One of the key remaining Georgia Bulldogs recruiting targets in the class of 2022 is ready to commit. Defensive line prospect Christen Miller has set his commitment date for Feb. 2, which is national signing day.

Miller is a four-star recruit and is considered the No. 19 defensive lineman in the class of 2022. He is the No. 107 recruit in his class.

Miller shared he will no longer announce his commitment at the Adidas All-American Bowl on Jan. 8.

Miller plays high school football for Cedar Grove in Ellenwood, Georgia. Miller is 6 feet, 4 inches and weighs 285 pounds. He projects as a 4-3 defensive tackle or a 3-4 defensive end at the collegiate level.

Georgia recruiting: Top targets to watch ahead of early signing day

Georgia’s recruiting wish list ahead of Wednesday’s early signing day

With the early signing period set to begin December 15, Georgia is in good shape to reel in another top ranked recruiting class.

Currently, the Bulldogs have the nation’s No. 2 ranked class for the 2022 cycle, trailing only Alabama according to 247Sports team rankings.

Kirby Smart’s landed some big fish in this class, including five-stars Malaki Starks (athlete), Jaheim Singletary (cornerback) and Mykel Williams (defensive lineman).

Georgia has 24 commits so far but will look to bring in several more and regain that No. 1 spot in the recruiting rankings.

Here’s a few targets Georgia is still in the running for that would make this class one of the greatest in UGA history:

Four-star defensive lineman Christen Miller set to make college decision

Christen Miller has it down to three schools, but won’t announce until Jan. 8 at the All-American Bowl.

Ohio State has had its eye on 2022 defensive lineman Christen Miller for quite some time now. Miller who is a four-star prospect from Ellenwood, Ga. has recently shared that he has narrowed his focus to just three schools: Ohio State, Alabama, and Georgia.

Interestingly enough, Miller said he has always dreamed of making his announcement at the All-American Bowl which takes place on Jan. 8. However, the prized recruit is planning to sign on Dec. 15 during the early signing period, but will not reveal his choice until sometime during the game on Jan. 8.

247Sports has had Miller crystal balled to home state Georga for a while, but you never know how these things will turn out. Miller has been to Columbus several times to visit campus and seems to have a good rapport with both Ryan Day and Larry Johnson. He also has a connection with Buckeye defensive lineman Antwuan Jackson who went to the same high school.

All good signs, but it sounds like the final decision is going to be sealed until the announcement on Jan. 8.

Ohio State looks to be sitting in a good position. No matter who Miller signs with, it will be interesting to see if the news can stay quiet for another three weeks before the official announcement.

247Sports has the Dawgs trending for 4-star Georgia DL Christen Miller

After a monstrous week, the Georgia Bulldogs now have the nation’s No. 1 overall class for the 2022 recruiting cycle according to 247Sports’ team rankings.

But Georgia is not done yet. 247Sports has Kirby Smart and the Bulldogs trending in the right direction for 4-star defensive lineman Christen Miller (Cedar Grove High School, Ellenwood, Ga.).

247Sports’ Crystal Ball confidence score gives Georgia a 71.4% chance to land Miller. UGA’s main competition appears to be the USC Trojans.

Miller will sign in December and announce his commitment at the Adidas All-American game.

He recently visited Georgia for the Dawgs’ home game against South Carolina under the lights in Sanford. He is also noted to be close friends with recent UGA 5-star defensive line commit Mykel Williams.

The  6-foot-4 285 pound lineman ranks as the nation’s No. 121 overall player, No. 21 ranked defensive lineman and as the No. 12 player in the state of Georgia for the class of 2022.
