Watch: Nakobe Dean realizes he’s wearing an Alabama hat

Georgia Bulldogs linebacker Nakobe Dean accidentally wore an Alabama hat in the celebratory moments after UGA won the national championship

Georgia Bulldogs star linebacker Nakobe Dean is one of the smartest players in all of college football. Dean accidentally put on an Alabama Crimson Tide hat in the celebratory moments after Georgia football won the national championship against Alabama.

Here’s the moment Nakobe Dean figured out that he was wearing an Alabama national championship hat. Look at the surprise on Dean’s face!

Dean got his hat problem fixed real quick. The 2021 Butkus Award winner, All-America first team linebacker, and captain of the AFCA Good Works Team now has a big NFL draft decision to make.

Dean is majoring in mechanical engineering, but that did not stop him from picking an Alabama hat after the national championship. Those Alabama hats and clothing are now being sent to charities across the world.

Georgia fans are thankful that Dean did not pick an Alabama hat during his recruitment. The Horn Lake, Mississippi, native has 168 tackles, 7.5 sacks, and 10 pass deflections in his career with Georgia.

Georgia football drops hype video ahead of SEC Championship

Former Georgia Bulldog DE and College GameDay analyst David Pollack narrates a Georgia football hype video ahead of the SEC Championship.

Former Georgia Bulldogs defensive end and College GameDay analyst David Pollack narrates a Georgia football hype video ahead of the SEC Championship.

The No. 1 Georgia Bulldogs (12-0) will face the No. 3 Alabama Crimson Tide (11-1) on Dec. 4 at 4:00 p.m. EST. David Pollack, Kirk Herbstreit, and the College GameDay crew will be in Atlanta, Georgia, for the biggest game of the season so far.

Georgia will look to stop a painful six game Alabama winning streak in the series. The Dawgs will face a tough task against Will Anderson, Bryce Young, and the always-talented Crimson Tide. Georgia has the best defense in the country, but Alabama has the most talented offense UGA has faced all year.

The Georgia football trailer for the SEC Championship will give Bulldog fans chills:

Who is ready for the SEC Championship? Kirby Smart and Georgia will have a chance to finally get over the hump and beat Nick Saban and the Alabama Crimson Tide.

David Pollack is no stranger to playing in big games himself. The former UGA star won an SEC Championship with the Dawgs in 2002. Pollack recorded 36 sacks in his career at Georgia, most in school history.

UGA, Bama among top 5 for 4-star DB Trequon Fegans

The Georgia Bulldogs and Alabama Crimson Tide are among the top five schools for cornerback recruit Trequon Fegans

The Georgia Bulldogs and Alabama Crimson Tide are among the top five schools for cornerback recruit Trequon Fegans. Fegans plays high school football for Oxford High School in Oxford, Alabama.

The Oxford product, who may be headed to defending state champion Thompson High School, is ranked as a four-star recruit and is the No. 77 player in the class of 2022.

The 6-foot-2, 181-pound defensive back puts Georgia, Alabama, South Carolina, Oklahoma, and Miami in his top five schools.

Fegans would join former five-star recruit Clay Webb as highly touted Oxford High School players on the Georgia roster. Fegans and his brother, Delvon Fegans, are members of the class of 2022 and are looking to play together at the next level.

The only problem is Delvon Fegans doesn’t have anywhere near as many offers as Trequon Fegans. Delvon has received recruiting interest from Toledo, UAB and Arkansas State, but Treqoun has offers from numerous major college football programs.

Trequon Fegans removed Tennessee, Ole Miss, Auburn, Florida, Nebraska, and Penn State from his previous list of top schools. He shared his top schools via Twitter.

Trequon Fegans shows good ball skills and is a playmaker in open space if he makes an interception. He exhibits good pursuit on rushing plays and has quick change-of-direction ability to break on passes thrown in his direction.

Predicting every SEC team’s final 2021 record

We tried to predict the final 2021 record for each team in the SEC for this upcoming 2021 college football season.

The 2021 SEC football season will be here before we know it and the nation’s most powerful conference is hoping to bring home another national title.

With Alabama and Georgia looking to be the league’s top programs for the upcoming season, there’s a chance that the SEC could once again see two teams make it into the College Football Playoff.

We attempted to predict each team’s final record in 2021 and tried to account for the craziness that can ensue on any given Saturday in the fall (hence LSU losing to UCLA in the opening week).

Here is our final projected record for each team in the conference this season.Β Don’t be too harsh on us.

5-star WR Kevin Coleman hints at commitment date

The Georgia Bulldogs and Alabama Crimson Tide were among the top schools for five-star St. Mary’s wide receiver recruit Kevin Coleman

The Georgia Bulldogs were among the top schools for five-star wide receiver recruit Kevin Coleman, who is a member of the class of 2022.

Coleman plays high school football for St. Mary’s in Saint Louis, Missouri and is a twitchy wide receiver, standing at 5-foot-11 and weighing in at 170 pounds. He’s ranked as the No. 18 overall prospect in the rising senior class and the No. 2 wide receiver recruit.

In February, Coleman put Texas, FSU, Alabama, Georgia, Oregon, Arizona State, Penn State, and USC in his top eight schools.

On Sunday, he hinted at his potential commitment date via his Twitter account:

Coleman is a versatile athlete, who plays wide receiver, quarterback, and defensive back. Coleman is explosive and difficult to tackle in the open field. He shows great quickness and agility. Overall, the five-star prospect is worthy of his elite ranking.

Kirby Smart and the Georgia Bulldogs could use a few talented class of 2022 wide receivers with the projected departure of George Pickens (he’ll be an NFL Draft eligible junior after the 2021 college football season).

