georgia is the latest school to offer Jacurri Brown, who is currently a junior in high school. Brown still needs to polish some of his passing skills before he’d be ready to start in the SEC.

Brown is the latest example of Kirby Smart and UGA’s willingness to accept dual threat quarterbacks into their offense. Class of 2021 Georgia football quarterback commitment Brock Vandagriff is a great passer, and he also offers dual threat capabilities.

Former Georgia Bulldog star Josh Harvey-Clemons went to Lowndes before coming to Athens. Will Brown be the latest Lowndes product to come to Georgia?

Lowndes is one of the top high school programs in the state of Georgia.

Jacurri Brown shared his excitement at adding an offer from UGA to his list of scholarship offers:

Former Florida Gators 4-star signee makes transfer decision

Florida Gators offensive lineman Issiah Walker has made his transfer decision.

Offensive tackle Issiah Walker signed with Florida as a 4-star recruit in the most recent (2020) recruiting cycle, however, announced last week that he would be transferring before ever playing a game for the Gators.

On Saturday, Walker announced he will be transferring to Miami, staying in-state.

Walker played high school football at Norland in Miami, Florida. His transfer continues Florida’s trend of struggling to lock down top talent in the Sunshine State.

Whether or not Walker will be forced to sit-out the 2020 season is unknown. NCAA transfer rules state he will, but we’ve seen crazier things happen.

Florida fans may try to brush off another transfer, but the Gators losing another offensive lineman isn’t going to help them rush for more than 21 yards next time they face Georgia.

Donovan McMillon includes Georgia football in top-10

UGA football recruiting: Georgia Bulldogs make top-10 for elite recruit Donovan McMillon.

Georgia has made the top-ten for the 200th ranked player in the nation, Donovan McMillon.

McMillon holds 53 scholarship offers but was able to cut that list to ten on Friday.

A 4-star safety in the class of 2021 out ofย Canonsburg, Pennsylvania, McMillon’sย top-ten schools are as follows:

Georgia, Florida, LSU, Texas A&M, Arizona State, Michigan, Oklahoma, Oregon, Penn State and Virginia Tech.

He ranks as the nation’s No. 200 overall player, No. 8 safety and the No. 8 player in his state.

Out of his ten finalists, he has actually only visited two, Virginia Tech and Penn State.

Once he is allowed to visit schools again, he hopes to cut his list in half to five.

Georgia football target Kamar Wilcoxson de-commits from Florida

For a second time, Kamar Wilcoxson has taken a step back from his commitment to Florida.

For a second time, Kamar Wilcoxson has taken a step back from his commitment to Florida. The four-star athlete, a projected defensive back, originally pledged to the Gators in 2018 before de-committing in April 2019 only to re-commit three months later.

Wilcoxson is ranked the 12th overall ATH in the 2021 recruiting cycle and the state of Florida’s 31st-ranked prospect as per 247Sports.

Just this week, the Sunshine State standout told Sports Illustrated he was “solid in [his] commitment” to Dan Mullen, Todd Grantham and company. He’s since entertained Alabama and Ohio State fans’ tweets before officially announcing his intention to back off of Florida.

Though Ohio State is the current favorite to secure Wilcoxson’s services, the IMG Academy transfer originally from Lilburn, Georgia has been extended a scholarship offer from Kirby Smart’s Georgia Bulldogs. It’s one of the high schooler’s 30 total D1 offers.

The first of many came from a coach presently employed by Smart. Georgia faithful may be interested in knowing that current Dawgs’ secondary coach Charlton Warren held the same position in Gainesville at the time Wilcoxson initially committed to Florida.

With rapport in Athens and plenty of time before both December’s early signing period and February’s National Signing Day, expect Wilcoxson to make at a few trips to northeast Georgia.
