Bears’ Week 15 Inactives: DT Akiem Hicks will start, DE Roy Robertson-Harris out vs. Packers

The Bears have released their list of inactives ahead of today’s game against the Packers, and Akiem Hicks and Javon Wims are active.

The Chicago Bears have released their list of inactives ahead of today’s game against the Green Bay Packers. And it’s officially official: Defensive tackle Akiem Hicks is good to go for the Bears.

Hicks was activated from injured reserve on Saturday, where he spent eight weeks as he recovered from a dislocated elbow suffered against the Oakland Raiders in Week 5. His return proves to be big for this Bears defense from a physical and mental standpoint.

Defensive end Roy Robertson-Harris, on the other hand, is inactive with a foot injury suffered against the Dallas Cowboys on Dec. 5.

Receiver Javon Wims, who was also injured against Dallas, is active for today’s game. Wims was said to have sustained a slight knee sprain that will not force him to miss any game action.

Wide receiver Taylor Gabriel, tight end Ben Braunecker, right tackle Bobby Massie, cornerback Sherrick McManis, tight end Adam Shaheen, linebacker Danny Trevathan and defensive lineman Abdullah Anderson are all inactive for this Thanksgiving Day game.

With Gabriel’s absence, wide receiver Riley Ridley is active for the second time in his career and figures to get some action today.

The Bears are thin at tight end with Braunecker and Shaheen being inactive, which leaves them with Jesper Horsted and JP Holtz at tight end.

On the offensive line, Cornelius Lucas will start for the injured Massie, who is expected to be out for a few weeks with a high-ankle sprain. Rookie offensive lineman Alex Bars is also active for the Bears.

Here are the Lions’ inactives, who will be without Matthew Stafford, Jamal Agnew and Damon Harrison.

Chicago Bears rookie tight end Jesper Horsted gets his chance to see the field against the New York Giants as the preseason standout is active for Week 12.

He was promoted from the practice squad this week and gets the nod over Bradley Sowell. Adam Shaheen was ruled out of the game earlier in the week due to a foot injury.

Inside linebacker Danny Trevathan is also out for a seconnd-straight week with his elbow injury, and a spattering of other young players round out the rest of the inactive list.

Mitchell Trubisky was a full participant all week and was removed from the injury report on Friday after dealing with a hip injury suffered during last Sunday’s game against the Los Angeles Rams.

The Giants, meanwhile, will be without their top tight end Evan Engram, who was unable to go despite a bye week off.

Bears Week 11 Inactives: David Montgomery active vs. Rams

The Bears released their inactives ahead of tonight’s game against the Rams, and rookie RB David Montgomery is ACTIVE.

The Chicago Bears (4-5) released their inactives ahead of tonight’s primetime showdown against the Los Angeles Rams (5-4), and it’s good news regarding rookie running back David Montgomery.

Montgomery is officially active against the Rams. He rolled his ankle during Wednesday’s practice, and he was a game-time decision heading into a do-or-die conference game.

Bradley Sowell is also active against Los Angeles with the Bears thin at the tight end position. Last season, Sowell scored Chicago’s only touchdown of the game on a play dubbed Santa’s Sleigh. Could we see part two tonight?

Tight ends Trey Burton (who was placed on injured reserve Saturday) and Adam Shaheen along with linebackers Danny Trevathan and Isaiah Irving had previously been ruled out against the Rams.