The Dawgs currently have the nation’s most talented class of 2022. De’Nylon Morrissette is Georgia’s only wide receiver commitment at the moment, but the Bulldogs do have commitments from a pair of elite athletes that could end up as wide receivers.

In addition to football, Coleman also runs track, a major reason why top college football programs covet him.

Georgia, Alabama among top 5 for 4-star RB Branson Robinson

The Georgia Bulldogs and Alabama Crimson Tide are among the top schools looking to land a commitment from running back Branson Robinson.

The Georgia Bulldogs and Alabama Crimson Tide are among the top schools that are battling to land a commitment from elite running back recruit Branson Robinson.

Branson Robinson is a star at Germantown High School in Madison, Misssissippi. He is considered a four-star recruit and is rated as the No. 7 running back prospect in the rising senior class.

The Germantown standout is additionally ranked as the No. 2 recruit in the state of Mississippi. Robinson is a strong player, who has a frame very similar to Georgia Bulldogs legend Nick Chubb. Robinson is 5-foot-10 and weighs 220 pounds.

The four-star running back prospect announced his top five schools via his Twitter account:

Robinson puts Georgia, Alabama, Clemson, LSU, and Tennessee in his list of top schools. He remains open in his recruitment. Robinson surprisingly snubbed the Mississippi State Bulldogs from his top five.

Georgia and Mississippi State are projected to land a commitment from Robinson, but the touted running back prospect appears to be headed out of his home state.

Kirby Smart and the University of Georgia have 12 commitments in the class of 2022 at the moment. Branson Robinson, who is a 2022 recruit, could join four-star running back Jordan James as Georgia’s second commitment at the position.

Five-star S Terrion Arnold makes commitment

Five-star safety Terrion Arnold from Tallahassee, Florida, has committed to the Alabama Crimson Tide over Georgia and Florida.

Five-star safety Terrion Arnold from John Paul II Catholic High School in Tallahassee, Florida, has committed to the Alabama Crimson Tide. Arnold was Georgia’s top remaining target in the class of 2021.

Arnold is a versatile prospect, who has spent some time playing cornerback and wide receiver in addition to safety. The five-star exhibits impressive ball skills in jump ball situations. He’s a willing tackler and has the ability to play as a freshman.

Arnold was considering Georgia, Alabama, and Florida. The No. 2 rated safety in the country announced his commitment on ESPN. Arnold’s decision isn’t shocking, but he cements Alabama’s recruiting class as one of the best ever.

Nick Saban and Alabama football aren’t going anywhere for a long time. That’s bad news for Georgia and the rest of college football.

Georgia’s 2021 national signing day has been a quite one. Fortunately, the Bulldogs landed a commitment from four-star defensive tackle Bear Alexander.

Georgia football among De’Nylon Morrissette’s top seven

The Georgia Bulldogs are among the top school for four-star wide receiver recruit De’Nylon Morrissette

The Georgia Bulldogs are among the top school for four-star wide receiver recruit De’Nylon Morrissette. Morrissette is a member of the class of 2022.

Morrissette plays his high school football for Brookwood, which is located in Snellville, Georgia. Snellville is a longtime recruiting pipeline. It is home to legendary Georgia Bulldog duo David Pollack and David Greene.

He plays alongside one of Georgia’s two commitments in the class of 2022: Marquis Groves-Killebrew. Don’t worry, Georgia fans, Morrissette has yet another connection to UGA. He is high school teammates with Samuel M’Bake, a 2022 four-star wide receiver, who has received a scholarship from the Dawgs.

Morrissette is 6 feet, 1 inch and weighs 200 pounds. He previously played high school football for St. Frances Academy in Baltimore, Maryland. St. Frances Academy is an elite high school football program.

Additionally, St. Frances Academy is home to University of Georgia class of 2021 signee Jamon Dumas-Johnson. Dumas-Johnson is a four-star linebacker, who has excellent speed.

Morrissette announced his top seven of Alabama, Georgia, Georgia Tech, Notre Dame, Oregon, South Carolina and USC via his Twitter account. The Alabama Crimson Tide are considered the favorite to land the four-star wide receiver.

College football analyst Joel Klatt ranks Georgia No. 1 for 2021

Joel Klatt, a college football analyst, ranks the Georgia Bulldogs as his No. 1 team in his way-too-early 2021 college football rankings

Joel Klatt, a Fox Sports college football analyst, ranks the Georgia Bulldogs as his No. 1 team in his way-too-early 2021 college football rankings. Klatt ranks National Championship winning Alabama No. 2.

The Crimson Tide are likely losing wide receivers Jaylen Waddle and DeVonta Smith to the 2021 NFL Draft along with starting quarterback Mac Jones. Nick Saban and Alabama will reload once again and should (and will) probably be ranked No. 1 entering into the 2021 season. Alabama will return almost their entire defense and is stocked with talent.

The Georgia Bulldogs return some serious offensive firepower in quarterback JT Daniels, wide receiver George Pickens, and more. Georgia is very talented, but needs to prove itself before being ranked No. 1. Additionally, Georgia is losing numerous defenders to the 2021 NFL Draft, including the majority of Georgia’s secondary.

The Oklahoma Sooners,Β Ohio State Buckeyes and Clemson Tigers round out Klatt’s top five. These are essentially the same teams who have been making the College Football Playoff almost every season.

The Georgia Bulldogs and Clemson Tigers are scheduled to open the 2021 season in Charlotte, North Carolina, so Georgia and Clemson fans won’t have to wait long to know if their team is good.

Klatt shared his full top ten rankings for 2021 via his Twitter account:

What do you think of these way-too-early rankings? Texas A&M, Oregon, and USC all think they’re worthy of a high early ranking, but aren’t on Klatt’s list. LSU certainly has the talent of a top ten team, but the Tigers were lackluster throughout the 2020 season.
