Ohio State offers in-state 2025 star running back

The Buckeyes don’t have to go far with their most recent offer #GoBucks

There seems to be a bit of a change going on with Ohio State and recruiting Ohioans. Part of it has to do with the talent level in the state, with the upcoming classes having plenty of national prospects.

Another is the fact that other schools have started to make some inroads with Ohio prospects. The Buckeyes still own the state and their recent run of offers show they want that to continue.

Over the past week, head coach [autotag]Ryan Day[/autotag] has offered talented in-state players like receiver Dorian Brew and twin offensive lineman [autotag]Devontae Armstrong[/autotag] and [autotag]Deontae Armstrong[/autotag]. Today the trend continued as Ohio State offered 2025 in-state running back Marquise Davis.

The Cleveland native is seeing his recruitment pick up as he previously held offers from Penn State, Michigan State, and a few others. This one is different as Davis has impressed the state’s powerhouse program enough to get a scholarship offer.

Quick hitting Friday Ohio State Football recruiting update

The Buckeyes are at it again, with a bunch of offers out #GoBucks

The Buckeyes are at it again: Another flurry of offers has been sent out to high school prospects. The last time [autotag]Ryan Day[/autotag] and his staff offered a bunch of prospects, it was mainly along the defensive line on Wednesday.

It seems Day and his staff have been hard at work going over tape of high school football players and making decisions on scholarships. On Friday, another round went out and [autotag]Ohio State[/autotag] learned it had missed on an Illinois tight end prospect.

Find out below who was offered, along with which prospect the Buckeyes missed on in another exciting recruiting day for the Buckeyes.

Where do things stand with Deontae Armstrong and Rutgers football, Penn State and Ohio State?

Deontae Armstrong talks being recruited by a trio of Big Ten programs.

Deontae Armstrong is likely going to turn into a priority recruit for many top programs around the country, and he is already emerging as a focus for several Big Ten programs.

Last week, Armstrong got offered by Rutgers football. The class of 2024 offensive tackle, a 6-foot-7 and 274-pound prospect from St. Edward (Lakewood, OH) holds several Power Five offers including Iowa State, Kentucky, Pittsburgh and future Big 12 member Cincinnati as well as Rutgers.

Another Big Ten offer or two could be coming in the next month. Armstrong continues to talk with Ohio State and he plans on visiting Penn State in July.

“I am highly confident when I go to Penn State that they will offer me. This is a school I’ve been realy close to,” Armstrong told RutgersWire.

“I started talking to them when I had around four offers and have grown with them until now. I have an unofficial visit the 28th and camp the 29th of July.”

Rutgers football just became the third Power Five offer for Ohio offensive tackle Deontae Armstrong.

At 6-foot-7, 255 pounds, the class of 2024 offensive tackle already has the look of a Big Ten lineman. He plays at St. Edward (Lakewood, OH). The Lions went 15-1 last season.

In terms of other Power Five offers, Armstrong has been offered by Iowa State and Kentucky. He also has been offered by Cincinnati, who will be joining the Big 12 next season.

Armstrong also has offers from Akron, Central Michigan, Miami (Ohio) and Toldeo.

With good height and length, Armstrong has a solid frame that can add more weight. He moves well and has a good bend as well as an impressive wingspan.
