A new era of college football video games has officially begun.

The new EA Sports’ College Football 25 video game was released on Monday, with fans able to play the game for the first time after 4 p.m. ET. This is the first time EA Sports has released a college football video game in over 10 years due to NIL issues in the past.

One of the first fun things to be pointed about by X user Michigan State Content, was the wide variety of helmets for players to select from for the Spartans. Based on the two photos Michigan State Content posted on Monday, there are a total of eight helmets included for Michigan State.

Shedeur Sanders clarified that Travis Hunter was actually mocking LAST year’s Colorado offensive line

It’s hilarious that Shedeur Sanders thinks this explanation makes things better.

After Colorado dual-threat Travis Hunter made fun of his offensive line teammates during a College Football 25 livestream, standout quarterback Shedeur Sanders issued a very important clarification that everyone needs to hear and understand.

According to Sanders, Hunter was actually making fun of his Buffaloes teammates from last year. Ohhhhhhh, OK. Mhm. That makes sense. If they’re no longer your active teammates, it’s completely fine, healthy, and not at all childish to make fun of them in public because you no longer have any real ties to them or anything.

Yeah, that tracks. No harm, no foul, really.

Hey, wait a minute.

In all seriousness, it’s so amusing that Sanders thinks this explanation makes Hunter’s public snafu any better. Purported team leaders shouldn’t be harshly critiquing their teammates in public — former or active — in any context. It just makes one look needlessly petty and silly, with any tangible leadership clearly lacking in Boulder.

The merit of the criticism never matters — these sorts of things shouldn’t be aired out for everyone on the outside to “laugh” at.

Oh, and newsflash to Sanders: the offensive line Hunter made fun of is a game based on this year, not last season. Just saying.

One Ohio State football star not on roster in ‘College Football 25’

Shall we start a movement? #GoBucks

You made it college football video game fans. If you invested in an early access release, Monday is the day that you can play “College Football 25,” EA Sports first release of its college football fanchise in eleven years.

We’ve alreay received a lot of news and video surrounding the release, like Ohio State coming in as the No. 2 rated overall team, possessing the top defense, a top five defense in the game, and eight players ranked in the top 100 of the game, leading all programs.

There’s sure to be more reveals as the game gets turned on across the world today (ahem, 4 p.m. ET), but there’s other things leaking out as well. In fact, we now know there’s a reson that defensive end J.T. Tuimoloau wasn’t one of those players ranked in the top 100, and it has everything to do with him not opting in thanks to reporting from Eleven Warriors. According to reports players that agreed to be part of the game received $600 and a free copy of the game, but it appears Tuimoloau decided against it.

J.T.T. isn’t the only scholarship player reportedly not on the roster in the game right now. Others include wide receiver Mylan Graham, wide receiver/tight end Damarion Witten, offensive linemen Ian Moore, Gabe VanSickle and Miles Walker, defensive ends Eddrick Houston and Dominic Kirks, defensive tackle Will Smith Jr., linebacker Garrett Stover and punter Nick McLarty.

Even without Tuimoloau, you should be able to wreak havoc with the OSU defense and make a run at a Big Ten championship by vanquishing the Maize and Blue pride, and making a run at the College Football Playoff. I know we will.

Colorado’s Travis Hunter mocked his own offensive line during a College Football 25 live stream

That won’t be great for team chemistry.

With the release of EA Sports’ College Football 25 set for this week, some players have gotten an early access to the game. That included cover athlete and Colorado two-way star Travis Hunter.

According to Hunter, the game is realistic — just not in the way many would have expected.

In a live stream of the game this weekend, Hunter had the game’s version of Colorado quarterback Shedeur Sanders leave a clean pocket and scramble into an eventual sack. After that play, Hunter read a comment that asked if the offensive line was realistic.

Hunter replied, “Yes, very realistic. They can’t block for nothing!”

Last season, Colorado did have one of the worst offensive lines in college football, allowing nearly 5 sacks per game. So, Hunter wasn’t wrong there, but you don’t hear many players call out teammates like that before the season even starts.

College football fans also had thoughts on the comment.

Late Kick’s Josh Pate plays as Oklahoma in College Football 25

Jackson Arnold checks in with an overall rating of 85 in EA Sports College Football 25.

[autotag]College Football 25[/autotag] is set to be released this week. It’s the most anticipated video game release of the last decade as EA Sports breaks back into the college football world.

The time and effort the folks over at EA have put into the game is becoming more evident by the day as details and screen grabs from the game make their way to social media.

For Sooners fans, we’ve received a glimpse of the ratings a few players received. Danny Stutsman and Billy Bowman were both rated above 90 and in College Football 25’s top 100 players. And now we’ve learned Jackson Arnold comes in at an overall rating of 85.

Late Kick Show’s Josh Pate played with the Oklahoma Sooners on CFB25 and came away excited for what the Sooners’ offense brings to the table.

“Oklahoma gonna be scoring sooner rather than later in EA Sports CFP 25,” Pate said. “Because this offense just could whip defenses like a government mule. [autotag]Jackson Arnold[/autotag] checks in at an 85 overall. The former five-star quarterback will have an easier time than most first-time starters acclimating to the game because he has one of the best skill rooms around. Running back Gavin Sawchuk grades out at 86 overall and provides the ground game spark. But fireworks could come through the air wide receiver Deion Burks (88 overall), Jalil Farooq (87 overall), [autotag]Nic Anderson[/autotag] (86 overall), they could have this offense humming.

One of the best parts of this game is you’ll get to play as current Oklahoma Sooners. No longer will you have to change the names and attributes to match your favorite players. You get to lock in immediately as Jackson Arnold and unleash fury through the passing game.

And with the Oklahoma Sooners, you’ll have plenty of firepower to work with.

Quarterback Quinn Ewers is the No. 27 ranked player in the game and a 92 overall and offensive tackle Kelvin Banks Jr. is the No. 13 ranked player with a 94 overall.
